Motorola has announced the new MOTORIZR Z8 from Motorola featuring a sleek design that’s becoming commonplace with Motorola phones, but this one has a slight twist, or more of an angle really.

The Z8 has a “kick slider” design, which slides out to expose the keypad while creating a slight angle to match the contour of the face. The intention here is to make the use of the mobile phone more a little more comfortable, and we’re always happy to see new designs for cell phones, even if it is just a slight change.

Samsung introduced four new phones from its Ultra Edition II Series of slim and stylish handsets, including the U100 – the slimmest phone in the world (pictured). These phones build on the success of the original Ultra Edition range released back in July 2006.

Sony Ericsson today has announced the release of the new Walkman W880 model to their line up of Walkman phones available.

The W880 is the slimmest phone yet from Sony Ericsson, measuring only 9.4 mm thick (about the thickness of a CD case) housing a 1.8″ TFT display and 2 megapixel camera. This music phone also comes with a 1GB Memory Stick Micro included in the package to dispel concerns about enough internal storage space.

Palm and Cingular introduced the new Palm Treo 750 for Cingular this week, which is now available for customers through Cingular and through Palm’s website. This brings Cingular up into the race with a product in direct competition with the likes of Sprint and Verizon with their Treo 700 line products, and is an addition to the Treo 680 already available from Cingular.
