Clothes Pin USB drive

Posted in USB Flash Drives by Conner Flynn on October 12th, 2009

Clothes Pin USB driveThe Clothes Pin USB drive is a handy drive to have. You can hang clothes on your clothesline with it and store your data. But you can’t do both. It won’t hold your clothes while in the USB port and it won’t save your data while drying your shirt in the wind.

But USB drives that clip to things are pretty convenient. It can hold your data while holding say, money, important papers…Could be used as a unique tie clip. Just don’t drop this into a pile of your mom’s Clothes pins.

Bluetooth headset and microSD readerBrando is calling this one the Ultimate Bluetooth headset. What’s so ultimate about it? Maybe because it comes with a built-in microSD memory card reader and supports USB charging. Ultimate? Probably not. To be ultimate it would need to be an in-ear iPhone or something.

Still, it is convenient to carry a microSD memory card with you at all times in your Bluetooth headset. And it only costs $39 to give it a go. They also offer an 8GB microSD card bundle for $65.

USB Tortoise MassagerEveryone knows that despite being slow, turtles are master masseuses. You just have to book your appointment in advance since they take their time. Brando’s USB Tortoise Massager sure looks like it would be relaxing. He’s basically a vibrating turtle with a USB connection that should sooth your tense muscles with his legs.

It’s powered by a pair of AA batteries, not by USB. God forbid he put some power into the massage. How much money would you expect to “shell” out for such a massager? Well thankfully the price matches this little guys power at only $10.

Adapter plays back HD on TV from a hard disk

Posted in Television by Conner Flynn on June 1st, 2009

Adapter plays back HD on TV from a hard diskHong Kong gadgeteer Brando can sometimes score a rare hit. We offer this SATA HDD Multi-Media Player Adapter as proof. This small adapter lets you plug in any SATA hard disk, SDHC card, or external USB drive, and play back its media with no computer anywhere. How sweet is that?

You have to wonder about the interface presented to you when you plug it into your TV via HDMI, component, or composite inputs. But even if it’s horrible, you’ll be able to view all kinds of audio and video formats on your TV, including MPEG-4, DivX, and AVI, without a PC anywhere nearby. That’s pretty convenient.

Potato / Deformed brain USB Hub

Posted in USB by Conner Flynn on May 26th, 2009

Potato / Deformed brain USB HubYou say potato I say pot-a-to. I think we can both agree that this thing looks more like a deformed mutant brain than a potato any day. Seriously, would you buy a potato that looked like this one? Me either. Anyway, if you like your USB hubs on the disturbingly weird side, this is for you, ya damn freak.

It’s a 4-port USB 2.0 compliant hub that is what it is. The USB Potato 4-Port Hub will cost you $16 from Brando. Not Marlon Brando, the gadget site. I know I’ve seen this thing it several B movies, but I just can’t place it.

Non-Shaking Cocktail Cyclone makes Tom Cruise sad

Posted in Kitchen by Conner Flynn on April 29th, 2009

Non-Shaking Cocktail Cyclone makes Tom Cruise sadWhat kind of a world are we living in where we make gadgets for people who are too lazy to shake/stir? If this Non-Shaking Cocktail Cyclone had existed and was widely used years ago, the movie Cocktail would have been completely different and completely boring.

Just press a button and the cyclone action begins. This baby will hold 16 Ounces and runs on 2 AAA batteries. It’s just one of a bunch of gadgets that make us so lazy that in the future, human arms will de-volve into T-rex type baby arms.
