Nokia C6-01 to run Symbian^3? |
The Nokia C6-01 first showed up back in July, and aside from the 8-megapixel camera, slide-out QWERTY keyboard, 360 x 640 pixel touchscreen display, Wi-Fi, GPS, and Ovi Maps, it looks like it has another trick.
It might run Symbian^3. A Bulgarian online retailer uploaded some photos of the C6-01 which showed off the Symbian^3 operating system. Now mysteriously, the photos have changed to show Symbian^1, so we aren’t sure exactly what is going on. Hopefully we will learn more soon.






Check out the LG eXpo, a slider with a pico projector inside. This full QWERTY slider is also packing a 1GHz CPU, a 3.2-inch touchscreen, 5 megapixel camera, a microSD slot, and the removable Texas Instruments projector.
There had been some rumors about the Samsung Lucello, a dual slider with a messaging focus, that was set to hit Sprint soon. Well, this device now has an official name and a release date. It’s called the Samsung M550 Exclaim and it’s set to release on Sprint on June 7th.
Motorola’s Calgary really looks awesome and makes you take notice. And it’s on Verizon. According to BGR, the QWERTY slider will be focused on social networking much like the new Sidekick. The only thing we’re unsure about is that flat keyboard. Will it be finger friendly or not?
The LG GD900 has just been unveiled, and the transparent keypad phone is a real looker. It’s definitely a first. The phone is just 13mm thick and features a slide out keypad that’s see through, knocking the iPhone dead as far as cool looks. It may be crystal clear, but the LG GD900 keypad will still glow if you are in the dark.

Verizon Wireless is out today with three new innovative LG phones which should do some fun shaking up of the cellular provider’s line up when they debut in the next month or so. They are the LG Dare, LG Decoy (pictured) and LG Chocolate 3.
Alltel Wireless has scored an exclusive slider phone with a touchscreen interface from LG and plans to launch it March 13. The phone is called the LG Glimmer and it will price at around $250 after rebate and two-year contract.
Verizon Wireless and LG Mobile Phones are out today with word of a new Chocolate by LG phone color for all you fashion trend setters. This time around the color is dubbed “Blue Ice” and it is priced at around $80 and contract and rebate.
Verizon went ahead and unleashed four new phones all at once targeted at the fall shopping season trying to get a share of AT&T’s iPhone dollars. The new lineup includes the Voyager and Venus from LG along with the narrow Samsung Juke and the Blackberry Pearl sporting EV-DO.
