Razer Electra Smartphone & Tablet Gaming Headset Coming October 2011

Razer has a new set of gaming headphones called the Razer Electra, which are specifically designed for tablet and smartphone gamers. They have enhanced bass response with optimized drivers, as well as replaceable sound-isolating leatherette ear cushions.

It also has a detachable rubber sheathed audio cable and detachable inline microphone audio cable for voice communication. However the combined inline cable microphone only works in a port that mixes audio and microphone capability, like many smartphone and tablet jacks.

When your speakers look like beautiful butterflies, your sound will fly to new heights. Oswald’s Mill Audio has released just that in a new two-way speaker. The OMA Monarch Speaker System is two 15-inch woofers in a unique enclosure that deliver outstanding bass even when using the smallest of tube amplifiers.

The wings work. They actually help to load the woofers to deliver better sound. The Monarch is available in several wood types and finishes, but there is no word on pricing yet.

Pioneer Offers A Pair Of Computer Speakers

Pioneer making speakers? Yep. The outfit has introduced a 2.0 system (the S-MM301 for $49) and a 2.1 system (the S-MM751RU for $129). The S-MM301 features triple-coil drivers, USB connectivity, metal grilles, built-in controls and a compact design that is good for travel. The S-MM751RU adds a dedicated subwoofer and more power.

The S-MM751RU comes with a remote that allows users to control the volume and play/pause/rewind/forward, you know the drill. It uses Maxx Bass Dynamic Sound technology. The system is rated to handle a total of 40 watts (20 watt subwoofer, 10 watts for each satellite).

Mark Neumann Coliseum XLS Speakers For $40,000

If you have a spare $40,000, these Mark Neumann Coliseum XLS speakers are what you want. Only 13 pairs will be produced. They reproduce audio using 360 degree disbursement capabilities inspired by the grand piano.

Made from wood, these speakers each measure 43.75-inches tall, 18-inches wide and 22-inches deep. They also feature a few 7-inch E7 reference drivers with high frequency tweeters on each channel and a bass system that features two 8-inch woofers with a frequency range of 20Hz to 20,000Hz.

Philips Fidelio DS8800W AirPlay-enabled Speaker System

Philips has debuted the modern looking Fidelio DS8800W AirPlay-enabled speaker system. This speaker features a total output power of 2x15W RMS, neodymium drivers, and even bass pipes for enhanced bass reproduction.

Some other features include a remote control and built-in Wi-Fi for AirPlay music streaming. It will cost you about $400 when it arrives in July 2011, which is right around the corner. Are you interested in this one?

PSN may be suffering an outage, but Sony still needs to keep the empire rolling along as best they can. So Sony has just introduced a new line of PlayStation Portable branded earphones. They come in six different colors (black, white, silver, red, blue and pink) and will deliver high resolution sound. They claim that it has powerful bass and clear treble output.

These are perfect for the PlayStation Portable and should work fine with your other devices that have a 3.5mm audio jack. These Sony PSP earphones arrive this summer in Japan for $27 (2,200 Yen). Hopefully we get them soon after. By then PSN should be back up. We hope.
