Iomega has added a few models to its eGo line of portable hard drives. The 250GB and 500GB versions will retail for $85 and $135. Each of these new Iomega eGo drives will be powered by a single USB port and comes in red, silver, blue and black colors.

Elgato has introduced its latest Mac peripheral, the Video Capture which will allow you to record analog video from VCRs or other sources to a digital format. The USB stick will be able to handle RCA, S-video and SCART footage, though SCART will require an adapter.

Using Elgato’s proprietary software, you can convert it to H.264 or MPEG-4 for export to iTunes or editing through iMovie and such. You can choose from 4:3 or 16:9 widescreen. It’s smart enough that it knows the difference between international video standards like NTSC and PAL.

The Logitech G19 is the latest gaming keyboard from Logitech and the follow up to the successful G15. Whereas the G15 had a orange backlit LCD with nothing but monochrome content, the G19 gets a full-blown color LCD for watching video and showing game stats. The creator attached a Lego Technic Motor to a Jensen #75 steam engine to make this crude generator. Then he built a 5V regulator circuit and soldered in a female USB connection to power any USB device. The end result is a steam powered iPod charger. What does this mean? This guy will be chilling with tunes while you are fending off zombies who want some brain food.

I think that most of us who often forget to plug our mobile phones in to charge could remember to sit the phone on a pad to charge if that was all we needed to do. A company called WildCharge has a system that can make that a reality.

The company announced that it now has a universal wire free mobile charge adapter kits available. Kits to fit mini-USB, Nokia, and Sony Ericsson phones are available. The universal chargers plug into the charge ports on the compatible devices and then the devices can be placed on the charge pad to be powered.
