Symbian and Sling MediaSling Media Inc. and Symbian Limited recently announced that the two companies are partnering to bring customers the SlingPlayer Mobile TV experience to Symbian-enabled smartphones.

The partnership involves Sling Media porting a version of its SlingPlayer Mobile software application to the Symbian OS in select European and Asian countries during the 4th quarter 2006 and ultimately to the U.S.

AppleAccording to new rumors surrounding Apple Computer, the digital music behemoth is readying two new cellphone models for possible release in January. In a report by Prudential Equity Group analyst Jesse Tortora, these new models could launch at the January 2007 MacWorld conference. Reports of Apple officially filing for the ‘iPhone’ trademark further fuel the rumors.

Tortora went on to say that “recent checks” give him reason to believe Apple will begin selling a smartphone and a slim music phone.

I wear headphones not only because I love to listen to music but because headphones are my only salvation to drown out noise of my office. I recently switched to the in-ear style of headphone in the hopes of better noise cancellation.
