Sony Launches New S-Frame Digital Video Photo Frames

Sony has three new S-Frame digital video photo frames. The DPF-HD1000, DPF-HD800 frames support HD video play back with support for MPEG4, MPEG1, and Motion JPEG videos captured on digital cameras.

Both frames have an internal 2GB of memory and the HD800 has an 8 inch display with a resolution of 800 x 480 and the HD1000 has a resolution of 1026 x 600 with a 10.1-inch screen. These new Frames also have integrated speakers and are designed to also playback audio files supporting MP3, AAC, and Linear PCM.

Acer TravelMate 8481 coming in late August

Acer’s TravelMate 8481 features an extra thin bezel and 13 hours of battery life for those of you who are on the road. Acer originally had a mid-June launch in mind, but now we have word that the Core i7-packing notebook is coming in late August.

UK pricing is £699, though we have no idea yet when it will arrive in the states. When we hear something we will let you know as usual.

Acer AC700 WiFi now on sale for $350

Acer’s new AC700 for $350 is an affordable entry into the world of Chrome OS even if it is WiFi-only. A 3G version is coming later this summer for a larger price if that is more your speed.

The AC700 has an Atom N570 processor, 16GB of storage, and 2GB of RAM. There’s also a 1.3MP webcam, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, 2 USB 2.0 ports, HDMI out, and a 6 hour battery life. Best of all, it’s available right now.

Nokia 700 Zeta Press Photos Leaked

Last week some leaked photos of the Nokia 700 Zeta showed up and now some press shots of the Nokia 700 Zeta have been leaked, as well as some more specifications. It looks like the Nokia 700 Zeta will come with the Symbian Belle OS, a 3.2 inch AMOLED display and a 1GHz processor.

Other specifications for the Nokia 700 Zeta could include a 5 megapixel camera and built in Nier Field Communications (NFC). Hopefully we will have some more info for you soon.

Sony PSN ‘Welcome Back’ promotion extended for one more day

Most of us have already collected those PSN freebies when the promotion launched last month, but if you have not, you have another day to download your pair of free PS3 and PSP games, 100 virtual items from PlayStation Home, and 30 days of PlayStation Plus.

After that, you will have to pay up for your copy of Dead Nation or LittleBigPlanet and the other extras vanish as well. It all goes offline at 9AM Pacific Time tomorrow. Better hurry.

iriver P8 player shows up on Russian site

iriver has not updated its P series of large-screen portable media players in quite some time, so you are likely as surprised as we are that this five-incher has shown up on the company’s Russian site. With a battery life of up to nine hours of video and 40 hours of audio to boot.

The P8 comes in 8GB and 16GB sizes, sports a microSD slot, and an HDMI port for pushing HD content to a TV. We have no idea if it will ever land on American shores or how much it will cost when it does, but we like what we see.

Art Lebedev Optimus Mini Six Keyboard

Art Lebedev Studios is ready to release the new Optimus Mini Six keyboard later this year. As the name implies, it is mini with six keys.

The device has six shortcut keys that each have a tiny color (64 x 64) LCD display. These LCD shortcut keys are smaller than its predecessor in order to reduce the overall footprint of this keyboard. Nothing on pricing or availability yet, but we will let you know.

Acer announces Aspire One Happy 2 netbook

Acer has announced the Acer Aspire Happy 2, which runs on a dual-core Atom N570 CPU, a 10.1-inch display, 250GB hard drive, WiFi radio, and 1GB of RAM. As you can see they come in pastel colors, making us wonder why they didn’t arrive at Easter.

The colors are “Banana Cream,” “Blueberry Shake,” “Strawberry Yogurt,” and “Papaya Milk”. They are available now for $269.99.

HP TouchPad gets torn apart

Fans of the HP TouchPad now have a chance to see what makes it tick. Assuming you haven’t torn it apart yourself anyway.

The HP Touchpad is easier to take apart than most gadgets. You just need a Phillips screwdriver and a little prying. But it’s always nice when others do it for you. That way yours remains intact and functional. Check it all out at the link below.

HTC Eternity leaked

The HTC Eternity has a 4.7-inch WVGA Super LCD and WP7 superphone. According to the leak, it will be shipping with a single-core 1.5GHz processor, 8 megapixel camera (autofocus, dual LED flash), a 720p movie mode, front-facing 1.3 megapixel camera, 16GB of storage, DLNA support, Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS and a 1,650mAh battery.

Yes it does sound awesome with that list of features. The Mango update will be needed before that front-facing camera becomes useful though. Nothing on price or release date yet though. We will let you know when we hear about it.

MSI 14 Inch CX480 Laptop With nVidia GeForce GT 520M

MSI has announced their new CX480 laptop which features an Intel 2nd generation Core i processor. You can get it with either a Core i5-2410 (2.30GHz) or Core i3-2310 (2.10GHz). It also packs in an nVidia GeForce GT520M discrete graphics card with 1GB of DDR3 display memory and supports DirectX 11 and automatic graphics switching to help your battery life.

It will also boot in half the time traditional laptops take. The hard drive is moved away from the edge and encased in a sort of air bag which should protect it if you drop the laptop. Nothing on price or availability yet.

DyzPlastic Heroes And Villans Android Collectibles

We’ve shown you the previous versions of the Android collectibles from the guys at DyzPlastics, and they are all very cool, but now they are releasing a new line of Android collectible mascots called Heroes and Villans.

Just look at those guys. Awesome. There will be four different versions and they will make their debut at the 2011 International Comic-Con in San Diego. Of course they will only be available in a limited number, with one design being made available each day starting on Wednesday the 20th of July at Comic-Con. Now you have to be there.

AOC e2251Fwu USB-Powered LCD Monitor

AOC is getting ready to ship their latest USB-powered LCD Monitor: The e2251Fwu. It was shown off at the CEA Line Show in New York last week and will be available soon.

This 21.5-inch widescreen monitor delivers 1920 x 1080 Full HD resolution, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 200 cd/m2 brightness and a 5ms response time. Of course it is powered by USB. The AOC e2251Fwu will go on sale in August for an unknown price.

Sharp PW-AC30 and PW-AC40 Pocket Dictionaries

Sharp has unveiled two new pocket dictionaries that are available next month. The Sharp Brain PW-AC30 and PW-AC40. The former supports Chinese handwriting input, while the latter supports Korean handwriting input.

Both have a 2.4-inch color touchscreen display with QVGA resolution, a 3.5mm audio jack and a QWERTY keypad. The Sharp Brain PW-AC30 and the PW-AC40 will be available in Japan on July 15, 2011 for about $246.
