Econut concept iPad case made from coconut fibers

Out of all the cases we have seen for the iPad, none of them have been made from coconuts before. The Econut iPad case concept is an iPad protective cover with a slim keyboard that works over Bluetooth.

The design is pretty sexy and sleek. It’s crazy. It’s nuts. Coconuts that is. What’s next? An iPad case made from banana skins? Wouldn’t surprise us one bit. I wonder what the texture would be like.

Joby Ory iPad Case and Stand

Joby has created a unique combination case and stand for the iPad called the Ori. The case/stand is made from lightweight aluminum with a microfiber lining to protect your iPad from scratches. The Ori takes it’s inspiration from origami and so when you fold out different flaps and stands, it allows you to position your iPad in different orientations, everything from the slanted typing pose, to a book page flipping stand to a simple movie watching stand.

Trunket has announced a new line of hand-crafted wooden iPhone skins created from American Rosewood that is then treated with various washes and finishes. These will give your iPhone 4 a more natural feel, instead of cold plastic.

Just make sure your iPhone 4′s surface is clean and apply the skin. It’s that easy. Right now, the new skins are only designed to fit the iPhone 4, but they can be removed and reapplied if you need to do that, Just be aware that the skins stickiness will become less and less overtime the more you remove and reapply.

Another iPad 2 case shows up with slots for mesh speakers

We recently saw some leaked pics of new iPad cases for the next-generation Apple iPad, and interestingly they had a large opening at the bottom of the case. Some speculated that it was for larger speakers or a built-in SD card slot.

Now another iPad case has surfaced that shows the rear with a metal mesh for an iPad speaker. This comes after recent reports hinted that the slot is for a speaker instead of an SD card slot.

Angry Birds iPhone 4 cases now available in the US

Last month we told you about those cool iPhone 4 Angry Birds cases made by Gear4. At that time, we had no idea when they would be available in the US. Well, now we know.

Gear4 is now shipping the cases in the US for the iPhone 4 and the iPod touch. The cases come in red bird, yellow bird, and green Pig King styles. You can order the cases right now for just $24.99 each. They look pretty decent if you like the game.

iPhone 4 Keyboard cases are everywhere. Seems like we see a new one every week. Now the TypeTop Bluetooth Mini Keyboard Case for iPhone 4 has showed up. It sports the usual keyboard and comes in a leather case with a flip-out stand for your iPhone.

Some other features include dedicated multimedia hotkeys and a 100 hour battery life. You can get one now for £29.95 in the U.K. and Europe. A French keyboard and German keyboard version are also available. No word on when it will hit the US.

iPad 2 case suggests rear facing camera, SD card slot

We have been hearing rumors about the features that Apple will announce in the iPad 2, and one of those features is two video cameras to make use of Apple’s FaceTime software.

And some supposed iPad 2 cases have shown up that seem to have space on the back for a rear camera, and an opening which is reportedly for an SD card slot. Take this with a grain of salt for now, but you never know. Anything is possible.

Level Twelve Wooden PC

The Level Twelve casemod from Jeffrey Stephenson is pretty decent looking if you like wood. The box is constructed from Teak and Birds Eye Maple and holds a 2TB hard drive, an optical drive and four front mounted USB ports.

Other specs of this mod include an i7-processor, 8GB of RAM, a 256GB Crucial C300 SSD and a Lenovo H320 case. Jeff makes computer cases look damn good. If we had computers in the 1950′s they would look like this.

Speck DustJacket cases for iPad and Kindle 3

Speck has unveiled some new cases for your iPad or Kindle 3. Both are called DustJacket and come in red and black colors. These cases are made of fake leather and are designed to prop up the devices so you can read or watch video easily.

The DustJacket for the iPad opens like a book and has a protective cover that folds back and the screen can be propped at various angles. There’s also a micro-fiber interior to prevent scratches. The iPad case is $49.95.

Pantone iPhone and iPad cases

The design community loves Apple products. They also love the Pantone Matching System. So it’s about time these two got together, don’t you think? Case Scenario thinks so, that’s why they have released this new line of licensed cases.

They’re Pantone approved and nine different versions are available for the iPhone and four for the iPad, giving you plenty of options. No word on pricing or availability yet though.
