Sharp Galapagos A01SH Android Tablet

The Sharp Galapagos A01SH Android tablet features a 7-inch (1024 x 600) display, a 1Ghz nVidia Tegra 2 chipset and the Google Android 3.2 Honeycomb OS.

Other features include a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash, a 2-megapixel secondary camera for video calls. The battery will deliver up to 7.5-hours of battery life. The Sharp Galapagos A01SH will arrive in Japan later this month.

Rezurrection Call of Duty: Black Ops map pack to be released August 23rd on Xbox 360

Fans of Black Ops have something to be very happy about. The latest map pack titled “Rezurrection” will be coming to the Xbox 360 followed by PC and PlayStation 3 later. Sadly these maps will not be multiplayer maps though.

You get a new map level called “Moon” along with four re-mastered zombie maps: “Nacht der Üntoten,” “Verrückt,” “Shi No Numa” and “Der Riese.” They should be released on August 23rd for the XBox, with PS3 and PC following later.

Compaq Mini CQ10-688nr netbook arriving August 4th

The Compaq Mini CQ10-688nr comes with a 10.1-inch screen and 1024 x 600 resolution. It packs an Intel Atom N455 CPU at 1.66GHz, a 250GB HDD and it has 1GB of DDR3 RAM. There’s also a VGA resolution webcam for video chatting, WiFi and a media card reader.

If you’re into LTE you can expect to see download speeds in the 5-12Mbps range and uploads around 2 to 5Mbps. The Compaq Mini CQ10-688nr will retail for $449.99 with a new 2-year customer agreement. A monthly data plan with 2GB of monthly data is $30, 5GB of monthly data is $50, and 10GB of monthly data is $80.

Motorola Droid Bionic specs revealed

We know that you can’t wait to get yourself a Droid Bionic and you’ve no doubt been wondering about the specs. Well, they are on Motorola’s developer site. It features a TI OMAP 4430 1GHz dual-core CPU bundled with 1GB RAM, a 4.3-inch qHD display with 960 x 540 resolution, HDMI 1.4, 8 megapixel rear camera and a VGA front-facing camera.

Other specs include 1080p HD video capture, webtop capabilities, and LTE radio. No GSM / EDGE of course. At least now we know some more of what it’s offering.

Samsung To Produce 7-inch AMOLED Display With Higher Resolution

We all want higher resolution for better image quality, especially on smaller screens. The good news is that Samsung Mobile Display will be developing a new 7-inch AMOLED display with a higher resolution.

This AMOLED display will feature a resolution of 1024×768. The previous AMOLED display had a resolution of 1024×600. But you won’t be seeing the new displays on tablets this year. When we hear more we will let you know.

Motorola Domino+ Spotted In The Wild

This new budget phone will be offered by Motorola this month in China. Thе Motorola Domino+, model number XT531, had already hit the FCC last week and wіlƖ hаνе a price point οf 2198 yuan (around $341). What kind of specs does it have?

It has an 800MHz Qualcomm MSM7227 processor, 512MB οf RAM and ROM, 3.5-inch HVGA ԁіѕрƖау, five-megapixel camera wіth LED flash, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS plus Android 2.3.4. It wіƖƖ bе available wіth piano paint technology іn black and white.

Yoomi DUO Turns Your iPad into an Interactive Board Game

Despite the fact that touchscreen tablets are supposed to be free of unnecessary accessories and other gadgets, the DUO will gladly turn your iPad into an interactive board game. Just set it on top of the iPad or iPad 2 and it will work with a game called Yoomi.

The DUO comes with tokens, so at the end of the game there is a winner and a loser. It retails for $14.99 on Amazon and is also available at Toys ‘R’ Us, and Walmart. I guess this is where board games are headed, instead of coming in a large box.

PlayStation Vita out in October?

According to a British Blockbuster flyer, the PlayStation Vita will land in the United Kingdom on October 28th. This fall release date fits right into Sony’s “end of 2011″ launch window, so this may be accurate.

Of course, without official confirmation you should take this with a grain of salt for now. If this does pan out it will be a nice Halloween surprise. Hopefully it’s a treat rather than a trick.

The Sharp FX Plus is an Android powered QWERTY-slider smartphone with entry-level specifications. It’s the successor of the original Sharp FX messaging phone. It will be shipping pre-installed with Android 2.2 Froyo, which is dissapointing and it’s powered by a 600MHz processor.

Other features include a 3.2-inch HVGA touchscreen display, 512MB RAM, a landscape sliding-out QWERTY keyboard, 3 megapixel camera, Bluetooth, 802.11 Wi-Fi b/g/n, microUSB 2.0, microSD card slot for memory expansion up to 32GB, Android Market, audience’s earSmart noise cancellation technology, and a bunch of Google and AT&T services.

ESPN split screen on Xbox

Sports fans will now have a special treat on the Xbox. Microsoft has confirmed plans to launch an updated version of the ESPN service on Xbox Live on Aug. 25. One of the most interesting new features is a split-screen view for watching two games at once.

The pdate coincides with the college football season. Other new features include a mini guide at the bottom of the screen, and the ESPN “BottomLine” news and score ticker that we all know and love. ESPN on Xbox 360 is free to Xbox Live Gold members who connect through participating broadband providers.

Redbox adds video games to 5,000 more kiosks

Redbox has announced that it will add video game rentals to an additional 5,000 kiosks starting August 1st. The company announced last month that game titles for the Xbox 360, Sony PlayStation and Nintendo Wii would be added to 16,000 more redbox kiosks by the end of June, and the total after this next round of additions will approach 27,000.

Redbox owns and operates about 33,000 rental kiosks around the country, and the company did not indicate if or when video games might be added to the remaining 6,000 kiosks that will not have them. All games carried in redbox kiosks are $2 per night.

Razer Electra Smartphone & Tablet Gaming Headset Coming October 2011

Razer has a new set of gaming headphones called the Razer Electra, which are specifically designed for tablet and smartphone gamers. They have enhanced bass response with optimized drivers, as well as replaceable sound-isolating leatherette ear cushions.

It also has a detachable rubber sheathed audio cable and detachable inline microphone audio cable for voice communication. However the combined inline cable microphone only works in a port that mixes audio and microphone capability, like many smartphone and tablet jacks.

Vodafone 555 Blue Facebook phone unveiled

This phone has finally gone official. And of course, there’s a Facebook button to make Facebook just one click away. It features a white shell and physical QWERTY keyboard, but it’s not running Android, instead using a proprietary system with your FaceBook status heavily integrated into everything.

Turn on the phone, and you’ll be prompted for a Facebook login. No touchscreen. The screen is 2.4-inches across, also a 2-megapixel camera on the back. No 3G or WiFi either. It will arrive in August, priced at around £60.

This $22 USB Optical Mouse with Pocket Digital Scale is capable of handling a weight range of 0.1 gram to 500 grams. It works for both right-handers and left-handers. It does need a few AAA batteries though. You guys want to weigh in on this one?

Sony Launches New S-Frame Digital Video Photo Frames

Sony has three new S-Frame digital video photo frames. The DPF-HD1000, DPF-HD800 frames support HD video play back with support for MPEG4, MPEG1, and Motion JPEG videos captured on digital cameras.

Both frames have an internal 2GB of memory and the HD800 has an 8 inch display with a resolution of 800 x 480 and the HD1000 has a resolution of 1026 x 600 with a 10.1-inch screen. These new Frames also have integrated speakers and are designed to also playback audio files supporting MP3, AAC, and Linear PCM.
