Philips has something new for music lovers in the Harmony 8000 series DVD component HiFi system. The system comes with new ClariSound speakers, which deliver the best balance between natural sound, detailed precision and bass tightness.

The Philips Harmony 8000 is constructed using pure aluminum for the casing, real wood for the speaker boxes and glass fiber woofers, giving it a unique design. The system features a 2 x 80W RMS Class-D digital amplifier, a CD player, a DVD player with an HDMI output, 1080p up-scaling and a USB 2.0 port.

Lego fanatics can never get enough colored bricks or mini Lego people, so they will love this toy. The Classic LEGO Minifigure is now available as a USB flash drive. How awesome is that? This is a Lego Mini-fig with a 2GB USB flash memory drive inside.

You can store all of those pictures of your Lego creations, MP3s, games, documents and whatever. It will also attach to your keychain, so you won’t lose it. The official LEGO USB flash drive is compatible with Mac and PC as well as every geek it comes into contact with.

We’ve seen the NES modded into many different things and we’ve seen even seen NES cartridges used as cases for external hard drives, but this mod is ridiculous and awesome at the same time. Ed Lewis created this NES cartridge flash drive with a NES console USB port. That’s right, there’s only one USB connector inside that console.

To make one yourself, all you need to do is open up the cartridge, take out the board and make a gap for a flash drive, then glue it inside. Then open up the console, cut a hole in the middle of the cartridge connector for the flash drive to slide in, and another hole at the back of the console for a USB cable.

The Genius SlimStar 8000 keyboard and mouse is now available for purchase in the US. The SlimStar 8000 keyboard and mouse set doesn’t use any wires and that means you’ll be able to use these peripherals on your desk or even when you’re across the room.

And that means that you can use the SlimStar 8000 keyboard and mouse for your Home Theater PC. The keyboard even has small holes to help drain liquid just in case you spill your drink. It requires 3 AAA batteries (which are included), features a USB port, and will work with Windows XP, Vista or 7.

We’ve seen our share of unique watches. We thought we had seen it all in fact, but nope, there was at least one more. Artist Olivier Demange created this timepiece concept called Konect, which has a wide range of features and looks futuristic.

It sports a Bluetooth radio that acts as a receiver, controls for music playback, a button to answer and end calls, a removable USB stick, and yes it also tells the time. We just aren’t sure how yet. Still, it looks awesome and we hope to be wearing one soon.

Is your home theater still using the old mouse and keyboard combo? Well Veho has announced the “Mimi wifi Keyboard & Air Mouse with game controller.” It looks like an Xbox 360 gamepad controller, but this one has everything you want in an all-in-one computer-controller.

It features a motion sensor to control the mouse, separate buttons for left and right clicking and a range of about 33 feet. It’s compatible with both Windows and Mac via a USB dongle, but the customizable buttons will only work on a Microsoft OS machine. It will cost you about 150 dollars (or £90).

Olivetti was originally known for typewriters, but with typewriters not exactly flying off the shelves, they’ve turned to manufacturing tablets instead. Olivetti has announced the release of the OliPad, and are calling it Italy’s first tablet.

The OliPad features a 10-inch screen, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth connectivity, NVIDIA Tegra 2, Android 2.2.2, and a 1024 x 600 display. There are also USB and HDMI ports and a 1.3 megapixel camera. Launching at the same time is the Application Warehouse, “a virtual storehouse of configurable and customizable software applications designed by Olivetti specifically for business and government.”

Razer and Bioware have teamed up to release the Dragon Age II mouse and keyboard. We told you about the mouse the other day. The Dragon Age II Razer BlackWidow Ultimate keyboard features full mechanical keys with 50g of actuation force, individually blood-red backlit keys with 5 levels of lighting, and 1000Hz Ultra-polling with a 1ms response time.

It also features programmable keys with on-the-fly macro recording, gaming mode option for deactivation of the Windows key, 10 customizable software profiles with on-the-fly switching, 5 additional macro keys, audio-out/ mic-in jacks and USB-passthrough. The Dragon Age II Razer DeathAdder mouse will be released in April 2011 for $69.99, while the Dragon Age II Razer BlackWidow Ultimate keyboard is available for pre-order for $139.99.

Shopping for a USB stick? Might as well just go to a laundromat or a dry cleaners. There has apparently been a 400 per cent increase in the number of USB sticks being left behind in clothes to be dry cleaned. The news comes from a survey taken by more than 500 dry cleaners and laundrettes. About 17,000 USB sticks were left in 2010, that’s four times the number found in 2009.

It’s an epidemic that shows no signs of stopping. Sometimes it is in your shirt, sometimes in your pants, but it always ends up in the wash. Please do your part and save a USB stick today.

Archos’ new portable device is the ARNOVA, a small web radio and TV with Wi-Fi capabilities. It offers access to 12,000 internet radio stations, and 1500 web TV channels and podcasts. It also allows users to stream media content directly to the device through its internal memory or through an SD card.

There’s also an alarm clock that can wake you up to your favorite music station, web TV channel or any music from its internal or external storage sources. It has a USB 2.0 port in back for direct connection to your PC, a 3.5-inch color display with 320 x 240 resolution and it supports a bunch of video/audio formats including AVI, MPEG-4, FLV, MP3, WMA, WAV, AAC and FLAC.

We’ve all had to switch USB ports because charging your phone through your computer isn’t fast enough, but you need to connect your phone to your PC to transfer data. It’s a pain. Thankfully, Lenovo’s ThinkPad 65W AC Adapter with USB Hub is a good solution.

Some people still have a love affair with vinyl. The sound of a needle over spinning vinyl is just warm and alive. Plus the album art awesome. Microsoft has released the Express Mouse. It’s glossy white, egg-shaped and has a unique off-center USB cable to reduce resistance when the mouse is used on the right-hand side. As far as a mouse goes, they look pretty stylish.

The three-button-plus-scroll design comes in six bright colors and is one of the cheapest mice around that uses Microsoft’s blue laser to improve tracking. The Microsoft Express Mouse will be released in April 2011 for $19.99. Only gray and red versions will ship at first and should be followed by green, pink, and two shades of blue for a colorful June.
