NOOK Color retails for $249

The Barnes & Noble NOOK Color e-book reader is now available for purchase should you choose. The device is priced at $249. The 7 inch android tablet features a 7-inch IPS touchscreen display at 1024 x 600 resolution.

Of course there is also the Google Android operating system and a web browser. The eReader also has built-in Wi-Fi, allowing you to surf the web, check your email and read your favorite blog. So, who’s getting one?

Commtiva N700 7-inch Android 2.2 Tablet

Taiwanese mobile device manufacturer Commtiva has introduced a 7-inch Android 2.2 tablet, called the N700. It made an appearance at the FCC today, suggesting a possible launch in the United States, where it will surely get lost in the over-saturated market.

The Commtiva N700 features a 7-inch (480 x 800) capacitive multi touch screen, a Qualcomm MSM7227 600MHz processor, 512MB of RAM, a microSD card slot (up to 32GB), an included 4GB microSD card, a 3MP camera, GPS, 3G data, WiFi and Bluetooth. The Commtiva N700 is priced at about $475.

Harrods adds some bling to the Samsung Galaxy Tab

If you think that the Samsung Galaxy Tab is expensive already, Harrods has a version that raises the price to new levels. They are offering a custom Samsung Galaxy Tab that comes with 5700 Swarovski “crystals” which are already included into the final price point.

These “crystals” are all glued on by hand, and carefully placed around a Galaxy Tab logo in “Jet Hematite”. This all translates to a £2,699 price. We reckon you’ll leave a trail of crystals behind you if you use this thing.

Yamaha Blu-ray player with Netflix, YouTube streaming

Yamaha has introduced the BD-A1000, a “universal Blu-ray player” with streaming capabilities. This model allows you to play Blu-ray discs, DVDs, SACDs, DVD Audio discs and web-based media like Netflix, YouTube and Blockbuster. What else do you need?

It’s dual USB ports can also be used to attach an external hard drive or thumb drive. Full HD Audio decoding is supported, with four two-channel DACs that split the signal into a 7.1-channel analog output. The BD-A1000 is now available now and will cost you $700.

Century’s New External HDD Case with LCD display

Century’s latest external HDD case comes in the form of the CWRS2LCD-BK. It’s an external hot-swappable hard drive enclosure with cooling fans, heat sensors and an LCD display that shows the information right on the front of the case. What more do you need?

It measures 149mm x 185mm x 42mm and weighs 700 grams. This enclosure allows for hot-swapping hard drives just by opening the front panel. The Century CWRS2LCD-BK will arrive in early November.

HTC Surround and Samsung Focus available November 8th from AT&T

AT&T has just made it official that they will be offering both the HTC Surround and Samsung Focus starting on November 8th. The Surround and Focus are two of the carrier’s three Windows Phone 7 launch phones.

AT&T’s third Windows Phone 7 will be the LG Quantum, which will also launch on the same day. The carrier also said that its BlackBerry Torch smartphone will be available in red on November 7th, and that it will launch a new promotion giving a free accessory to customers who purchase two other accessories at full price.

EKING S700 e-notepad

Why would you want an Apple iPad when you can have the EKING S700? It’s the “first e-notepad in the world”. The S700 is aimed at those who work outside of their regular office environment and need to take notes.

The device features resistance touch control and electromagnetic induction touch control, along with 3G connectivity. You get a 7-inch display and Wi-Fi as well. Even a 3-megapixel automatic focus camera. Yeah, I think I’ll go with the iPad just the same, thanks.

DROID Pro launching on Verizon for $299 on 2-Year Contract?

Motorola’s Droid Pro worldphone has been spotted at a Verizon test website for $299 on-contract and as much as $700 unsubsidized. If the 1GHz unit arrives as shown without a rebate, it would be the most expensive Android handset offered, at $50 more than Samsung’s $250 Epic 4G.

That’s pretty strange for a 320 x 480 resolution phone without a huge Super AMOLED screen. This pricing may just be preliminary though. We should find out soon at any rate. Hopefully it will be cheaper.

Toshiba Portege R700 with built-in WiMAX

Toshiba has announced the latest version of its popular Portege R700 notebook. The most interesting feature of this notebook is the built-in WiMAX modem which lets users get a fast data connection on either Clear or Sprint.

The S1322W variant of this notebook will cost you $1,349 and features a Core i5 processor, 320GB hard drive, DVD drive, 4GB RAM, and weighs just three pounds. The S1332W is priced at $1,699 and features a 2.66GHz Core i7 processor, 4GB RAM and 128GB SSD. Both 13.3-inch ultralight notebooks are available in stores right now, assuming your location offers Sprint or Clear 4G WiMAX coverage.

New Acer Veriton Z410G All-in-one

Acer is set to release an updated version of its Veriton Z280G all-in-one PC. The Veriton Z410G is powered by the Pentium E5700 processor and features 2GB DDR3 SDRAM, a 320GB hard drive and Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X4500.

The Acer Veriton Z410G also sports a high-definition 21.5-inch LCD display for brilliant images with its 16:9 aspect ratio, a 5ms response time and full HD 1920×1080 resolution. The system also comes with 8 USB 2.0 ports and an eSATA port for transferring data to an external hard drive.

Energy Sistem has introduced a new portable DVD player called the Energy M2700. This player has all of the basic functions that you need and can read DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD-RW, DVD+RW, CD-R, and CD-RW. It measures 21cm x 4cm x 15.8cm and weighs in at 840 grams.

The Energy M2700 also features a 7-inch high-resolution widescreen display, a USB port and an SD/MMC/MS card reader. It can also be used as a digital picture frame.

CSL DroidPad Spice MI700

Malaysia-based gadget maker CSL has introduced the DroidPad Spice MI700. It’s a 7-inch multi-touch tablet that runs the Android 2.2 OS. The device measures 179.4mm x 110mm x 11.5mm and has a Qualcomm MSM7227 chip clocked at 600MHz, 512MB of RAM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 3G connectivity.

There’s also GPS, a back-facing 3 megapixel camera, a microSD card slot, a G-sensor and a USB port. It’s powered by a 3240 mAh Li-Pol battery that delivers up to 6-hours of operation time. The CSL DroidPad Spice MI700 retails for about $518.
