Doraemon Limited Edition Casio EXILIM EX-Z800

Casio has something for anime fans with the Doraemon themed EX-Z800 camera which includes a light blue Doraemon carrying case. The EX-Z800 features a 14.1 mega-pixel sensor, can shoot HD video and features Doraemon’s face on the camera front.

There’s also power-on/off Doraemon wallpaper and several Doraemon animation props. This Limited Edition camera will cost you 29,800 Yen ($365) and will be available by the end of August if you absolutely must have it.

Rugged Casio G’zOne Commado gets official

Casio’s rugged G’zOne Commando is now official. It is coming to Verizon on April 28th for $200 on-contract. The Commando is the first rugged Android handset on Verizon’s network. The device meets 810G military specifications for water, dust, shock, vibration, salt fog, solar radiation, and temperature extremes and runs Android 2.2 (Froyo). Sounds like it has you covered no matter what the situation is.

It also sports a 5 megapixel autofocus camera, WiFi, stereo Bluetooth, and a hotspot feature to share the 3G connection with up to five devices. It also comes with some apps like a compass, pedometer, star gazer, and thermometer.

Here’s something for the nerdy James Bond who needs to crunch numbers while spying on those around you. Or maybe you just want to protect your office cubicle when you’re not there. The calculator spy cam looks like a Casio desk calculator with large buttons.

It’s fully functional with a pinhole on the side. The camera can capture VGA recording (640 X 480 resolution) at 30 frames per second for about an hour and a half using its 4 GB of built-in memory.

Casio EX-S7 and EX-Z35 digital cams unveiled

PMA 2010 saw the launch of a number of new digital cameras this year. The new cameras ranged from cheap point and shoots to more expensive and feature-laden devices. Casio added a couple new digital cameras to its EXILIM line including the EX-S7 and the EX-Z35.

The S7 is a 12.1MP camera with 3x optical zoom and a 2.7-inch LCD. The camera has several automatic features like Face Detection and more. The S7 can record 720p HD video and stores to SD and SDHC memory cards.

Casio unveils Exilim Rilakkuma edition

Casio’s Exilim line of digital cameras goes all cute with the Rilakkuma edition. Normally you might expect the image of Hello Kitty, but this time you get the image of an adorable teddy bear on the front of the camera with the Exilim EX-Z330.

Some features of this 12.1-megapixel shooter include a 3x optical zoom, face detection, Eye-Fi connectivity, HD recording, an SDHC/SD memory card slot and a 2.7″ LCD display. It’s available in Japan for $290 and includes a pouch so you can carry it in style.

Here’s yet another Hello Kitty camera to celebrate the cats 35th anniversary. Can you believe this kitty has been with us for 35 years? This isn’t the first 12.1 megapixel Casio digicam we’ve seen for Hello Kitty either.

This limited edition, is a Korea exclusive. The Casio EX-Z90 features all the same features as the regular one, including 3X optical zoom, auto-detect and “Intelligent” autofocus. It will cost you around $300 and it doesn’t get any pinker.

Casio introduces the world's slimmest toughcamWaterproof cameras are great for getting those outdoor shots in winter, but they are so huge and bulky. At least they were, but not anymore. At just .78 inches, the Casio EX-G1 is now the thinnest rugged camera in existence.

Yes it’s thin and can take a beating. It will survive a drop from 7 feet onto solid ground or a dunk into 10 feet of water. Plus this 12.1 megapixel shooter manages to actually look nice. Look for it in black or red next month for $300.

Casio Exilim EX-Z280 digital cameraCasio has just introduced the EX-Z280, a 12.1 Megapixel pocket camera with a 26mm lens along with 4X optical zoom. The real news here is Casio’s new image processor, the Exilim engine 4. It’s a dedicated chip that takes charge of all that stuff related to image processing and analysis.

Everything from smile detection to noise reduction, it’s involved with every aspect of capturing images. Another interesting feature is that the EX-Z280 also shoots 720p movies. Expect it to cost you $180.

Casio EXILIM now available on VerizonIt’s been rumored as the C721 for awhile and Casio’s EXILIM pivoting clamshell is now available to everyone on Verizon. The camera rocks 5.1 megapixels with autofocus, image stabilization, and a 3x optical zoom.

Some other features include: mil-spec 810F compliant for dust, shock, temperature, and water resistance. Expandability up to 8GB and compatibility with Verizon’s VZ Navigator service. All of that wet picture taking will cost you $279.99 on contract after rebate.

Samsung launches two new digital cameras

Samsung TL320 CameraIt’s usually cool when manufacturers launch new high-tech products and mix in a little retro design. Samsung has done this on a few occasions with its digital camera line by adding analog gauges to show certain key stats on the camera.

Today Samsung launched a pair of new digital point-and-shoot cameras called the TL320 and the HZ15W. The TL320 has dual analog gauges on the top of the camera that show the capacity left on the memory card and how much power is left in the battery. The camera has an AMOLED screen and records 720p video with H.264 compression. Other features include 5x optical zoom, image stabilization, and 12-megapixel resolution.
