HPI G-Dog is next generation of robotic dogs
Man, John and Sarah Connor’s job just keeps getting harder. This is what our robot overlords will use to track us down and tear our legs off so they can then stand over us laughing before they kill us by pulling our hearts out.

The HPI robotic G-Dog is powered by 7.2 volt nickel hydrogen batteries, he’s equipped with three-axis acceleration sensors and stands at 7.5 inches. The G-Dog comes as a kit for robot enthusiasts, so you’ll have to build him. He should go on sale in July, no price has been announced yet.

Bagetty microwave for the hot dogs, baguette obsessed
It looks like a flashlight with a cord attached, but that would be silly wouldn’t it? Almost as silly as the microwave concept that it really is. It was designed by Martin Zampach, and this microwave is far from traditional.

If your one of those types whose diet consists entirely of hot dogs, sausages, sticks of bread and the like, it would probably work out well for you, despite the fact that your heart is about to burst. I’ll stick with the traditional microwave, just a little while longer.

World’s first Etch-a-Sketch clock
Here’s a first. The world’s first Etch-A-Sketch clock. They obviously went through a ton of trouble to make it a reality as well. God bless their zelda loving geek hearts. Every minute the device draws out the time in a matter of seconds and then actually erases it to start the process all over again for the next minute. Awesome!

Now if I can only finish my Lite Brite version of Dogs Playing Poker, my place will be all decked out in useless geek tech. Video of the clock below.

iPod Hoodie
This is for anyone who thinks that celebrities dressing up tiny dogs is oh so cute. Well, that trend may be on it’s way out, so why not dress up your iPod? Maybe it needs a wardrobe makeover. If you’re bored with your current gadget skins the iPod Hoodie is definitely different. If you don’t have a tiny animal to dress, this would be the way to go.

It looks just like the hoodies you wear, but more ridiculous as it is on a small iPod. They’re even made out of real sweat shirt material. The iHoodies come in shapes compatible with the iPod Touch, Nano, Video Nano and iPod mini, and cost between £9.99 and £10.99 or about $20. Think of all the fun you can have dressing your various devices and having lovely little tea parties. Why, the hoodie is a perfect way to recreate Eminem in the “8 Mile” movie.

Nintendo DS Lite bundles in rose & gold

2 great new bundles from Nintendo. Looks like they are taking the boy/girl route here. For the boys, the Gold model comes with Zelda: Phantom Hourglass and sports a special Triforce logo on the DS. For the girls(presumably), the Metallic Rose model gives you Nintendogs and adds a paw print in place of the Zelda logo.

Other then the colors and logos being new, you’ll get the same old DS Lite you know and love. If you are a fan of repackaged Nintendo handhelds that have had a repaint, you can pick one up for about $130.

Bone Calculator

Bone CalculatorNo, this isn’t some kind of cool device to calculate skeletal bone density, the number of the bones in your body or anything like that. It’s simply a calculator shaped like a bone which must be targeting dog lovers (or dogs themselves) with each of the little keys shaped as paws.

The Bone Calculator has a clamshell design that flips open to show the number pad on the bottom and a single-line LED display on the top part, and would compliment the desk at any pet shop, veterinary clinic or dog lover in general. The calculator measures …

Utlimate Dog Silencer to help with barking dogsDogs and barking go together like cats and meowing, milk and cookies and Britney Spears and a wig. If you’re the owner of a pooch that can’t seem to learn to stop barking at every slightest thing you should think about investing in Good Life’s Ultimate Dog Silencer.

No, it’s not a trip to the pound; instead it’s a doohickey that fastens onto a collar. Every time your dog barks the UDS emits high-pitched sonic and ultrasonic frequencies, the latter being only in the range that your canine companion can …

Measure Your Best Friends Exercise

Posted in Exercise Gadgets by Darrin Olson on January 21st, 2007

Pet Pedometer for your dogDogs need gadgets too, and there is no reason that all of the exercise you’re pet is doing with you shouldn’t be measured as well. I know that when I take my dog for a walk, he covers three times the distance that I do just by running around and sniffing stuff. It would be interesting to know just how much distance a dog goes in a day.

This Doggy Pedometer won’t measure the actual distance, but like a human pedometer it measures the number of steps and can record up to 100,000 …
