AndyPad Android 2.3 Gingerbread Tablet

Joining the countless number of other tablets on the market, Andy Pad will launch a new Android tablet in August. The device features a 7-inch touchscreen display, Google Android 2.3 Gingerbread, a 1.2GHz A8 processor and a 3D graphics chip.

Other features include an HDMI out, a USB port, a 3.5mm audio jack and a micro SD card slot. The AndyPad Android tablet will retail for £129 or about $208 when it arrives. Sure it isn’t Apple or HP, but it’s nice to have options.

HP TouchPad pre-order starting at $500, available July 1

The TouchPad won’t go on sale in the states until July 1, but you can get a pre-order in now from places like Amazon, NewEgg, Best Buy, Walmart, Staples, Radio Shack, and more. The tab comes in two versions: a 16GB version for $499.99 and a 32GB model that will cost you $599.99.

Both feature a dual-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon processor, accelerometer, gyroscope, compass, stereo speakers, Touch-to-Share, a 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera, and a 9.7-inch display. Get your order in now.

Samsung NC215S solar netbook headed for Russia

The sun is usually an enemy to laptops. Just try using your screen on a bright day. But in this case it will power your PC. First introduced for the African market, Samsung’s NC215S will be heading for Russia in August for 13,999 rubles ($479).

The lid is almost entirely a solar panel and so this netbook has an estimated battery life of 14.5 hours. The NC215S packs in a 1.6GHz N570 Intel Atom dual-core processor, 250GB of storage, and 1GB of RAM.

Lenovo IdeaPad S100 now available for pre-order

If you have been waiting on the Lenovo IdeaPad S100 notebook, here’s some good news. The computer is available for preorder from Amazon right now. The Lenovo IdeaPad S100 features a 10″ 1024 x 600 display, 1GB of DDR3 RAM, a 250GB HDD, and a battery life of 5 hours.

It also has a dual-core Intel Atom N570 processor. The Lenovo IdeaPad S100 comes with Windows 7 Starter Edition and will cost you $329.99 online. No shipping date yet, but at least you can get your pre-order in.

Westinghouse announces its first 3D HDTV

Westinghouse is now finally ready for 3D, with the 47-inch W47S2TCD. It comes with four included pairs of 3D glasses, a passive 1080p 3D display, 3:2 pulldown, three-way selectable color temperature, and a backlight enhancement tool called DayBright.

But that’s not all. They are also unveiling five other TVs and one of them is a connected TV: the 46-inch WC-4625T which has access to Netflix and Vudu. The 47-inch 3D TV will be available at Best Buy, Costco, and Target for $1199.

HTC Evo Shift 4G to get Android 2.3 on June 20

Sprint has announced that the HTC Evo Shift 4G will get an over-the-air update to Android 2.3 on Monday, June 20. The notification will be sent out in stages, or you can manually download the update beginning today if you like. When the installation process is started, the phone’s functionality will be temporarily disabled, so don’t worry.

The update brings SWYPE text entry capabilities, improved download management in the Downloads and allows the handset to stream media through applications that weren’t able to before. So these are some nice new features you can look forward to.

HP Pre 3 Now Available To Pre-Order In The UK For £360

Folks in the Uk waiting on HP’s latest webOS smartphone the HP Pre 3, can now get the device. It is now available to pre-orderin the UK, and it will go on sale at the beginning of July for £360 SIM free including taxes.

The HP Pre 3 has a 3.58 inch touchscreen display and a slide out QWERTY keyboard, as well as a 1.4GHz Qualcomm processor. There will be two models available, one with 16GB of built in storage and one with 32GB of built in storage. It also packs in 801.11 b/g/n WiFi and Bluetooth 2.1+EDR.

New Samsung Galaxy Tab 7 Coming Soon With Dual Core 1.2GHz Processor

Samsung has announced two new tablets in the Galaxy Tab range, the Galaxy Tab 8.9 and the Galaxy Tab 10.1, but what about the original Samsung Galaxy Tab with its 7 inch display? There were rumors that Samsung would release a second generation version and now according to HDBlog, Samsung will be releasing it later this year.

According to them the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7 will have a 7 inch WSCGA IPS LCD display, and a dual core 1.2GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, and Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread instead of Honeycomb. It will be able to make voice calls and send SMS message like the original Galaxy Tab as well.

HTC Flyer Dock Available At Best Buy

HTC Flyer owners can now get their hands on one more accessory. Best Buy has started selling the official HTC Flyer desktop docking station. It’s available in white and only in white. It will hold the Flyer in portrait mode and supports an MHL adapter thanks to a rear port.

The large power button on back glows or blinks in different colors to show the charging status. The official HTC Flyer desktop docking station is just $49.99.

Dell Streak 10 Pro Tablet Hits China

Dell will release the Streak 10 Pro tablet in the Chinese market later this Summer. the tablet is powered by the Google Android Honeycomb OS and has a 10.1-inch (1280 x 800) multitouch display, and a 1GHz dual core nVidia Tegra 2 processor.

Other features include 1GB of RAM, a 5-megapixel camera on the back and a front-facing 2-megapixel camera for video chat, an SDHC card reader, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.1 +EDR. No info on pricing yet. Hopefully we will know soon.

Acer unveils Aspire Ethos laptops in the US and Canada

Acer’s new Aspire Ethos 8951G and 5951G laptops were already available for £999 in the UK and now they can be had in North America. The AS8951G and AS5951G feature 18.4-inch and 15.6-inch HD displays and USB 3.0 ports, along with Core i5 and Core i7 Sandy Bridge silicon and GeForce GT 555M graphics.

They also pack in 5.1 channel surround sound. The AS5951G and AS8951G are $1,400 and $1,600, respectively. Prices start at $1,200 and $1,500 CAD in Canada.

HTC Sensation 4G available at T-Mobile, $150 online

Walmart shoppers got a head start on the rest of us, but now everyone else can get the HTC Sensation 4G direct from T-Mobile. The list price is $200 on a two-year contract and after a $50 mail-in rebate, and you can also get an extra $50 off when you order online.

That makes the cost $150. The same price that Walmart’s been selling it for. The phone features a 4.3-inch qHD screen, 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, and Android 2.3 with Sense. Sound good?
