If you are a fan of Time Inc’s publications, you’ll be happy to know that it will be bringing all its 21 publications out as tablet editions before the end of the year. Time Inc. is the first major U.S. magazine publisher to make all of its titles available specifically for tablet devices.

Time Inc. has also announced a new agreement with Barnes & Noble to sell digital subscriptions of its publications on the NOOK Color e-reader. No surprise there. The new e-reader editions will be available toward the end of August.

Elecom’s new “Un Photoalbum” is a new kind of Digital Picture Frame that fills the gap between the conventional picture frame and the PMP. The idea is that users can enjoy “holding” the picture frame like they would hold the real photo.

It comes in black and white and features an 8” LED backlight screen with a 1280×768 resolution, has 2GB of internal memory, a SDXC Slot, HDMI out, USB 2.0 and USB OTG, and also supports Full HD Video playback as well as DivX, H.264… Video files. According to Nintendo CEO Satoru Iwata, the company is planning to implement paid downloads for both the 3DS and Wii U. Iwata said that developers will have access to the system for the 3DS by the end of the year and he said Nintendo was thinking about extending the life of some games by making new levels available.

Iwata said that Nintendo will not support low quality content either, as in unlocking keys or stat increases. Don’t worry though, he also seemed to indicate that free games won’t have added chargeable content later.

Netflix and Hulu dominate entirely separate sectors of digital streaming, according to a Nielsen study. Both are now available on many platforms, but Netflix is the dominant one on non-PCs, including iPads, game consoles, and media hubs, ranging from a three-to-one ratio on Apple’s tablet to seven or eight times higher.

Hulu isn’t a lame duck though. They win on computers, often by a wide margin, with 89 percent of its viewers watching on a computer versus just 42 percent of Netflix owners wanting to do the same. Networked media hubs like Roku boxes and smartphones were a close race, though they have a smaller viewing audience as a whole.

Sony has three new S-Frame digital video photo frames. The DPF-HD1000, DPF-HD800 frames support HD video play back with support for MPEG4, MPEG1, and Motion JPEG videos captured on digital cameras.

Both frames have an internal 2GB of memory and the HD800 has an 8 inch display with a resolution of 800 x 480 and the HD1000 has a resolution of 1026 x 600 with a 10.1-inch screen. These new Frames also have integrated speakers and are designed to also playback audio files supporting MP3, AAC, and Linear PCM.

LG is launching two new IPS TVs in Japan, the LV3400 (Full HD) and LV2500 (HD) series. The LG LV3400 is available in 32-inch and 43-inch models, while the LG LV2500 comes in 22-inch and 32-inch models.

Both of these LED backlight IPS TVs feature a of Digital TV tuner, a USB Recording mode, an improved contrast ratio and a higher color reproduction. The LV3400 And LV2500 IPS TVs will arrive in August 2011 for between 60,000 Yen($768) to 140,000 Yen($1,793).

Sony’s latest Cyber-shot camera takes 3D photos. The DSC-TX55 is also ultra-thin and compact. It measures just 12.2 thick, with a 16.2 megapixel sensor, the ability to record video in Full HD AVCHD, a 10X zoom, and the ability to take 3D photos.

It also features a super thin 5X optical folded zoom lens and a large 3.3″ Xtra Fine OLED wide touchscreen for viewing your photos. The Sony Cyber-shot TX55 digital camera will retail for $350 when it arrives in September in purple, gray, or black.

Habey USA has unveiled its new 12-inch touchscreen rugged PC, called the Habey PPC-6512. It’s powered by a 1.8GHz dual core Intel Atom processor, with a 512MB nVidia ION GT218 graphics card, a 1.3-megapixel camera, a 2.5-inch removable hard drive and a VESA wall mount.

As an added bonus, the Habey PPC-6512 can also output dual independent displays via VGA and HDMI ports with a max resolution of up to 2560×1600. Just when you thought that digital picture frames were dead, the Pix-Star FotoConnect HD comes on the scene. It’s a 10.4-inch, 800 x 600 digital photo frame with a WiFi radio and it can pull in pics from Picasa, Facebook, Smugmug, Shutterfly, Flickr, and MobileMe as well as others.

This one is unusual as it has support for UPnP and DLNA. So any pictures stored on your home network can easily be sent to it. Get one now for $189 at Pix-Star.com and Amazon.

The Toshiba REGZA 32BC3 will be released in Japan in September and features a 1,366×768 IPS panel with a 1,100:1 contrast ratio, a digital TV tuner and USB recording features.

Those are interesting, but the standout feature of the Toshiba REGZA 32BC3 is a Power Saving button on the remote that is capable of reducing the TV’s brightness up to 75% without image quality loss. That will save some power. The Toshiba REGZA 32BC3 HDTV is priced at around $826.

Digital cameras that can shoot video are a dime a dozen, but only a few give you the power to manually select aperture and shutter speed. The Lumix FZ47 from Panasonic gives you full control over both video and still photo capture with its Creative Control mode.

The 12.1-megapixel superzoom can shoot 1080i HD at 30 fps. It also has a 3-inch LCD, 24x Leica zoom lens with a 25mm wide-angle focal length, and you can shoot 3.5-megapixel stills while recording video. The $400 FZ47 will arrive next month.

Need a high capacity hard drive? Well, lucky you, Western Digital has shipped its first 1TB notebook drive thin enough to fit most portable notebooks. The upgraded Scorpio Blue measures 9.5mm tall and is thin enough that a MacBook Pro or most other thinner notebooks can take it with ease.

They achieved the slimness through fitting 500GB per platter and cutting out the third platter. You can buy the drive for $139 at resellers. We aren’t sure when it will come from PC builders.

Looking for a new media player? AMEX Digital has unveiled the MP-G7 Media Gate Android TV media player. This device is powered by a dual-core ARM Cortex processor and will deliver full HD video output over HDMI. The AMEX Digital MP-G7 also supports USB devices, like a keyboard and a mouse of course.
