Droid Charge may go on sale Tuesday

Posted in Motorola by Conner Flynn on May 1st, 2011

The burning question of the week after the crash of Verizon’s LTE network and the delay of the Samsung Droid Charge is “When can we expect this phone to go on sale?” Looks like the answer is Tuesday or Thursday.

Costco is expecting to start getting the Droid Charge on Monday, with a hard “do not sell” order until Tuesday, according to the image above. Then there is also a shot of a Costco inventory screen that confirms what you see above, with an “expected arrival” of May 5. So it looks like it will be this week either way.

New Sony PlayStation 3 CECH-3001A hits the FCC

Posted in PS3 by Conner Flynn on April 27th, 2011

We’ve had the same PS3 consoles on the market for a while now. The only significant change came with the new slim format. But now a pair of new PS3 consoles has hit the FCC recently. All we really know is that they have Bluetooth and WiFi and that we could have guessed ourselves.

The new consoles go by model numbers CECH-3001A and CECH-3001B. The letter seems to denote different HDD sizes. So what are the changes? Maybe a new update to the chipset? Maybe some updates to keep them safe from hackers too. Then again, maybe this is just adding a new HDD capacity option. Thoughts?
