Samsung 950 Series 3D LED Display

Samsung will be showing off the 950 Series 3D LED display at CES 2011. This new 3D LED display comes with a stunning and unique asymmetric design. We don’t have much info on specs right now, but we do know that it has an LED-backlit LCD and its thought to have built-in Wi-Fi with Internet-Apps support and a touch-screen remote that can show live TV via Wi-Fi together with Full-HD at 240Hz.

It also features a unique metallic stand and the company’s Touch of Color technology. We will let you know more details when we know.

Gigabyte launches Atom N550-based M1005, Q2005 Netbooks

Gigabyte has just added some new Netbooks to its lineup, the Gigabyte Q2005 and the Gigabyte M1005. Both feature an Intel Atom Dual Core Processor N550(1.50GHz), run either Windows 7 Starter or Home Premium and sport 10.1 inch 1024×600 LED backlit displays.

Other features include up to 2GB of DDR2 ram and a 1.3 mega pixel web camera on the M1005 or a 0.3 mega pixel on the Q2005. Each has 3 USB ports, D-Sub, RJ45, Mic-in, Earphone-out and a 4-in-1 card reader supporting SD/MMC/MS/MS Pro.

LG launching Mobile 3D TV at CES 2011

Yesterday we heard about the new 72 inch LED 3D TV from LG, and now we learn that LG also has some smaller 3D TVs planned. Much smaller. The company will be launching a mobile 3D TV.

The company will reveal this new 3D mobile TV at CES 2011. The device will be powered by an LG2161R MDTV chip with NRT (non Real Time) technology and be able to receive 3D TV signals when you are traveling at speeds of up to 200 km/h. So feel free to watch a lot of content in your fast car. Preferably while someone else is driving.

LG bringing world’s largest LED-backlit 3D LCD HDTV to CES

LG has just announced that it will be bringing the world’s largest LED-backlit 3D LCD HDTV to CES 2011 next week. The LZ9700 handles both 2D and 3D content and also offers TruMotion 400Hz. It also comes with the company’s Smart TV functions, giving you access to TV apps, games, language classes, and more.

There’s no mention of price just yet, but it will be available in early 2011 to be large and in charge in your living room.

Panasonic VIERA TH-L42G3 records HD shows to SDXC memory card

The Panasonic VIERA TH L42G3 is a 42-inch HDTV with an IPS LED-backlit full HD display and an SDXC memory card reader. This allows you to record HD television shows directly to the card for later playback. SDXC cards support up to 64 GB in capacity and will give you 5 hours of full HD content.

But that’s not all. You can also connect an external hard drive into the USB port to record more content. Of course what you record can only be viewed on the VIERA set, which is sad. You also get an Ethernet port, two HDMI ports, VIERA LINK, and DLNA support.

Dell Inspiron One 2310 AI45T-R All-In-One Desktop

Dell has released a new all-in-one desktop PC called the Inspiron One 2310 AI45T-R. This machine will save you a bunch of room on your desk and features a 23-inch 1920 x 1080 LED-backlit display along with a 2.4GHz Intel Core i3-370M processor.

Other features include Intel graphics HD, 4GB DDR3 RAM, a 500GB hard drive, a 2.0-megapixel webcam, a DVD burner, a TV tuner, WiFi, an HDMI port and it come pre-loaded with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. Nothing yet on price.

Toshiba launches NB520 and NB500 netbooks

Toshiba is packing stereo Harman Kardon speakers with two watts each in their latest laptop, along with an Atom N550 processor, 2GB of DDR3 memory, a 250GB HDD, 10 hours of battery life, and a 10.1-inch 1024 x 600 LED-backlit display. Finally a laptop that will wake the dead.

But if you want something quieter, there’s also the NB500, which has the same specs but without the sound system and stepping down to an Atom N455, while it rocks a lower price. Both ship in the first quarter of 2011.

ViewSonic outs new All-In-One Desktop PC

ViewSonic has just announced a new all-in-one desktop PC dubbed the VPC220T. Like all AIO’s it will save you some desk space and offers a 21.5-inch 1920 x 1080 LED-backlit multi-touch display, a 3.06GHz Intel Pentium E6600 processor, and an NVIDIA GeForce 310M graphics card with 512MB of VRAM.

Other features include 4GB DDR3 RAM, a 320GB hard drive, 1.3-megapixel webcam, a DVD writer, a 4-in-1 card reader, WiFi, an HDMI port, two 3W speakers and it comes pre-loaded with Windows 7 Professional.

ViewSonic announces Eco-friendly VG36-LED Series displays

ViewSonic’s latest LCD monitor range, the VG36-LED Series is all about going green. The series includes the 22-inch VG2236wm-LED and the 24-inch VG2436wm-LED displays, which both have LED-backlit panels, a native 1920 x 1080 resolution display, VGA/DVI connectivity, 20,000,000:1 contrast ratio and built-in speakers.

Of course there are also Energy Star and EPEAT Gold certifications and these will feature energy savings of up to 50 percent. Both displays are available now for $229 and $259 respectively.

BenQ GL2430HM Full HD Monitor

BenQ has unveiled another Full HD monitor in the form of the GL2430HM. It uses BenQ’s Senseye 3 Human Vision Technology for enhancing the color, clarity and contrast of whatever video content you are watching.

This 24-inch LED-backlit monitor delivers 1920 x 1080 Full HD resolution, a 1,000:1 contrast ratio, 250 cd/m2 brightness and a 5ms response time. As far as connectivity ports, it offers DVI-D, D-Sub and HDMI.

Dell Inspiron 15R Alloy Edition Notebook

Dell has unveiled the Inspiron 15R Alloy Edition. It is named for the silver wave pattern on the lid that looks like metal. The machine features a 15.6-inch screen with a resolution of 1366 x 768 and it is LED backlit.

It comes with a bunch of processor options for Core i3, i5, and i7 CPUs and can be fitted with up to 8GB of RAM with Core i3 and i5 machines at 1066MHz and Core i7 machines getting 1333MHz RAM. Standard
graphics are Intel HD and the machine has an ATI HD 5650 GPU as an option with 1GB of RAM. Storage goes up to 750GB with 5400rpm and 7200rpm versions available.

Gateway outs a trio of new LED-backlit monitors

Gateway is introducing three brand spanking new LED-backlit monitors in the 21.5-inch FHX2152L, 23-inch FHD2303L and 24-inch FHX2402L. These widescreen monitors deliver 1920 x 1080 Full HD resolution, 12,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, 250 cd/m2 brightness and 2ms (on the FHX models) or 5ms (FHD models) response time.

As far as connectivity ports, they offer D-Sub, DVI as well as HDMI (23-inch and 24-inch models). The FHX2152L, FHD2303L and FHX2402L will begin shipping later this month for $189.99, $249.99 and $249.99, in order of mention.

Acer AOD255 netbook coming this month

Acer has been in the netbook business for years now. Sales of netbooks are slumping as tablets and full notebooks are doing better now that the worst of the economic slump is behinds us. Acer has announced the addition of a new netbook to its line.

The new machine is called the Aspire One AOD255. Acer will offer the machine with either an Atom N450 single-core CPU or a N550 dual-core CPU inside. The machines will both support DDR3 and get 1GB of memory standard. Storage for the machine is to a 250GB HDD.

Hercules unveils new DJ Console 4-Mx

Hercules has unveiled a new tool for the pro DJs out there that is called the DJ Console 4-Mx. The thing is crammed full of features and has a surprisingly reasonable price considering it is pro level DJ hardware. The device has dual jog wheels that are 4.7-inches in diameter and three fourths of an inch tall.

The 4-Mk can be used in both 2-deck and 4-deck modes. When in 2-deck mode the console has 89 controls and when in 4-deck mode the console has 150 controls. The job wheels also have detection sensor that detect the weight of a hand.
