Posted in News by Reuben Drake on August 1st, 2011

Fans of the Diablo franchise from Blizzard have been waiting for Diablo III. Now some details on the game surfaced and gamers are not happy about them. For one thing the game will require a constant internet connection and there is no offline mode.

Yep, you can only play online. But it gets worse. Blizzard has specifically disallowed game mods and bots. This is one of the main reasons people play the game. The final nail in the coffin is that all of the items in the online auction houses will be sold for real world money. No farming for gold and making loot by killing enemies. It’s like this title has just committed suicide. Anyone

This Spy Camera Looks Like A Sony Alarm Clock and Radio

Posted in Spy Gear by Conner Flynn on July 21st, 2011

This spy camera is scary because it looks just like a Sony alarm clock. In fact, I have the Sony model that it is imitating in my home. I hope no one has been spying. This hidden camera records 720p HD videos in MPEG4 format and stores them on an SD card (16GB provided).

It will give you a time and date stamp and is motion activated. I don’t think that anyone would even suspect it was more than a clock, especially when it functions as a regular alarm clock/radio when it isn’t spying. It will cost you $329.89.

Samsung distances itself from Anymode Smart Case

Posted in Samsung by Reuben Drake on July 19th, 2011

Samsung has issued an unusual statement in response to the launch of a third-party iPad Smart Cover made for its Galaxy Tab 10.1. In the statement Samsung has denied any involvement with Anymode stating that the company used its branding without its permission, and they want to make sure that everyone knows that they distance themselves from the imitation of what is a patented Apple design.

Samsung doesn’t need to be fighting a war on another front since they are currently in the middle of a serious ITC patent infringement dispute with Apple already.

Android trash can robot

Posted in Android by Conner Flynn on July 17th, 2011

We aren’t sure what it is about the Android robot, but he’s just so adorable. Even as a trash can. You could probably build your own if you have a spare trash can. This one was made by a Taiwanese guy who loves Android.

It has LED eyes, movable “arms” and “legs” and you can control it with a remote, and rotate the joystick to spin it 360 degrees. Hopefully we won’t see an army of these on our streets anytime soon.
