Here’s an interesting kitchen accessory for those who spend a lot of time preparing meals. The Philips DC6210/37 flip-down kitchen clock radio lets you listen to your favorite music while you toil away over a hot stove.

Let’s face it, you have way too many iPod dock options. But this offering from Yamaha is stylish, powerful and should look good in your bedroom. Plus it will wake you gently. The TSX-140 desktop audio system promises to wake you gradually with the sound of your favorite music. It can fade in the music rather than simply jolting you awake.

It’s compatible with Apple’s iPod Touch and iPhone (3G/3GS/4), and it is also capable of playing MP3 and WMA files stored on a USB stick, as well as FM/AM radio programming.

Check out these funky looking clock radios from Logic3. The i-Station TimeCube clock radio is compatible with the iPhone and iPod touch and will recharge them when docked. The Kenwood AS-iP70 digital photo frame looks like a typical photo frame, but it has something extra. An iPod/iPhone dock. Even better, the dock can be put away when not in use. The device supports memory cards and USB flash drives too, and of course displays the pictures on it’s 7-inch WVGA (800 x 480) TFT display.

You also get an AM/FM radio with an alarm function, so it doubles as an alarm clock. The only bad part is that there’s no video playback. Look for the Kenwood AS-iP70 to be released in April, when it will cost you about 25,000 Yen (or $274).

Several of the new iPhone docking alarm clocks that I have seen hit the market lately share something in common. Many of them are now sporting dual charge docks. This is a good thing since many homes now have more than one iPod or iPhone vying for that charge dock. The iLuv iMM183 unveiled today is another dual docking alarm clock with some cool features.

Perhaps the most interesting of the features aside from the dual cocks is the integrated weather band radio also with an alert system that puts weather warnings on the front of the clock. The device uses SAME technology to receive local weather info.

And the iPhone/iPod dock of the day is the Pure Siesta iDock, a stereo DAB/ DAB+/ FM clock radio complete with an iPod and iPhone dock. Need to take a Siesta? There’s a dock for that.

And the world has another iPod dock. At least Yamaha’s new TSX-W80 iPod dock has a retro flair, sporting some actual knobs. It includes an AirWired cradle that will allow you to use your iPod or iPhone as a remote, a dock on the main unit to charge your iPod, and it’s available in three different colors that have matching LED displays.

Yamaha’s new TSX-70 is a simpler and less fancy affair with no AirWired controller, but you still get the standard iPod dock and the basic clock radio functions. Nothing on a release yet, but both should be available to knob turners in Japan soon.

I have seen several iPod/iPhone alarm clocks hit the streets over the last few weeks. A few of them are now sporting dual docks to keep more than one Apple device charged up. Sanyo has jumped into the iPod alarm clock action with a couple new devices today including the DMP-P1 Cube Alarm Clock Radio and the DMP-692 Dual dock music System.

The DMP-692 is one of those snazzy new dual dock devices that can charge your iPhone and your iPod at the same time. The clock has three alarms and can wake you to a buzzer, AM/FM radio, or your favorite playlist. The radio also has an auxiliary input for CD palyers and non-dockable PMPs. A remote controller is included as well.

Alarm clocks that will dock and charge your iPod or iPhone are great. That way you can wake to your favorite music rather than whatever happens to be on the radio. With the popularity of the iPhone and iPods, many homes have two or more devices in the house. The average docking alarm clock can only charge one device.

iHome has unveiled its new iP88 dual Dock Radio & Alarm System for iPhone. The device has a pair of docks on the top that can charge the iPhone and any dockable iPod. It can wake you to iPod music, AM/FM radio or a buzzer. The user can set three alarms.

iLive has introduced two new bar speakers with integrated iPod docks, DVD players and even good old AM/FM radio, with the iT319B and iT209B. The iT319B is a 3.1-channel speaker system with built-in subwoofer and SRS TruSound technology, that will upconvert DVDs to 1080p. It also features 10 radio station presets and a remote for controlling the speaker and your docked iPod. The line-in jack lets you plug in your other audio devices.

The iT209B is the larger of the pair and has most of the same features as the iT319B. No slot-loading DVD player though, along with the HDMI and upconversion features found in the iT319B.

We’re used to seeing alarm clocks, digital photo frames, and iPod/iPhone docks that are boring and simple. But lately manufacturers have been delivering some more elegant products. Like the upcoming ICF-CL75iP, which features a crisp 7 inch color WVGA (800 x 480) LCD, 1GB of built-in storage, and a retractable iPod/iPhone dock.

The photos on the screen can be pulled from your iPod or iPhone, or loaded onto the unit via USB. Of course, you can also store and play music and movies (MP4, Motion JPEG and AVI) on the device. They also threw in an FM/AM radio with 39 presets.

Looking for an iPod dock for your mad science lab? The Einstein Sound Master Photon Ball iPod Dock sounds pretty impressive, but in reality it’s just one of those fancy electro-static orbs attached to a dock. Which is cool, don’t get us wrong, but it’s also kind of too much. The colored ball pulsates and flashes to the beat of the music.
