The noise canceling feature is what is being boasted by Sony’s new NW-700 series Walkman‘s, but there is more in this new offering than just that.

First things first, the new MP3 player Walkman has a tiny specialized microphone in the ear bud that it uses to pick up external noise and apply noise canceling sound. This is actually an Actroid Der2 from Kokoro in Japan. They specialize in animatronics and robots and rent out these actroids for “special events”.

They have various types of actroid robots and animatronics aside from hot females, and use them for shows and productions. The site describes and rents out a “working girl” robot that is described as “Elegant, feminine, and lively at times…”. You can choose from different costumes including a business suit, nurse, maid and traditional japanese clothing.

Palm Treo 700wxPalm has released a new version of the Treo, or at least I think it’s a new version. It looks a lot like the old version to me, but it has an ‘x’ on the end of the name.

One thing that is different for sure, is that you can get this new version through Sprint Nextell instead of the Verizon, which is where you can get the version without the ‘x’.
