We’re all eagerly awaiting the release of the new Batman game Arkham City on October 21st. Hardcore fans will want this collectors edition which includes a whole bunch of special extras, like a custom Batman statue, collectible art book, early DLC access, the Batman: Arkham City soundtrack, the DC Universe animated original movie Batman: Gotham Knight and four collectible cards.

There’s also the game of course, which looks awesome and is sure to provide many hours of play. It will be available for the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 in October 2011.

Sony Online Entertainment is offering the DC Universe Online community a free Batman inspired mask as part of its “make good” plan after an attack on the system that has led to two weeks without service to the PlayStation Network. All players who were affected will receive both the Batman mask and a 30 day subscription credit plus one day for each day the service is unavailable. Not a bad way to say they are sorry.

In addition, SOE is asking for patience as it returns service. “Please bear with us as the complexities of the subscription server dictate how and when this will be available along with pertinent details,” But hey, free batman stuff.

This seems more like something Batman’s Joker would use on unsuspecting Gotham residents, but it was actually created by a Japanese inventor. It’s called the Electro Smile. The device hooks onto your child’s face, then constantly sends electricity to your child’s cheeks, triggering the muscles to make them smile.

Creepy huh? It has an adjustable current, so even the most stubborn kid can be made to smile. This is definitely the work of a Batman villain. Why the long face son? Zap! he he he ha ha ha.

I’m a huge Batman fan, so I couldn’t believe it when I saw these. Mimobot Flash drives are finally embracing The Dark Knight himself, as well as some friends and enemies. The Batman line has versions of the old style Batman, new batman, Catwoman, Robin and the Joker.

Hopefully we will see more heroes soon, like the Green Lantern, Superman, and the Flash. These look awesome and should sell well for the company.

Lego fans will want to dust off their Wii and check out the official Lego Play and Build Remote for Nintendo Wii. Alas, the entire thing is not made of Legos, If it were, it wouldn’t be compatible with standard chargers and attachments. But it’s still pretty neat.

It will put you in the game more when playing those Lego Batman and Star Wars titles. These will be available on October 16th for $39.99.

Batman fans who own a mobile phone will love this Batman phone utility belt. It’s a replica of the one used in the latest Dark Knight Batman movie and has two pouches that can be positioned in different locations.

At last Batman fans, the sequel to the popular Batman Arkham Asylum has just been announced and it will be called Batman Arkham City. It will be available for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC in the fall of 2011. The game is being developed by Rocksteady Studios, Warner Bros Interactive and DC entertainment, and it will be set in Gotham’s new maximum security prison.

With the new Arkham in the city it should make for some interesting game scenarios, allowing even more characters to show up, so that you can bring them down.

Holy crap. What’s with that model’s eyes? She looks like she is about to sprout vampire teeth and drink my blood. Probably without even having hot vampire sex with me. Would you buy a phone from her? Anyway, the Samsung Wave has already hit the UK last month, but folks in the US have yet to get their hands on it. Now Amazon is offering the smartphone to US customers for $440 without a contract commitment.

If you’ve ever wondered how Batman gets his gadgets charged, this is probably the answer. The military has developed the Remote Auxiliary Power System or RAPS. RAPS can be deployed like a grappling hook with overhead power lines. Then a tiny blade will penetrate the power line and make contact with the live wire inside.

The area around the blade will make contact with a second exposed wire that all powerlines have, transmitting electricity to an AC to DC converter safely at the end of the cable.

This concept design for a futuristic Harley-Davidson motorcycle looks a lot like Batman’s Batcycle from The Dark Knight. And that is an awesome thing. Might as well wear the entire costume and cruise around Gotham looking for crazies.

The design itself is low on details, but we don’t even care. Ten years from now I want to be riding this thing. That’s all there is to it. By then I might even be able to afford it in my Batcave.
