Lexar FireFly jumps to 16GB storage size |

Lexar has gone and increased the storage capacity of its popular, and small, FireFly USB flash drive. You can now pick up a 16GB version for around $100.
The 16GB FireFly, like other FireFlies from Lexar, works both with PCs and Macs and is available in a red color. It is outfitted with a keychain hole for portability and features a protective cap and blue LED tail that blinks during data transfers. It also comes pre-loaded with a free 30-day trial of Dmailer V7 software, which enables you to backup and synchronize files, including Microsoft Outlook …

The manufacturer claims that this $45 Star Wars USB Lightsabre is a lamp that connects to the USB port to charge up its battery and glows in the dark with a blue light, is “a lamp”. At 33 x 6cm, that’s not much of a lamp. It’s a toy, plain and simple. Jedis are shrunk down to tiny proportions and put into a ring for an all out death match, where they use these babies to slash each other to bits. I’m not entirely sold on the fact that such a small lightsaber can be fun for my desk, but since it glows and all, it must be true.
Sony is betting that there are people out there who really want to be a DJ. I’m not into mixing songs together and making mixed tapes, but I am sure there are many people out there who are into that. If you are such person and you have been looking for an easy way to play DJ — the Sony XROSS FADE is your ticket.
There’s no denying that playing the Nintendo Wii is very fun with its unique control method. The one thing I don’t like playing on the Wii is driving games. I don’t care for steering the vehicle with the Wii remote turned sideways. I have wished for a real steering wheel on more than one occasion and Logitech has finally made my wish come true.
USB hubs being the neccessity they are, it’s always nice to see one that looks like it could class up the joint. And this one really is a nice bit of architecture. They merged a Newton’s Cradle with a USB hub. The Boynq Swing gracefully suspends four USB cables underneath an arch. It just sits and waits and looks classy.
At its Leipzig Games Convention press conference today, Sony unveiled a new wireless keypad peripheral that attaches to the top of your PlayStation 3 controller. It snaps into the mini-USB port and can be paired with phones and other gadgets through Bluetooth. The keypad also has a “touchpad mode” for mouse input. No word on pricing yet, but the device will apparently be released in 8 different languages in November.
Many gadget makers are looking for unique ways to stand out while providing eco-friendly alternatives to plastic gadgets. As far as USB drives go, this one manages to be both environmentally friendly and able to stand out from the crowd. As a bonus it will hold your data.
Maybe you have a nerdy grandmother who loves gadgets. This would be the perfect gift from a loving grandson. Or perhaps your grandmother is addicted to online games and complains of a chill between kills. Again, this is the perfect gift. Could also be that you rarely pay attention to your grandmother and are using the computer area as a sort of rest home, hooking her up to all kinds of USB gadgets.

There really isn’t a lot of info about this camera, but obviously it stands out from the pack by offering to balance the light against the dark side of the force in one handy camera. It will likely get you in your zen place as you do the whole tourist thing. One half houses the lens and LCD screen, the other apparently holds the flash memory and a USB port.
For most of us a mouse pad is just a thing piece of material that we roll our mouse along. That’s really all a mouse pad is good for. But it becomes a lot more useful when you add a usb hub and a mic. Which is exactly what Zonet has done with the The Zone ZUP8020 Multifunctional Mouse Pad.
