JVC’s New Dual-Dock Speaker System for iPad and iPhone

JVC is now shipping the UX-VJ3B speaker system. It not only looks awesome, but the UX-VJ3B has dual-dock support for the iPad and iPhone at the same time. It’s also affordable at $199.99 and will mount your iPad and iPhone side by side.

Features include a horizontal iPad dock, a rotatable dock for the iPod and iPhone, detachable speakers, auxiliary audio input, mini-USB input, a subwoofer output, a video output, and AM/FM tuner. There’s also an alarm clock, a sleep timer, and a remote.

Beatles sell 2 million songs, 450,000 albums on iTunes debut

The Beatles’s first appearance on a digital store has led to a dramatic uptick in sales, according to data from Apple. About two million individual tracks and 450,000 albums were sold on iTunes in the first week alone.

Information collected by Billboard gave 1969′s Abbey Road the lead, both as the top-selling album and for “Here Comes the Sun” as the top-selling song. Many consider Abbey Road to be their best album. Now a newer generation of listeners can be exposed to the band, while others can re-discover them.

Dish to bring streaming TV to mobile devices

Dish Network hopes to not only keep their current subscribers happy, but also gain some new subscribers by adding another value-added service. They want you to be able to watch satellite TV programs on your mobile devices. Without paying an extra dime for it.

That’s right, this means that your iPad, iPhone, iPod touch and BlackBerrys will be able to take advantage of this starting next month. Android users will have to wait an extra month. Unless the mobile user has a Dish-compatible, dual-tuner DVR at home, however, they will have to watch whatever channel is set at home.

Apple iPad launchApple launched it’s new iPad tablet on Saturday, meeting long lines of individuals anxiously waiting, some for many hours, to purchase the new mobile device. The release of the iPad is the most anticipated product Apple has released since the iPhone launch in 2007, with almost as much hype surrounding it.

The iPads going on sale Saturday are the WiFi-only versions and are priced from $499 to $699 depending on the storage capacity desired, which ranges from 16GB to 64GB. Apple will release a 3G version of the iPad later in the month with prices ranging from $629 to $829, again depending on storage capacity.

The iPad devices are a small tablet-like device with a 9.7-inch touch screen (on screen keyboard) and they run an operating system very similar to the iPhone or iPod touch. They have the ability to download and play music and videos from Apple’s iTunes library, read books e-books with Apple’s new iBook application and use thousands of applications from the Apple App Store for the iPad.

I have used my iPhone as a timer when I was cooking something a bunch of times. I also use the iPhone as my alarm clock and my watch and I bet lots of you do as well. iHome has a new speaker dock that has a clock, kitchen timer and other cool features for the iPhone and iPod.

Onyko TX-SR608 receiver with six HDMI inputs

The Onyko TX-SR608 receiver is the latest receiver from the company. It will arrive next month for $599 and for that price you get six, count em six, HDMI 1.4 inputs and the ability to upscale lower resolution video to 1080p.

All six HDMI 1.4 inputs are capable of passing 3D video as well, with one of the inputs located on the front. All HD audio formats are able to be decoded, and it uses 192kHz/24-bit Burr-Brown DACs. Dual subwoofer outputs and 7 x 160W output is an upgrade over the previous TX-SR607 model, which only had 90 watts per channel.

Dualie is a silly name, but fitting for this product. Buffalo has released the Buffalo Dualie. The Dualie is a 500GB portable hard drive, and a dock for your iPhone or iPod, allowing you to save some space on your desk, by docking both products together in one base.

Two in one. Dualie. Get it? Those folks at Buffalo sure are clever. It’s a much better name than doubly or SinglyX2. The device features 2 additional USB ports, and lets you sync your device with your computer and access the hard drive at the same time.
