Sharp FX Plus specs

The Sharp FX Plus is an Android powered QWERTY-slider smartphone with entry-level specifications. It’s the successor of the original Sharp FX messaging phone. It will be shipping pre-installed with Android 2.2 Froyo, which is dissapointing and it’s powered by a 600MHz processor.

Other features include a 3.2-inch HVGA touchscreen display, 512MB RAM, a landscape sliding-out QWERTY keyboard, 3 megapixel camera, Bluetooth, 802.11 Wi-Fi b/g/n, microUSB 2.0, microSD card slot for memory expansion up to 32GB, Android Market, audience’s earSmart noise cancellation technology, and a bunch of Google and AT&T services.

ASUS SL101 Android tablet hits the FCC

ASUS’ Eee Pad Slider, the SL101, has had several delays since it was unveiled at CES earlier this year. It was originally to launch in May 2011 and then it was pushed back to August. Now today the Slider has hit the FCC, so we may see it soon. The Slider got approval for Bluetooth and WiFi, but there were no 3G capabilities mentioned in the FCC filings.

The Slider has a trademark sliding keyboard that emerges from beneath the screen. The Android 3.0 device boasts a 10.1-inch screen with a 1280 x 800 resolution, front (1.2MP) and rear (5MP with flash) cameras, and several ports including microSD, mini HDMI out and mini USB. It is expected to have a dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor.

iFixit tears down new MacBook Air

iFixit has a new MacBook Air. You know what that means.Tearing it open and checking it out. So what did they find. There’s the new Thunderbolt port of course and the fancy new keyboard backlighting. But inside is where all the good stuff is.

There’s an Intel Core i5 processor of course and a Bluetooth 4.0 chip and we also learned that the MacBook Air scores a four out of ten for ease of repair, so it might be best to leave this job to the experts. After all this toy is expensive.

2011 MacBook Air Announced

Apple has announced the new 2011 MacBook Air, which will come with the latest version of Apple’s OS, OS X Lion. There is an 11 inch MacBook Air and a 13 inch MacBook Air available and both feature Intel’s Thunderbolt technology. The 11 inch model comes with either a 1GHz dual core Intel Core i5 processor or a 1.8GHz dual core Intel Core i7 processor. Your choice. All models now have a backlit keyboard as well.

The base model has a 64GBSSD and the top model a 128GB SSD that can be upgraded to a 256GB SSD. Other specs include 2GB of DDR3 RAM, which can be upgraded to 4GB, Intel HD Graphics 3,000, a FaceTime camera, two USB 2.0 ports, a Thunderbolt port, WiFi, Bluetooth and a pair of stereo speakers.

Motorola Droid 3 gets official

The Motorola Droid 3 is finally official, with Verizon offering the phone for sale on its website. The Gingerbread handset has a five-row QWERTY keyboard and a 1GHz dual-core TI OMAP chip. There’s also a 4-inch qHD 960×540 display and 16GB of onboard storage.

Other specs include an 8-megapixel camera for stills, with auto-focus and face recognition and a front facing cam for video calling. Connectivity on the Verizon version is All–Digital, 800/1900, CDMA EVDO rev A and GSM 850/900/1800/1900 UMTS, Wi-Fi, DLNA and Bluetooth 2.1 and it has a 1540mAH Li–Ion battery.

HP Pre 3 Now Available To Pre-Order In The UK For £360

Folks in the Uk waiting on HP’s latest webOS smartphone the HP Pre 3, can now get the device. It is now available to pre-orderin the UK, and it will go on sale at the beginning of July for £360 SIM free including taxes.

The HP Pre 3 has a 3.58 inch touchscreen display and a slide out QWERTY keyboard, as well as a 1.4GHz Qualcomm processor. There will be two models available, one with 16GB of built in storage and one with 32GB of built in storage. It also packs in 801.11 b/g/n WiFi and Bluetooth 2.1+EDR.

Sony PS3 combo with Recorder relaunched in Japan with Bluetooth keyboard

Sony Japan has unveiled the updated PS3 HDD 320GB Recorder Pack which consists of a 320GB Sony PS3 console and a TORNE digital terrestrial tuner and application. This bundle pack will hit retail shelves again on June 30th for US$480.

You also get one wireless controller, Power cord, AV cable and USB cable. The company has also unveiled the PS3-compatible Bluetooth keyboard with a dedicated PS3 button for all the syncing functions. It also features HID Bluetooth profile support and can be used for surfing the web. It will be available starting June 30th for 5000 yen or about US$63.

Asus Lamborghini VX6S laptop

Asus unveiled it’s 12 inch Asus Lamborghini VX6S laptop at Computex 2011, with its orange-yellow finish and a leather finished keyboard. Needless to say, it got a lot of attention. It features an Intel Atom NM10 processor and AMD Radeon HD 6470M graphics and has a 12.1 inch display, Bluetooth, Wireless N, 500 GB hard-drive, card-reader, and Windows 7 Home Premium OS.

Looks like there’s also a 6 Cell 58 Wh battery. And of course the Lamborghini emblem is on its back as a finishing touch.

The latest iPad keyboard to hit the scene is the Crux Loaded, which is the world’s first clamshell-keyboard case that features both a remote-Bluetooth trackpad and an additional-external battery for your iPad. Fujitsu Loox F-07C: World’s first ATOM powered Smartphone

Docomo and Fujitsu have introduced the world’s first dual mode PC/Phone running on an Intel ATOM CPU. The F-07C is mostly an ultra compact Tablet like PC with a slide-out QWERTY Keyboard and trackball in an ultra compact body (125x61x19.8mm).

Some features include a 1.2 ATOM CPU, a 4” touchscreen with a 600×1024 resolution, a 5Mp rear camera and a 0.32Mp front camera, 1GB of RAM, 32GB SSD, WIfi BGN, Bluetooth. And a dual Smartphone mode running Symbian.

Fujitsu Loox F-07C Dual Booting Smartphone

A printed brochure from Fujitsu has leaked, showing off the company’s new Loox F-07C smartphone/UMPC. The device can run dual operating systems. Both Windows 7 and Symbian OS. It is also equipped with a 4-inch screen with a resolution of 1024 x 600 and its powered by an Intel Atom Z600 at 1.2GHz and the GPU is an Intel 600 GMA with Direct X 9.0 support.

Onboard storage is a 32GB SSD with an additional SD card slot for expansion to another 32GB. There’s also a full QWERTY keyboard and it measures just 125mm H x 61mm W x 19.8mm.
