Acer reveals Aspire 5755 multimedia laptop

Acer’s latest laptop, the Aspire 5755, is for multimedia lovers who are on the go. It features Intel Core chips (with the i7-2820QM available in the premium configurations), and Nvidia GeForce GT 540M graphics with Nvidia’s Optimus tech.

Other features include 8GB of DDR3 memory, as much as 1TB of storage, and a 15.6 inch Acer CineCrystal LED-backlit TFT LCD screen with a maximum resolution of 1366×768. There’s also built Intel Wireless Display (WiDi) tech and an HDMI-output option.

Acer announces Aspire One Happy 2 netbook

Acer has announced the Acer Aspire Happy 2, which runs on a dual-core Atom N570 CPU, a 10.1-inch display, 250GB hard drive, WiFi radio, and 1GB of RAM. As you can see they come in pastel colors, making us wonder why they didn’t arrive at Easter.

The colors are “Banana Cream,” “Blueberry Shake,” “Strawberry Yogurt,” and “Papaya Milk”. They are available now for $269.99.

Acer unveils Aspire Ethos laptops in the US and Canada

Acer’s new Aspire Ethos 8951G and 5951G laptops were already available for £999 in the UK and now they can be had in North America. The AS8951G and AS5951G feature 18.4-inch and 15.6-inch HD displays and USB 3.0 ports, along with Core i5 and Core i7 Sandy Bridge silicon and GeForce GT 555M graphics.

They also pack in 5.1 channel surround sound. The AS5951G and AS8951G are $1,400 and $1,600, respectively. Prices start at $1,200 and $1,500 CAD in Canada.

Acer Revo RL100 Media Center Now Available In The U.S.

Acer has announced that the Acer Revo RL100 media center is now available in the United States. The device connects directly to your TV via an HDMI port and will integrate with your high-definition 5.1 channel surround sound system.

Other features include a 1.3GHz AMD Athlon II K325 processor, 750GB SATA hard drive, 4GB DDR3 SDRAM, Dolby Home Theater v3 and the next generation nVidia ION discrete graphics with support for 1080p/720p HD video playback and Web HD Flash acceleration. It comes with a dual-mode wireless touchpad/keyboard and is available for $499.99.

Acer Aspire Ethos laptops with detachable touchpads

Acer has announced two Aspire Ethos laptops for the multimedia enthusiast and they include detachable touchpads that can also act as remotes. The Aspire Ethos series laptops will be available later this month starting at £999, with two different sizes to choose from. There’s the standard 15.6in model and a 18.4in version.

The screens are Cinecrystal LED backlit units that are full HD 1920×1080 resolution on the 18.4in model and 1366×768 on the smaller 15.6in model. They come pre-loaded with Windows 7 64-bit versions of either Home Premium or Ultimate.

Acer announces new Aspire TimelineX Series laptops, starting at $599

Acer has refreshed their Aspire TimelineX notebooks with a redesign and Sandy Bridge processors too. The 13.1-inch 3830T, 14-inch 4830T, and 15.6-inch 5830T all sport a two-tone aluminum design, USB 3.0, a choice of Core i3 and Core i5 CPUs, and Acer’s clear.fi software for sharing media among DLNA devices.

The 14- and 15.6-inch versions feature onboard optical drives and number pads, and on some models, you can choose a discrete NVIDIA GeForce GT520M or GT540M card. The screen resolution is 1366 x 768 on all of these. The 3830T, 4830T, and 5830T are available now, starting at $799, $699, and $599.

Acer Aspire Z5763 all-in-one with 3D screen, gesture control

The Acer Aspire Z5763 is ready to pump out stereoscopic 3D images to NVIDIA 3D Vision specs, and it also uses its 2 megapixel webcam for a Kinect-like gesture recognition system that Acer calls “AirControl.” So, even though it looks like your typical All-in-one, it is clearly not. Soon you’ll be navigating through movie lists with simple gestures.

It features a 23-inch, 120Hz LCD screen that displays content at 1080p, Intel’s latest Sandy Bridge processors, NVIDIA GeForce GT 440 or 435M graphics, a Blu-ray drive, up to 2TB of storage and 16GB of DDR3 memory. It also has built-in stereo speakers with virtual surround sound to go with your 3D, and an optional TV tuner.

Acer Aspire One 722 notebook to pack AMD C-50 chip

Acer updated their lineup with two new offerings. The Acer Aspire One 522 is a 10 inch netbook featuring a new AMD C-50 processor. The Aspire One 722 boasts a larger display and the same processor.

The Acer Aspire One 722 will have an 11.6 inch, 1366 x 768 pixel display and a 1 GHz AMD C-50 dual core processor with Radeon HD 6250 graphics. Other features include stereo speakers and a higher capacity battery than the Aspire One 522, but aside from those differences, it is basically just a larger version of the same laptop.

Acer Aspire Z5761 all-in-one coming in May

Acer has a sleek new all-in-one called the Aspire Z5761. It features a 23-inch Full HD display, your choice of Sandy Bridge Core i5-2400s, Core i5-2500s, or Core i7-2600s CPUs, up to a 1.5TB SATA II HDD, a Blu-ray or SuperMulti drive, NVIDIA GeForce GT440, GT435M, or GT420 graphics, and a hybrid TV-tuner card.

Other features include 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1, and eight USB 2.0 ports. It also comes preloaded with Clear.fi tech, so you can have access to multimedia content on other Acer devices. Prices start at £799 ($1305), and it arrives in May.

Acer Aspire AS8950G Notebook

Acer has announced the Aspire AS8950G-9839, which packs in some serious performance with a serious pricetag. The notebook starts at $1599.99 and boasts the new Intel Core i7-2630QM processor with Turbo Boost 2.0, ATI Mobility Radeon 6850 GPU with 2GB of dedicated video memory, 8GB of DDR3 dual-channel memory (upgradeable to 16GB).

Other features include an 18.4-inch edge-to-edge glass LED back-lit display with 1080p HD, and a Dolby optimized Acer CineSurround sound system with five built-in speakers and a dedicated subwoofer. If you have the money, you won’t have long to wait. The AS8950G-9839 will be available next week.

Acer announces Aspire Predator AG3600 gaming rig

Acer has announced its latest Predator Series gaming rig, the AG3600. This beast looks great. Some of the specs include a 2nd generation Intel Core i5 2300 CPU, with Intel’s H67 chipset and Turbo Boost 2.0, discrete NVIDIA GeForece GT 420 graphics, 8GB of DDR3 SDRAM, and a 1.5TB SATA hard drive.

Aside from that it also packs in a multicard reader, three PCI Express x1 slots, 10 USB 2.0 ports, three audio ins, mini HDMI, DVI and a D-SUB port. And you can get it fast since the Predator AG3600 is available now for around $899.

Acer announces Aspire 5750, 5750G, and 7750G laptops

Acer has announced several new laptops, including the new Aspire 5750, 5750G and 7750G. The trio all feature Intel’s 2nd gen Core i7 2630QM CPUs. The Aspire 5750 and 7750 have up to 6GB of memory, while the 5750 is upgradeable to 8GB using two 4GB modules. The 7750G has a hard drive capacity of up to 750GB, while the 5750 has up to a 640GB HDD.

The 5750G comes with NVIDIA’s new GeForece GT 540M graphics, while the 7750G comes with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 6550 or 6650 graphics standard. All three models also boast LED, backlit displays, with the Aspire 5750 and 5750G measuring 15.6-inches, while the 7750G is a 17.3-incher with a resolution of 1600 x 900.

Acer Aspire One 721 gets AMD Neo K145 processor upgrade

The Acer Aspire One 721 notebook has just received a processor upgrade, with the AMD Neo K145 chip. The AMD Neo K145 processor has a 12W total power draw and 1MB of L2 cache, maxing out at 1.8GHz clock speed. That should give you some fast performance.

Aside from the processor upgrade, other specifications of the Acer Aspire 721 are the same, including an 11.6-inch, 1366 x 768 resolution display, 2GB of DDR3 memory, ATI Radeon HD 4225 graphics, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, a 6 cell battery, and a 1.3-megapixel camera.

Behold the Jolicloud Jolibook. The 10.1-inch netbook is finally showing off in a set of official press shots. Like in the other images we’ve seen, the lid has a cartoon scene.

The chiclet style keyboard resembles recent Acer Aspire One systems and it’s an all plastic build, which should mean a low starting price. All in all it looks like an Acer except for that lid. What do you think?

Acer Aspire One Happy netbook gets Android, pastel colors

Acer has officially unveiled a new Aspire One netbook, the Happy. This dual-boot computer uses both Windows 7 and Android and has a pastel color palette that includes blue, green, pink and purple. The 10.1-inch, 1024×600 display is complemented by a 1.66GHz Intel Atom with 1GB of RAM.

A dual-core 1.5GHz Atom is optional, as well as 2GB of RAM with that CPU only. A 160GB hard drive is standard, and a 250GB unit is optional. There’s also a six-cell battery …
