Oops. Best Buy has listings for a number of accessories from Belkin for the as yet unannounced iPod touch 3rd generation. None of the listings mention a digital camera on the back of this new model, but they list six new case lines on their website. Some of those cases sport “hand straps” however, suggesting that it will have a camera.

Following up on rumors that the new model might be delayed, Pocket-lint managed to get a Riverdale New Jersey Walmart to comment that they were expecting the “newer” iPod touch models at the “end of the month.”

You have your choice of iPhone/iPod battery packs, but Kensington has thrown one in with its new $70 charging dock. The Kensington Charging Dock with Mini Battery Pack comes with its own mini battery that will charge next to your iPhone or iPod, so you will never be short on precious juice.

According to Kensington, it will give you an extra 30 hours of music or 6 hours of video on an 3rd generation iPod Nano, and an extra 3 hours of talk time on your iPhone.

According to a new report, Apple may be planning to add camera functionality to a couple of its next-generation iPod models. The report also claims that upcoming iPhones will retain the handsets’ existing size and form factor.

Hardmac, the English-language version of France’s MacBidouille, cites that Apple’s new line of iPod touch and iPod nano players, when launched in September of this year, will have video recording capabilities. While a compact iPod nano with a built-in camera seems foolish, we try to keep an open mind around here.

Who doesn’t love iPod? Okay, before we get into an all-out brawl, let’s say that question was rhetorical. But whether you love or hate Apple’s ubiquitous MP3 player, you can’t deny that it’s everywhere these days. With the new 4th Gen iPod Nano, things get even more exciting. The new design allows for a larger viewing screen for movies, photos, and Coverflow, without the wideness of the previous generation. Apple also switches up their usual pricing standards with this generation, offering a 8GB model in all colors for $150, and a 16GB model at their usual price of $200.

The new Genius feature claims to find songs in your library that go together, and groups them for you, taking all the work out of creating playlists. Of course, the shuffle feature may undo all of that work. When shaken, the iPod switches to shuffle mode… so let’s hope you don’t move too much when you jog, or your exercise playlist may suddenly switch to slow jams. Luckily, this feature is one that can be disabled if you’re not interested in using it.

In this economy it takes a special kind of douche to buy all kinds of gold covered gadgets and then proclaim himself the new Goldfinger. That’s right, now that your golden parachute has landed you safely in your mansion where the villagers can’t burn you with their torches it’s time to lose yourself in some quiet music and dream up another scam.

Good thing the new iPod Touch and 4th gen Nano come in 24ct and 18ct white gold now. The Nano starts at £349 while the second generation Touch starts at £449. Now where did that diamond studded USB drive get to? Ah, of course. It’s on your Swarovski encrusted crapper next to your blinged out TP holder.

Here’s an updated version of that iPhone Bike Mount we showed you in April that has probably sent some people to the hospital by now. The iBikeConsole device is mounted on your bike in pretty much the same way and will let you control your 1st, 2nd or 3rd generation iPod Nano without moving your hands away from the grips, which is a bonus because that feature will surely keep you alive longer.

It’s about time they came up with something that makes it all the more desirable to knock you off your bike and steal it, because that old bell on your handlebars just wasn’t hip enough. There have been a ton of rumors about the new redesigned iPods. But wait, there’s more. MacRumors and Ars Technica are both saying that we’ll be seeing the new iPods on September 9th. No specific details, but new nanos are a part of it, along with a rumored subscription service and maybe even a new iPod touch at a new lower price. We’ll see.

We told you the other day about how Kevin Rose had some “news” that a new iPod nano is coming. A slimmer longer sexier device. Not exactly hard evidence, but there are some new developments.

These two case-related designs are supposedly destined for Apple’s next PMP. News is that Chinese accessory-maker Beelan has a silicon sleeve ready to ship through Alibaba, and iDealsChina has renders of the 4th gen nano as well as another case from an unknown Canadian company. Neither design can be confirmed what with the fact that they appeared on the heels of the Rose rumor, but who knows. What do you think?

Accordng to iLounge, this year’s iPod nano will have a larger screen than the current generation offers and will be more like a Zune. It will have the same 1.5:1 widescreen aspect ratio that the iPhone and iPod touch enjoys.

Something obviously needs to be done to fit that screen in right? That’s why they are giving it the shape of the older models, which will seem really weird at first glance. It seems like a step backwards, upping the size, but what they are after is usability.

Alesis has come out with a product recently that takes advantage of the popularity and significant storage capacity available in the Apple iPods with a new digital stereo recorder that integrates with the media player. The ProTrack Stereo Handheld Recorder has sleds built into the design to securely dock your iPod inside and use it to store and playback digital audio recordings.

The ProTrack comes with two built-in stereo condenser microphones to pick up ambient sound, or you can plug in external mics or line-in audio sources to the 1/4-inch jacks. The recorder, like the iPod itself, is truly portable and runs up to five hours on four AAA batteries and can fall back on an AC power adapter if needed. They’ve even included a threaded mount on the bottom to hold it steady with things like a camera tripod.

Kensington seems to have been storing up on new product releases for notebook computers. The computer accessories maker yesterday unveiled some 24 new products across several notebook accessory related categories.

Highlights of this new product line up include a device for sharing USB devices between computers, wireless mice, notebook locks, column mount monitor arms and cases. We’ve provided more details on these new Kensington offerings via its press release after the jump.

It’s the one board game that everyone knows. Probably because we’re all greedy and love to buy property and collect money everytime someone lands on it. Well, if the board game version isn’t quite doing it for you anymore, an iPod version can now be downloaded from iTunes for $4.99.

How it plays out on such a small screen I have no idea. It was created by Electronic Arts, and uses the iPod’s click wheel to let you roll dice and buy, sell an trade properties, and build houses and hotels. It will run on iPod nano third-generation, iPod classic and fifth-generation iPods only.

Creative has launched a new addition to it’s line of portable speakers with the TravelSound for the iPod nano. This one-piece speaker attaches to the docking port of Apple’s nano and pumps out the sound to share with others. This new TravelSound speaker appears very similar to the TravelSound i50 that we saw last fall for the iPod nano, and the design is no doubt inspired by it.

The new TravelSound portable speaker is relatively small and lets the 3rd generation nano fit right into the design giving it an overall thickness of less than an inch with 3.9 inches in total height. It also comes with a little plastic stand, and if you can keep from losing it since it’s not attached, will provide a safer rest for the speaker with your iPod in it.

We’ve seen a number of waterproof solutions that allow you to take your iPod safely on the beach or in the shower but the Icebar V2 combination case may be the best one we’ve seen yet (and the most expensive). The case provides a waterproof housing for you iPod nano and built-in waterproof speakers for places where it’s inconvenient to use headphones.

The case does have a port for headphones if you’d rather keep your tunes personal, and also has a click-wheel membrane to give complete control of the iPod through the case. The body is made of a shatter-proof polycarbonate which allows you to easily see the iPod display, but just be case the case is shatterproof doesn’t mean the iPod you put inside is.

This morning the Apple Store was down for a little while which usually means they’re bringing on some new stuff. When it came back up we noticed a new Pink iPod nano as the latest addition in the lineup of the 3rd generation players. The new pink model is an 8GB version (4GB only comes in silver) and retails the same as the other 8GB models for $199. Apple is also offering two lines of free engraving on the back and 24 hours shipping so you can get your pink iPod in plenty of time for Valentines day.
