Jabba The Hutt iPad Docking Station

Posted in iPad accessories by Conner Flynn on January 16th, 2011

We already know that Jabba likes to decorate his palace with things like, oh I don’t know, smugglers frozen in carbonite and whatnot. But what you may not have known is that he also loves to have a huge iPad docked right in front of him. Probably helps him sleep or something.

This natural wood dock will sync up your iPad, iPhone and iPod in style. Jabba’s style. Which is grabbing a toad out of your bong water and eating it up, while laughing at the Jedi who has come to collect his friend and is about to kill you.

There are many docks, but not too many iPad-friendly home stereo systems, so iHome has introduced its iA100 Bluetooth Stereo System, which is available for $199.

This docking station/stereo system offers Bongiovi Acoustics’ DPS technology, a built-in alarm clock, Bluetooth, and is compatible with the iPad, iPhone, and iPod via a 30-pin Dock Connector. It will basically turn your iPad into a fancy desktop alarm clock, which is no doubt exactly why you bought it.

Posted in Sony by Conner Flynn on May 24th, 2010

Sony’s VAIO W netbook is one of the most expensive in it’s class, so you can be excused for not picking one up, but this may just entice you to do so. This limited edition VAIO W has been announced in Australia, designed in a partnership with Billabong.

So if dripping paints and lime are your thing, this one should ship Down Under next month. The 10.1-inch machine features a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N450 CPU, 2GB of RAM, a 1,366 x 768 resolution panel, Windows 7 Starter and a GPU that won’t do 1080p.

Dodobongo USB dog

Posted in USB by Conner Flynn on March 8th, 2010

We haven’t seen as many cool USB toys lately, but this one got our notice. The Dodobongo USB dog comes from the same folks who gave us the USB Humping Dog. This guy isn’t quite that naughty.

When you plug him in, he will bark, get up and move his head whenever he detects a human body nearby. He sure looks like he’s been eating wayyy too much food. Maybe that’s why he’s the “slowest dog in the world.” He even blushes.

Sub-Machine Gun Beer Bong

Posted in Games by Conner Flynn on May 7th, 2009

Sub-Machine Gun Beer BongRe-enact 1920′s gangland crime in glorious beer with this Sub-Machine gun beer bong. It’s modeled after the 1927 A1 sub-machine gun, which I believe is the Tommy-gun. We don’t need no stinkin’ prohibition. This bad boy is 18″ tall and holds about 22oz of liquid.

The perfect beer bong for Chicago gangland drunkenness. Go on an epic drinking spree while G-man Elliot Ness tries his best to catch you and it will only end when he brings you down using the Tax code. But man, what a ride.

The Viking Horn Beer BongDrink to your Viking Gods and celebrate life with this Viking Horn Beer Bong. Praise Odin as you take beer in through the horn and pass vomit out as you burn and pillage your liver.

It has multiple uses too. Are you one of those 70 year olds that still loves to party? Drink up then hold it to your ear so you can hear all the goings on around you. This product is begging to be endorsed by Flavor Flav and marketed with a Viking helmet.

Russian Roulette Beer Bong

Posted in Home by Conner Flynn on February 17th, 2009

Russian Roulette Beer BongThe Russian Roulette Beer Bong turns drinking into a game of chance. Where the Alcohol Shot Gun holds just one ounce, this wheel/barrel thing holds 2 liters. I say combine the two for a Dirty Harry type spin the bottle game.

Just spin the roulette wheel and pull out a bottle. If you are the unlucky one, you’ll have to chug 2 liters of beer. The others are free to laugh until it’s their turn. All of your collective puke should make the bottle spin pretty wildly. Or it might just appear to be spinning faster from your position on the floor.

The Hemp-Mote: An herb-enhanced WiiMote

The Hemp-Mote: An herb-enhanced WiiMoteChocolate and Peanut butter, peanut butter and jelly, hemp and video games. Some things just go together. Modder DHRECK has moded the first ever WiiMote ensconced in hemp twine. It’s fully functional and covered all the way from the tip of the Nun-chuck all the way to the sensor on the WiiMote.

Stoners and hippies now have a new folk hero in DHRECK and are wondering how to give it a slow burn for intense gaming highs. Naturally, you have to wonder about the response of buttons and the stick, but if you’re using this thing, chances are you are more interested in your bong water levels then your game score.

NES Bong will have you seeing 1up mushrooms

Posted in Nintendo by Conner Flynn on October 2nd, 2008

NES Bong will have you seeing 1up mushroomsI don’t think you’ll find this controller at your local Gamestop. Aside from being several years out of date, it’s also a bong/pipe. Which makes sense. I mean, what magical land has mushrooms that can make you bigger and spit fireballs, ride a green dinosaur named Yoshi and warp travel through pipes, all while collecting coins so that you can presumably earn enough to fill up your homemade modded bong again?

Now, I question whether the game ever existed in the first place. It may have all been illusion. Some guy spent an entire weekend putting this together and claims it doesn’t work.

DIY Lego record player

Posted in Turntables by Conner Flynn on July 18th, 2008

Is there anything Lego can’t do? This guy builds himself an authentic old time record player using Legos and a plastic cup in under 3 minutes. Then proceeds to play himself a record, thereby proving the whole deal isn’t just the product of too much bong water. In this video we also learn that a coffee cup will improve the sound quality of a Lego turntable. Lego 8-Track anyone?

Spinmade Click2Knot: For fishermen with fat fingers

Posted in Outdoors by Conner Flynn on June 12th, 2008

Spinmade Click2Knot: For fishermen with fat fingersHere’s an interesting device that should help pudgy fishermen. If you’ve ever had trouble tying the knot on your fishing line, the problem may be fat fingers, drunkenness, or even the fact that you brought your bong along for the trip.

Whatever the cause of your Knot-tying skills sucking, the Spinmade Click2Knot can help you. With only a few clicks, the device makes a reliable Uni-knot in monofilament or fluorocarbon line. The device will be available this summer from Amazon UK and other “special stores”.

Poptherapy: The week in geek newsWell, it’s Friday. Another week has come and gone. As usual we’ve covered a fair amount of geek related freakiness at Poptherapy. Below you’ll find a small sampling of what we’ve been up to this week, none of it good for society in general, but an awesome way to waste time.

How about using a large digging machine to undress a pretty woman? Kinda like using a back-hoe to undress a real ho.(I kid…I kid. She was a very nice lady.) What about a half-baked smurf? If it’s gaming and apparel you’re interested in

NapTV: The lazy way to watch TV

NapTV: The lazy way to watch TV
This device has slacker written all over it. I used to think that laying around watching TV was as lazy as it could get. I was wrong. This may be taking laziness and TV to a whole other level. Too lazy to even hold your head up on your shoulders and watch TV? This gadget has you covered if you can step away from your bong long enough to read this.

With NapTV you don’t even have to sit upright just to look in the TV’s direction. You can lay under the damn thing. All that’s required of your sorry ass is to keep your eyes open. It was designed by Sung-kyu Nam, and it even serves as a chair if your apartment is completely devoid of furniture. When you tire of sitting on your butt, just slide under this thing again and tune out the world.

iPod sound bubbler turns sound into bubbles

Posted in iPod Accessories by Conner Flynn on March 17th, 2008

iPod sound bubbler
Every now and then I swear I can spot which gadgets potheads are designing. Like this iPod sound bubbler. It looks alot like a bong. In fact, if Cheech and Chong were still making movies, this would probably be featured in some weird scene where their iPod got stuck to their bong, while they trip out about the bubbles matching the rhythm of the music. “Dude, look!”

It’s from Spi and features a column of bubbles that flow out according to the rhythm of the current track being played. Like a Lava lamp, you also get red, yellow and blue lights changing continuously to help create the mood. It works with more then just the iPod, being compatible with just about any other device with a 3.5mm audio output, like CD players and portable media players.
