Hasselblad ships 200-megapixel H4D-200MS camera

Posted in Cameras by Conner Flynn on May 25th, 2011

If you have a spare $45,038 or so, Hasselblad is shipping their 200-megapixel camera: the H4D-200MS. This medium format camera is based on a 50-megapixel sensor but composites six shots to create the resolution. The process uses a piezoelectric motor to create the image and takes 30 seconds, so this one is not for portraits.

The camera continues to shoot at sensitivities between ISO 50 and 800 and also keeps the True Focus feature, which uses motion sensors to auto-adjust the focus after the camera is rotated for an off-center shot. Photos can save to a Compact Flash card, though Hasselblad recommends using its hard drive tethering feature because of the 600MB uncompressed photos at the full 200 megapixels.

Marriage can be a lot like Tetris. Sometimes the pieces fall slow and they all click into place. Other times… At least I think that’s what this cake signifies.

The cool thing about this Tetris cake is that all of the pieces are separated so you could actually play the game if you wanted. Cool cake. Not sure what it says about their wedding though. May they have many games of Tetris ahead of them.

Sony to remaster some PSP titles for PlayStation 3

Posted in Sony by Conner Flynn on May 23rd, 2011

As cool as the PSP is, it is starting to look a bit dated. So Sony is introducing the PSP Remaster series for PlayStation 3, where Sony will port select portable game titles to the PS3 in high-def Blu-ray. Some of those titles may even have new add-on content and stereoscopic 3D support.

Another new bonus is that gamers will be able to share game save data between the two platforms. The key to the success of this will be what price they charge for these games that you have already played. The first PSP Remaster title announced is Monster Hunter Portable 3rd, which is Japan only and arriving at an unknown date.
