Averatec N3400 13-Inch aluminum notebook |
Averatec’s N3400 is a 13.3″ notebook that weighs in at 3.8lbs, which is pretty light for this category of notebook. The outer shell seems to be made of aluminum, but the rest looks like typical materials. It’s available now for $799. Here are some of the specs:
Intel T3400 2.16Ghz (a CULV would have been cooler), 13.3″ 1280×1024 with 1.3MP webcam, 3GB DDR 2m 800Mhz (8GB max), 250GB hdd, DVD drive, 3x USB, 3.5mm audio in/out, VGA, Multi-format card reader and WiFi-N, Bluetooth, Gigabit Ethernet.

Averatec is offering this 22 inch all-in-one for your desk that doesn’t have much space left. The stylish all-in-one machine packs a 2.5GHz Core 2 Duo E5200 processor, a WXGA panel, 3GB of DDR2 RAM, a 320GB SATA hard drive, slot-loading DVD burner, X4500HD graphics, WiFi, gigabit Ethernet and a 2 megapixel webcam.
Android is the hottest netbook OS around. All the cool kids are doing it. And today it looks like we can add another cool kid to that list.
Averatec offers a full line of all-in-one computers that stuff all the goodies a modern PC needs inside the display like the iMac line. Averatec is mostly known as a maker of cheap laptops, but its all-in-one line is interesting and the latest addition offers the ability to stream HD video.
TG Sambo just rolled another notebook for the South Korea: The Averatec Star. This model will come in an ‘eco & slim’ design, with a silver-colored aluminum finish and a built-in battery pack. Under the hood, there’s an Intel Core 2 Duo P8600 2.4GHz processor, 3GB RAM, a 320GB SATA hard drive and a 13.1″ widescreen LCD display.
The concept behind all-in-one PCs is interesting to me. You cram everything a PC needs inside the LCD case and save space on the floor and make things more attractive overall. The downside of an all-in-one design is that they tend to offer less performance than can be had on traditional computers and they tend to cost more than similar standard computers.
