Ostrich Leather Arcade Stick

Posted in Controllers by Conner Flynn on February 3rd, 2011

A luxury joystick without any bling or diamonds is pretty refreshing, however, who wants an arcade stick made of Ostrich leather? The Hoon Entertainment System from Neo Legend and Hoon comes with a joystick and 10 buttons. It will play nice with the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.

The hardware is made by Sanwa and some poor ostrich. Classy? Not really. Kind of weird. There’s no info on availability and pricing, but we know it won’t come cheap. Want one?

Nexus S gets overclocked to 1.2 GHz

Posted in DIY by Conner Flynn on January 3rd, 2011

If you think that the Hummingbird processor in your Nexus S is a bit slow at 1GHz, maybe you can overclock it, like morfic at XDA has managed to do. He overclocked the Nexus S to 1.2 Ghz and developed a new kernal which allows owners of the Nexus S to add an extra 200 million clock cycles to the processing power.

The only problem is that with this increase in speed, you are going to have some glitches. The increased speed disables the phone’s Bluetooth capabilities for one, but hey you have more power. There’s always a price to pay.

Winter. It’s the time of year when sitting by the fire not only warms your body, but seems to warm your soul. But what if you don’t have a fireplace? Well, you could make your own fireplace in your computer case.

This LCD screen with a computer behind it may not throw off much heat, but just the sight of it might help on a cold night. It’s better than nothing. And anyway it looks great. This thing is hot. Pun intended. The case was recently on display at the PDXLAN 16.5 event over in Portland.

Posted in Netflix by Conner Flynn on December 8th, 2010

Netflix was rumored to be offering to pay $100,000 per episode for these shows. We don’t know if that was the price or not, but the company has reached a new deal with Disney-ABC Television Group that keeps episodes of shows like Lost on your streaming list and adds some new ones.

The delay time for adding new episodes is 15 days minimum so they will arrive soon. You can look forward to every single episode of Scrubs, Ugly Betty and Reaper due in 2011, plus expanded offerings from Disney Channel and ABC Family.
