Boost Mobile unveils Blackberry unlimited monthly plan with Curve 8330 |
Boost Mobile is a pre paid phone service that uses the Sprint network for 3G data and voice service. The company sells lots of different devices for users to choose from and plans can be purchased that include unlimited data, voice, and texting.
Boost announced today that it is now offering unlimited no contract monthly plans for Blackberry service. Along with the new Blackberry service plan comes the Blackberry Curve 8330 smartphone. The smartphone has the same features as other Blackberry devices.

The Curve 8530 has now made it to Sprint. It will cost you $50 with a new contract after mail in rebate. This one features a 2.5-inch display, OS 5.0, 3.5mm headphone jack, and of course WiFi.
The holiday season is a good time to give someone in your family a new mobile phone. If they are still rocking that Razr from years ago, it’s time for an upgrade. Just be sure it is a family member you can trust to pay the bill and not run up the minutes.
So you’ve put off that purchase of a Blackberry, right? You’ve been waiting for a deal. Well, don’t wait any longer than next week. That’s when Walmart shoppers will be given a $100 gift card if they purchase nearly any BlackBerry phone on a 2-year contract from AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile or Verizon Wireless.
Someone over at BlackBerry Rocks posted a photo of a Verizon flyer that shows a buy one get one free offer. The flyer depicts a Tour, Curve, Pearl Flip and…the Storm2. There aren’t any real details included, but one can only assume that it could be a Storm2 launch promo.
You knew it had to happen eventually. RIM has just outed the new BlackBerry Bold in white, with a white leather back. It will arrive on AT&T for $200 on October 18th. We aren’t sure why they would re-color the Bold with the Bold 2 apparently coming soon, but they have some sort of strategy it seems.
You probably already know that your cellphone leaks radiation into you while you’re on the phone. Of course you do. Though we try not to think about it, it is worth knowing which cellphones have the highest and lowest radiation levels. To that end, the Environmental Working Group has launched a website that rates cellphones on radiation output.
This remains a rumor until we get something more concrete, but in an informal interview, a RIM executive strongly hinted that the BlackBerry line will be getting a front-facing camera for videoconferencing in early 2010. And they aren’t worried about the iPhone.
When it comes to smartphones the Blackberry line form RIM are among the most popular devices out there right next to the iPhone and the hoards of Android devices hitting the market. Blackberry has been busy unveiling new devices lately with the announcement of the Tour this month and now the official unveiling of the Curve 8520.
In many states a Bluetooth headset or hands free kit are a requirement when using your phone and driving. In other areas headsets are merely a safer and more convenient way to talk while driving. The problem is that often we don’t have our Bluetooth headsets on us when we need them.
If the Curve doesn’t do it for you, you can always go Bold. The folks at Computer Choppers are offering their latest 24kt Gold Blackberry Bold 9000. This baby is priced at $940 and is a blinged out version of BlackBerry Bold.
I really like my iPhone and I have had it since the first generation devices launched. It’s about time for me to upgrade to a new handset and I am just waiting until June to see if any of the rumors about a new iPhone coming are true. Being a married geek one of the caveats of upgrading my gear is that it has to make it through the wife approval o’meter. Scoff all you want single geeks, any married guy will know what I mean. One good way to get the approval on an upgrade for my iPhone is to convince my wife that she should take my current iPhone over her Blackberry, which is honestly nowhere near as good as the iPhone.
On the heels of RIM adding a push API, Google is enabling some BlackBerry users to get their Gmail and Google Calendar stuff on their handsets. Don’t jump for joy just yet. There are some shortcomings that limit its usefulness. Like the fact that users have to be connecting to BlackBerry Enterprise Server instances, and those instances have to be backed by Microsoft Exchange.
