Cat owners are probably used to waking up in the dead of night to a pair of large cat eyes staring at them evilly. It keeps you on your toes and makes you wonder when he will make his move, so it’s best to sleep with one eye open. For the rest of us, there’s this creepy Led/Lcd cat clock with large eyes and glowing head.

It displays the time in it’s oversized glowing alien eyes from a multi-colored glowing skull, hypnotizing you just before you wake up. Then when you open your eyes, it plants various suggestions in your mind via the annoying beeping sound. It was spotted on ebay for $18. I’m not positive, but I’m pretty sure this is an alien signaling device. Probably prepares you for your eventual abduction.

After announcing their iPod computer speakers, iHome wants you to know they have Zune love too. iHome’s ZN9 is being called “the world’s first clock radio for the Zune”.

The Zune is no iPod, so the device might be looked at as a bit of a gamble for the company, but iHome should do just fine since they already have plenty of products that cater to the iPod and because no one has bothered to make an alarm clock radio for the Zune until now. It sports a distinctive X-Box shape, which should please X-fans. The price is $99 in July.

Here’s a pretty decent looking and unique alarm clock setup for your iPhone or iPod touch. It was designed specifically for both devices, taking advantage of their screen. This way you have your device and a slick looking clock both on display. Just like all the other docks, the iH41 will charge the player and throw out the audio.

The interesting feature here is that when you turn it on its side to view your device horizontally, the clock on the dock rotates so you can still read the time. The dock has an auxiliary jack that should be compatible with just about any MP3 player if you haven’t jumped on the iWagon yet. It will cost you $79.99 and it ships in July.

LG put out more detailed information today on some new home theater systems first shown off at CES earlier this year. These include, besides the LHT888, the new LHT874, LHT854, LFD850 and LFA840.

These systems are in the processing of appearing at retail locations such as Best Buy and Circuit City. LG describes them as featuring “distinctive designs” and “advanced technology. We detail the other items in this new line up after the jump.

Sure, you can give your Mom this Home Appliance alarm clock for Mother’s Day…If you want to get smacked into next Wednesday. Listen son, your mom works hard every day. She’s got to clean up after your sorry butt, not to mention the rest of the family. This clock looks awesome and it reminds you of the 80′s immediately and the fact that you couldn’t solve this thing to save your life. Have no fear, this one will be easy to solve since only the top row twists to switch between time, temperature, alarm and date modes.

It’s also very affordable at $24.98. Just think, now when you wake up, if you are out of it enough you might think it’s the 80′s again, just for a second or two. Just thank your lucky stars that it doesn’t require you to fully solve it in order to shut it off. If that were the case, it would have to hit the wall very hard one morning.

Sagem is probably better known for their budget cell phones, but now they’re releasing the mydu@l radio700 WiFi Internet radio clock. It’s perhaps not the sexiest radio, but you won’t need any computer to use it, and it will be able to get up to 7,000 Internet radio stations as long as it’s within a WiFi zone.

It does terrestrial radio too, with an integrated FM tuner, and you can also hook up USB devices and playback MP3, WMA and WAV files from it. To top it all off, it has an alarm clock function with a snooze button. You can get the Sagem mydu@l radio 700 at the special introductory price of £79.99.

If you aren’t a morning person and need a bit of a boost to get you out of the bed Memorex has a new device that might help you wake up. The Memorex iWake clock Radio for the iPod was announced today and the radio is available in three bright colors—red, blue, and purple.

The device has a built-in iPod dock and can wake you to music from your iPod or wake you to the AM/FM radio built-in. The iPod dock can charge and power all iPod models. If the bright colors don’t float your boat, you can get the iWake in black or white as well.

Designer Jean Hong has a slightly different vision for the Ultra-Mobile PC (UMPC), and that vision is the Pix-L. The device functions as both an alarm clock and a browser for your bedside. If you want to view it on your nightstand, you can prop up the mini-screen or turn it around for a better angle from above, that way it’s ideal for viewing while you’re lying on your stomach.

Just let it wake you up in the morning, then detach the PC from its stand for portable computing. Even the color scheme shown here is super nice. I would be very surprised if this designer isn’t working for Microsoft very soon.

There’s no shortage of interesting and unique alarm clocks that serve as alternatives to the usual, but this may be the most gentle way they have come up with to wake you up. It could also make you look very creepy to your partner. It was designed by Ian Walton and Eoin McNally, who wanted to create a product that could help combat the rigors of a “24 hour” lifestyle.

Sony’s launching a new clock radio as one of the first that are compatible with the iPhone. The ICF-ClipMK2 comes with a wireless remote control that can run the docked iPod or iPhone (when in iPod mode) and can also control the devices radio stations and volume.

The dock is adjustable to fit different sizes of iPods without them wiggling around and will charge the iPod when docked. There’s also an inline port for connecting other media players to hear through the speakers.

That little cuddly, bean-bag like Chumby computer device we had talked about last year is finally available for sale to everyone. We thought it would hit sometime last fall but it looks like it took a little longer.

The Chumby comes in 3 colors of latte, black or pearl with a retail price of $179.95. The small device comes with a customizable Linux OS and WiFi bringing it updates on a frequent basis according to the company. Among the many built-in features it can bring in news and weather information, work as an alarm clock, play music, view photos and email along with whatever else you’d like to make it do yourself.

Revo, a British radio maker, launched the Blik Wi-Fi clock radio late last year providing a clock radio that can pick up local FM stations or over 6,000 internet radio stations around the world. The device connects wirelessly to your home Wi-Fi connection and will list the internet radio stations alphabetically organized by country or music genre.

The Blik can also stream in audio content from the digital audio stored on a PC or Mac through the Wi-Fi network, and can connect directly to an iPod providing simple speakers for your player through the Blik M-port. And of course it works as a clock radio with an alarm, waking you up to your favorite local or internet radio station. It also features a wireless infra-red remote, a jack for headphones and an interesting design that comes in black or white.

Robert Radio announced the MP-Sound 41, a slick looking silver colored and compact portable digital radio with Electronic Programming Guide (EPG) technology. The Electronic Programming Guide lets you program the radio to record up to 12 of your favorite shows for up to a week in advance, so you won’t have to miss anything again. You can also use the EPG to store up to eight hours of recordings directly onto a SD memory card.

Some other features include a full screen display, easy “cassette key-style” navigation, which will give you pause, rewind, fast-forward, record and playback. You also get PausePlus, a clock function with up to 12 different alarms and a headphone jack.
