Here’s an unusual phone design. It has curves in all the wrong places. It has a fully curved display, which is kind of cool, but not very practical. The Energy 888D is unusual for sure.

We don’t know very much about it, but whats to know? It has curves and a pink finish. That should be enough incentive to stay away. The clip on the back will make sure that it is always with you, since it’s not pocket-friendly.

Final Fantasy XIII PlayStation 3Final Fantasy fans will want to save up their money for this one. At the Tokyo Game Show press conference today, Final Fantasy XIII producer Yoshinori Kitase unveiled the special FFXIII-themed limited edition PlayStation 3.

As you can see, the FFXIII PS3 is pink on white, with a “Lightning” theme along with FFXIII branding. Under the hood, it will be a 250GB model. If you don’t mind the pink, then consider this a Christmas present to yourself. It’ll be available on December 17 in Japan.

A Disney branded Netpal netbook for kids, available in “Princess Pink” or “Magic Blue” colors. (the latter even has tiny Mickey Mouse icons).

Each netbook features a kid-friendly Disney interface and built-in parental controls, as well as some customizable themes based on Mickey Mouse, Toy Story, Wall-E, and other Disney stuff they need to pimp out.

Microsoft "Pink" specs leakHere’s some more Zune/Windows Mobile rumors. According to Mary Jo Foley at ZDNet she has specs for Windows Mobile 7 Chassis 1, the heart of that rumored “Pink” smartphone. Here’s the rundown.

Chassis 1 phones will all have 3.5-inch or larger multitouch displays with ARM v6+ processors and OpenGL ES 2.0-compatible graphics hardware, 256MB or more of RAM and 1GB or more of storage, as well as at least a 3 megapixel camera, GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth, compass, and accelerometer. And a 3.5mm headphone jack is required. Get this. NVIDIA’s Tegra platform is specifically listed as meeting the core CPU requirements, as well as TI’s OMAP 3 platform and “Qualcomm 8k,”.

8GB Sandisk Sansa Clip MP3 playerSanDisk is releasing the latest upgrade the Sansa Clip MP3 player this week, doubling its capacity to 8GB. Aside from the storage change the features are staying pretty much the same, but this is an MP3 player you would definitely want to take a look at.

The Sansa Clip is small, weighing just 0.9 ounces and has a clip to hook onto clothing or whatever similar to the tiny iPod Shuffle. Even though it’s slightly larger (by less than a half an ounce), it really does has some advantages over the shuffle for not much more money. For starts the Clip of course now has an 8GB capacity and is retailing for just under $100 compared to $70 for the 2GB shuffle which is 4 times the storage for $30 more.

It features a 1.5″ OLED display.(It doesn’t do video)It also sports touch scrolling, a unique GUI, and built-in flash memory. You can get it in 2GB and 4GB sizes, which will retail for $55 and $75 and in pink, yellow and blue flavors. It’s a Korea only product.

It used to be that we popped a few quarters in the machine and shot them all to hell. These days it’s all about buying merchandise that bears the likeness of the 8-bit invaders. Some of which is actually practical.

Olympus FE-Series digital camera updates go for entry level photographers

It truly is digital camera craziness this week with all of these new shooters flooding the market in time for the holidays. Another product announcement this week from Olympus comes in the form of two new FE-Series models – the FE-360 and FE-370, priced around $150 and $200, respectively.

The FE-360 and FE-370, both available now, are targeted towards entry-level shooters. Both offer eight-megapixels, image stabilization, face detection, shot previews and in-camera help guides, among other features. You can get full details after the jump.

New Olympus cameras let you preview shot effects

Olympus Stylus 1020Olympus this week unveiled a trio of new Stylus compact digital cameras which it says offer dual image stabilization, 2.7-inch LCDs and a feature called “Perfect Shot Preview.” These models are the Stylus 840, Stylus 1010 and Stylus 1020 and pricing will range between about $250 and $350.

Perfect Shot Preview, as described by Olympus, “enables users to preview and select various photographic effects on a live, multi-window screen before snapping the shot.” The Stylus 1010 and 1020 will both offer 10-megapixels of shooting ability, with the Stylus 840 chiming in at 8-megapixels.

Expect all three Stylus digital cameras in stores by March. You can get the full details after the jump.

Sony gets colorful with W-series Cyber-shots

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W170Among other cameras Sony released this week it was showing off a new line of colorful W-series Cyber-shots for the consumer crowd. The W-series will price between about $200 and $300.

Models of the W-series will include the 10.1-megapixel DSC-W170 and 8.1-megapixel DSC-W150, both with Carl Zeiss 5x optical zoom lenses, and the 8.1-megapixel DSC-W130 models and 7.2-megapixel DSC-W120 units with 4x optical zoom and 2.5 inch LCD screens.

Colors on these models will range from pink to blue to gold and red. Availability is slated for between now and April, again depending upon the model. Check out the full Sony press release after the jump for all the details.
