Chip Tablet PC concept is sexy

Posted in Concepts by Conner Flynn on August 4th, 2010

The Chip concept computer looks pretty hot. Sort of a desktop computer, notebook, and a tablet computer all together. This concept design has a removable display that can be converted into a tablet, while the hinged keyboard can be accessed when the display is docked.

It goes by the name“the Chip”. It’s a great design. Functional and futuristic. Women wouldn’t complain about ugly PCs at all if they all looked like this one.

Samsung Wave shipping in the US, $499 unlocked

Posted in Samsung by Conner Flynn on July 4th, 2010

Holy crap. What’s with that model’s eyes? She looks like she is about to sprout vampire teeth and drink my blood. Probably without even having hot vampire sex with me. Would you buy a phone from her? It’s creepy. It’s like I’m being threatened to buy or else her and her husband, the Joker will have their way with me while Batman watches.

Anyway, the Samsung Wave has already hit the UK last month, but folks in the US have yet to get their hands on it. Now Amazon is offering the smartphone to US customers for $440 without a contract commitment.

LG Mini GD880 Phone with 16:9 Aspect Ratio

Posted in LG by Conner Flynn on February 9th, 2010

Who’s this sexy beast? The LG Mini GD880, which runs LG’s S-Class OS, and not Android for some reason. Didn’t they get the memo, that everyone is going Android? I guess peer pressure doesn’t always work. Still this phone has some nice specs, like the 16:9 aspect ratio.

On a display of just 3.2-inches. We don’t know a lot about it, but we do know it has a 5.0-megapixel camera with face detection, Wi-Fi, and HSDPA 7.2Mbps connectivity.

Dell finally prices Adamo XPS

Posted in Dell by Shane McGlaun on October 19th, 2009

adamom1Dell has been teasing us for over a month now with shots of that mega thin and sexy Adamo XPS notebook computer. The thing little beast first dropped in a teaser image on 9-9-09 and since then Dell has offered up a few more teaser shots.

Today Dell finally offered the price and a lunch date for the machine. The Adamo XPS will be available on October 22, the day Windows 7 launches. The notebook will sell for $2,000. That is certainly not cheap, but honestly I wouldn’t have been surprised if the machine was $500 or more higher than that price.

Dell teases new Adamo 9.99mm concept design

Posted in Dell by Shane McGlaun on September 10th, 2009

delladamp999-sbWhen Dell first debuted its sexy Adamo notebook back in March, I really wanted one until I laid eyes on the price. I think Dell may have forgotten that we were in a recession and only cheap netbooks were selling well when they priced the machine at about $2,000.

Yesterday on 9-9-09, Dell decided to tease us a bit with a glimpse of the profile of the new Adamo claimed to be 9.99mm thick. A shot of the thin profile is all we get to see as Dell offered no more images and no hint of the specs of the machine.

Horizontal Game Boy Clone

Posted in Handheld Entertainmnet by Conner Flynn on June 21st, 2009

Horizontal Game Boy CloneSomebody loves the Gameboy so much that they took it from vertical to horizontal. It’s still fat, but a little more sexy. The knock-off supposedly has a sharper image than the original. Sadly, details are scant on this baby.

All we really know is that it showed up in a Photobucket set. If you’re nostalgic and like your GB wide rather than tall, you’ll have to scour the knock-off district of the internet in search of one. Then tell us where we can get one.

Is this what the next iPhone will look like?

Posted in iPhone by Conner Flynn on March 31st, 2009

Is this what the next iPhone will look like?In all likelihood, yes. A new iPhone is expected to hit this summer, but the big question is, just how much are they going to change the design? Will it be dramatic or subtle? This concept is most likely what we will see. A subtle change in look, while slimming it down to a sexier body. It already has you drooling doesn’t it?

After all, Apple isn’t about to make any radical changes on a device that obviously “ain’t broke”. They’ll change it just enough so that loyal fans will upgrade to replace their current models. It’s what Apple does best. Probably won’t up the specs a whole lot.

Panasonic DMC-GH1 availabile April 24 in Japan

Posted in Cameras by Conner Flynn on March 27th, 2009

Panasonic DMC-GH1 availabile April 24 in JapanThe GH1 is looking seriously sexy in red and will be available April 24 in Asia for about ¥150,000. That’s roughly $1,500, which is a bit steep. It may be cheaper when it hits our shores, but that’s still a disappointing price.

The GH1′s video capture mode (The only thing that’s really different from its predecessor, the G1) does things that many others, like Nikon and Canon can’t: the cinema-friendly 24fps framerate at 1080p (60fps at 720p), as well as continuous contrast-based autofocus with a silent-focusing lens.

Microsoft unveils blue-tinted Xbox 360, for developers only

Posted in Xbox 360 by Conner Flynn on March 25th, 2009

Microsoft unveils blue-tinted Xbox 360, for developers onlyWell hello hotness. What’s not to love about the new Xbox 360 dev kit unveiled at this week’s Game Developers Conference and due out in the summer? It’s ultra-sexy with its sleek black-and-blue tint finish and stylish etchings. It also features 1GB of RAM, twice what is found in the retail model.

Sadly, no matter how much drool pools up on your desktop, this hardware is only for those who make the games. But maybe they will take pity on us and offer one up to the masses soon.

Asus Eee 1002HA netbook review

Posted in Review by Shane McGlaun on March 20th, 2009

eee1002ha-coverAnyone who owns a TV, knows how to read, or listens to the radio knows that the global economy sucks today and will continue to be poor for most of 2009 and possibly into 2010 depending on whom you listen to. That means that all sorts of retailers are having a hard time with many of the largest electronics and computer firms announcing major losses and layoffs.

Despite the poor economy one sector of the computer market is continuing to grow impressively is the netbook market. The reason for the continued growth of the netbook market is simple — the machines are cheap. The average netbook sells for under $400 and offers portability and battery life that makes working on the road less of a chore for many users.
