What better way to open a beer than by using the force. Or at least a lightsaber. Well, now you can do just that with this lightsaber bottle opener from Thinkgeek. It’s how all of the Jedis open their beverages.

This bottle opener is around 5.5 inches long and has been modeled on Luke’s Lightsaber from Return of the Jedi. It is also an officially licensed Star Wars product. That means that you are funding one of George Lucas’ many remixes of the films.

Cap Storing Bottle Opener keeps caps off your floor

Posted in Concepts by Conner Flynn on March 20th, 2011

Opening a beer or ten usually results in caps being all over the place. This is mostly due to laziness and drunkenness. Well, the new Cap Storing Bottle Opener will solve this problem. It stores your bottle caps leaving no mess on your floors and counters. The opener sits on a bottle, which is also your handle. When you pry the cap off your drink, the cap falls down into the handle.

Not sure how many it can hold but at least it helps you keep things cleaner. We’re not sure if this will actually come to market or not, but it’s a great idea.

Bottle opener remote is the perfect man tool

Posted in Remotes by Conner Flynn on March 21st, 2010

On the weekend, when sitting in a comfy chair in our man-caves, men require two things and only two things. A remote and a bottle opener. When you put the two together, you get a tool of pure awesomeness.

The Clicker adds a bottle opener to the side of a universal remote, so you can open your brew and continue to channel surf. However this won’t help you if you drink canned beer. Too bad for you guys. I’ll be kicking back and relaxing.

Guinness Bottle Opener Cap makes getting drunk easy

Posted in Apparel by Conner Flynn on December 2nd, 2008

Guinness Bottle Opener Cap makes getting drunk easyIt’s beginning to look a lot like a redneck Christmas…I mean how much do you have to drink during a typical day, to say to yourself, “I need that there hat!”. If you see nothing odd about this bottle opener hat, then chances are pretty good that you attend Nascar races while simultaneously courting your sister. In case it’s not obvious, the Guinness Bottle Opener Baseball Cap has a metal hook on the brim to tear off caps, and it’s officially licensed by the beer company and all.

The cap sells for $25, which isn’t too bad if you absolutely must have it. But you’re probably thinking that your teeth have done the job thus far, and they can probably open another couple hundred beers. Cuz that $25 should really go toward brew.

Thumb drive/bottle opener is actually useful

Posted in USB Flash Drives by Conner Flynn on September 8th, 2008

Thumb drive/bottle opener is actually usefulCompleting the USB flash drive trifeca for this evening is the TrekStor drive/bottle opener. Since you already have a USB drive and you probably already have a bottle opener, why not combine the two? How many times have you found yourself opening bottle after bottle, getting blitzed while moving data around? More times then you can remember since it’s all a foggy haze.

It can store between 1GB and 16GB of data. Use it as a keychain and you’ll always have your data with you and never be thirsty. It’s not even a bad looking drive. Of course after a few beers everything is better looking, isn’t it? It will cost you about $10 when it’s released next month.

Star Trek Enterprise bottle opener

Star Trek Enterprise bottle opener
Chances are if you have this Star Trek Enterprise bottle opener lying around your home, you probably don’t have many female friends coming over for sleepovers. I believe this particular Enterprise with the oval hole in the saucer section is inspired from that episode where Shatner’s ego blew a hole in the command deck. The same episode where Bones said, “Damnit Jim, I’m a doctor not a Tribble vet aboard a floating bottle opener.”

Obviously, if you’re a Trekkie that likes beer you’ll want to spend the $24 to open your beer with this tiny starship, get drunk, then have a toy to play with.

Beer Tracker bottle opener counts your beers

Beer Tracker bottle opener
This little bottle opener has a LCD display that keeps track of how many beers you’ve opened, because as you know when you get to a certain point, you have no clue where you are, let alone how many beers you’ve consumed. You would think that constantly emptying your bladder would be some indication.

So, if you lose track and need a visual indicator of when you should stop, this little device will come to your rescue. I suppose it’s also handy if a bunch of drunks are in one room and one guy needs to brag. Note: It won’t make ugly women look better…The beer already handles that.

Bottle Opener Key

Posted in Home by Reuben Drake on July 23rd, 2007

Bottle Opener KeyI don’t think this is exactly how the “church key” got its name but it looks like it would fit the definition. This bottle opener is designed to actually look like a regular, old-fashion key but in this case the business end is built in such a way so that it makes a great lever for opening bottles. This allows you to carry an inconspicuous bottle opener on your key ring with it looking like you just keep a key to grandma’s old shed instead of laying suspect to your closet alcohol addiction every time …

The Ring Thing Bottle Opener

Posted in Rings by Chetz on November 13th, 2006

Ring ThingThis picture is pretty self-explanatory, but just in case you don’t make the connection this is a ring that has an opening on one side of it that works as a bottle opener. A little torque while wearing the Ring Thing on your “social” finger and you have solved the problem of always having to look around for an opener or some particularly strong surface area every time you want to open a bottle.

I have to say that this looks a little more sanitary than the bottle opener sandals we posted about in …

Bottle Openers SandalsHow many times have you been somewhere and gotten a bottle that’s not a twist off when you don’t have an opener?

I do not routinely carry an opener and I have been faced with this predicament many times. I would usually spend the next few minutes searching around the area for some fixture or hardware that even remotely resembles an opener and the whole time contemplating using my teeth against my better judgment.

Well, those days may be over with these new Men’s Bottle Opener Sandals by Reef. These cool flip-flop …
