There aren’t many details yet, but according to the guys over at BGR, some AT&T employees have confirmed that the iPhone 4G will be launched in June. That seems pretty fast since it’s scheduled to be unveiled in early June.

But maybe Apple wants to just get it over with at this point since the cat was let out of the bag awhile ago. If this is true you won’t have to wait long at all.

Elgato has just updated their software to include what they claim will be the world’s first fully-functional HD DVR for all of Apple’s devices. The function called EyeTV HD is designed to record live TV in HD. It will be compatible with your iPhone or iPad as well.

The EyeTV HD just goes into your Mac and your set top box and the video can then be streamed to your iPhone or iPad. It will cost you $200 and includes the HD recorder hardware and software, a remote control and IR channel changer, USB cable, component video cables, stereo audio cables, and a switcher for composite and S-Video input.

Normally when you crack the screen of your iPhone, you have to go to an Apple store and shell out a lot of dough to get your iPhone repaired. You can use a repair kit, but they aren’t easy to use. 10-year olds to the rescue.

This 10 year old managed to do the repair all by himself. That means you can probably do it as well. Brett repaired his dad’s iPhone with a $22 mail-order kit from 3GCrackedGlass.com. The repair was for the glass alone, since the LCD wasn’t damaged.

Looks like it’s the end of the line for the iPhone 3G. If you’ve been perusing the Apple online store today, you might have noticed that the button to select the 8GB iPhone 3G is gone. It simply disappeared from the Apple store as if abducted by a gadget loving alien.

Normally if an item is out of stock at the Apple store, it’s listed as out of stock, but this time there isn’t any mention of what’s happening to the iPhone 3G. So our guess is that it is history. Kaput. Done.

So we saw the white front plate earlier this month and now Chinese site Apple.pro has some shots of what it claims to be the white next-gen iPhone, fully assembled and laying next to the black model we’ve seen many times. You can almost hear the sweet sounds of them singing Ebony and Ivory. Touching.

There’s no question that Apple is selling tons of iPads. To the tune of more than 200,000 iPads per week. According to RBC Capital Markets analyst Mike Abramsky, sales of the device have outpaced those of the Mac in the United States and are now closing in on those of the iPhone 3GS.

200,000 iPads compared to 110,000 Macs. The iPhone does 246,000 per week. These are just analyst estimates, but they are probably in the ballpark. If accurate, this is a heck of a milestone for Apple.

One of the things that many iPhone users have wanted for a long time was the ability to tether their device to a notebook for 3G connectivity. Apple added that feature into OS 3.0, but AT&T blocked tethering on the device.

The first betas of iPhone OS 4 didn’t show any tethering features in the OS. However, a new OS 4 Beta 4 has surfaced that has some tethering features inside.

The Apple leaks just keep on trucking and leaking like a old faucet. Taiwanese site Apple.pro says that the next generation iPhone may come in an completely white version. According to them these photos are proof. It’s good enough for us. And besides, Apple has done it before.

But as we remember, most people wanted the black version. Maybe they just won’t bother offering the white one up in Australia this time around.

This Resonance iPod Speaker Dock looks familiar. Like a familiar Apple product. It does do some unique tricks though. It uses resonance to transmit the sound from your iPod or iPhone through a hard surface like a wooden table, or marble floor.

There’s also an audio amplifier, but we’re skeptical about the audio quality that this device delivers. With it’s 3.5mm line-in jack, you can hook up non-Apple audio devices as well.

Vietnam has suddenly become a real hot place for product leaks. There was Apple’s iPhone 4G and now they have details about the upcoming MacBook refresh. This MacBook bears the model number A1342 and is identified as the MacBook7,1, rather than the current MacBook6,1.

Not all that different, but at least we know a refresh isn’t very far away. Some of the specifics include: a 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 2GB DDR3 RAM, 250GB hard drive, 13.3-inch display, NVIDIA GeForce 320M graphics with 256MB DDR3 shared SDRAM, 8x slot-loading superdrive, Wi-Fi b/g/n and Bluetooth.

Attention Walmart shoppers, you might see the iPad hitting Walmart stores near you sometime soon. Senior vice president of entertainment for Walmart’s US stores has confirmed that they’re planning to carry the iPad later this year.

U.S. distribution is currently limited to Apple’s online and retail stores and Best Buy locations offering the Apple “store-within-a-store” concept. We’ll have to see how this works out as Apple is busy trying to keep up with customer demand for the iPad.

The release of the Square Payment System is here, allowing you to use your iPhone as a credit card reader. Square will also support the iPad and Android devices. The app is already available in Apple’s App Store and the credit card reader is free to those who sign up.

The service isn’t free, however. Retailers will have to pay fees that start at 2.75 percent, as well as a 15 cent surcharge. But the setup cost is probably cheaper than other options out there.

I really like my iPad and most of the time I like the fact that it has performance like a netbook but the input features of my iPhone. However, a few times I have wished that I could use a big keyboard and mouse with the thing.

A new hack for jailbroken iPads has surfaced that allows the user to use the Apple Magic Mouse with the iPad via Bluetooth. The only real downside is that the iPad has to be jailbroken and many folks don’t want to do that.

Visa is paving the way for iPhone owners to be able to make payments with their handset at special terminals. This wireless credit card payment system is the first of its kind in the world. It will involve a customized payment software called Visa payWave, which will come pre-installed on a memory card.

The iPhone itself lacks an external memory slot, so it will require you to buy a new iPhone case that is Apple-certified. This makes everyone richer, including the case manufacturer. Everyone except for you. Your money will be leaving with the case and with every transaction.

If you are a Verizon user and have been waiting for the new iPhone 4 this year, we have some bad news. According to BroadPoint AmTech analyst Brian Marshall, AT&T has extended its exclusive deal thanks to their bargaining with the iPad.

Basically AT&T had to do something dramatic to get in on the iPad action. They negotiated a 50% discount on iPad data plans with Apple. And so, AT&T was able to negotiate a six-month extension on the iPhone exclusive, where they will continue to provide dropped calls and horrible service.
