Posted in Automotive by Conner Flynn on November 11th, 2008

1973 GT Opel Batmobile is one odd Bat-carAccording to the description on this eBay auction, some nutty doctor in California took a 1973 GT Opel and converted it into a Batmobile to bring to the hospital for kids. The kid part is a noble idea. But a 1973 Opel? It’s unique, we have to give him that.

The auction ended at $9,000.00. Some of the specs include: a SONY Digital Navigation System #NVX-F160, SONY Pre-Amp XDP-U50D, SONY 10 Disk CD Changer CDX-U404, SONY Hi-8 VCR, Pioneer CD player DEH-85 in the dash….comes with the batman theme on cd!, Alpine Bat Phone #91530, Super Nintendo NES Game system with Batman Forever game, SONY Interface Equalizer #XE-744 and a whole lot more. Strange, but we dig it.

NES re-imagined is super hot
I just found myself back in 1984, but in an alternate reality. If I can I’m gonna stay awhile, cause this redesigned NES kicks all kinds of ass. Look at those curves. The controllers look like delicious and super sexy candy bars.

You can thank Javier Segovia, a digital artist from Spain, for this magnificent bit of eye candy. This is his vision of an updated, redesigned Nintendo Entertainment System. Appropriately, he calls it reNESED. Oh yeah. Several geeks have just wet themselves and have become drooling vegetables.

World’s first quadruple-neck guitar

World’s first quadruple-neck guitar
This guitar requires at least four times the skill of your normal rocker. It would be great for the alien band that has a few more limbs then most. With this baby you can be a one man bluegrass band with guitar, bass, mandolin and banjo all in one. I’m guessing the weight will destroy your collar bone though.

One of these monstrosities sold on eBay earlier this month for $255, which is insanely cheap, even when you consider the $134.98 shipping fee. It’s probably just as well, it’s gotta be a pain in the ass to restring this thing. You are NOT a guitar hero until you master this baby.

Diesel Multi Display watch looks tough

Diesel Multi Display watch looks tough
This new watch from the Diesel Signature collection has a huge dial and features a chronograph as well as four miniature movements. It’s actually pretty nice looking and appears to be rugged at the same time, sporting a black genuine leather strap and stainless steel case, with stainless steel plates and Diesel screws.

The gunmetal sunray dials have a black logo, texture and applied silver indexes as well as a Mohican head insignia. The case size is 45mm wide x 58mm length x 15mm in height. It will cost you a whooping $595 which might make your heart jump a tad, but hey it’s water Resistant up to 3 ATM. Looks like Diesel is not just expensive at the pumps, but for your wrist as well.

Robot watch transforms into a desk clock

Robot watch transforms into a desk clock

This great looking and versatile robot watch serves a double duty as both a watch and a desk clock. Just remove him from the wristband and stand him up. That’s not all he does. It can also be used as a keychain time piece and even a necklace pendant. That’s alot of uses for one little robot. The arms are fully posable as well as his headgear. I think the best part about him is that he looks cool with the clock on his chest.

How much would you pay for this much coolness in one robot? You can get it for a surprising $40. Comes in Silver and Gold tone as well as a pewter color. All look equally nice.
