Lenovo is now finally ready to get specific about a launch date for their upcoming LePad tablet, which was first announced back in June 2010. The tablet will ship in China in March before making its global debut in June.

However Lenovo is keeping the final specs quiet for now as well as which countries will be first to get it. We also don’t have a price yet. We do know that when we last saw it, it was sporting Android 2.2 with a custom “LeOS” skin, a 1.3GHz Snapdragon processor and 10.1-inch 1280 x 800 pixel display.

Netgear has announced that it is now shipping the N300 Wireless ADSL2+ modem router. The device is basically a DSL modem with an integrated 802.11n wireless WiFi router. The feature that you will appreciate the most is that it has failover if DSL goes down.

The failover function is thanks to a 3G USB modem that you can plug into an attached USB port. When DSL is out the 3G modem kicks on automatically and once the router detects that your DSL is back the 3G modem stops.

We now have official word on the Xoom’s pricing thanks to Motorola CEO Sanjay Jha. Reuters is reporting a price of $799 for the 32GB Honeycomb tablet when bought with 3G (which will be upgraded to 4G) from Verizon without subsidies, while a WiFi-only version will cost only $600.

That price is in line with the 32GB iPad, but the 3G Xoom is $70 more expensive than the Apple alternative. We don’t know when those models will be available, but rumor is that pre-orders or reservations could begin as early as tomorrow, with the tablet launching in full next Thursday.

Motorola’s successor to its Android-powered Droid X has now been spotted in pictures, looking a lot like the current version of the Droid X. If this leak is accurate, you can expect the phone to hit Verizon’s network and it will only support 3G.

It hasn’t gotten an official confirmation yet, but some specifications could include a 1GHz dual-core Tegra 2 chip, 1GB of RAM, 4.3-inch 540 x 960 pixel resolution display, 8-megapixel camera and Android 2.2 Froyo.

Sony has introduced a new range of OLED monitors that in 17″ and 25″ sizes. You can expect professional hyper accurate color reproduction and perfect image quality without motion blur on fast speed objects. The OLED TVs will come in a super slim aluminum body that looks good.

They measure just 148mm in depth and feature HDMI, DisplayPort, 3G-SDI, SD-SDI and HD-SDI. They will be arriving in Japan on May 25th and in July. The 25″ and 17″ models will be expensive, but we don’t have a price yet.

NEC has just announced the LifeTouch Note, an Android powered netbook that comes with Android 2.2 Froyo and features a 7 inch LCD resistive touchscreen display and a QWERTY keyboard. The NEC LifeTouch Note also includes an NVIDIA Tegra 250 2-core 1GHz processor, 8GB of built in storage, and a two megapixel camera.

The NEC LifeTouch Note also features 802.11 b/g WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, GPS, an SDHC card slot, a USB 2.0 port, and 3G connectivity.

Apple announced the new MacBook air back in October, which means we will likely see the 2011 MacBook Air around October of this year, and now it looks like the 2011 MacBook Air may come with 3G. The news comes from Apple conducting a survey among its MacBook Air customers and asking them questions about how much they use 3G, data syncing and more.

So it is looking like Apple is seriously considering putting 3G into the 2011 MacBook Air, which would be great news to many users. I wonder if Apple will also put 3G into the 2011 MacBook Pro’s. We’d love to see that.

Russian-based iRU has introduced their latest all-in-one desktop PC, the iRU AIO. This All-In-One is powered by either a 2.4GHz Intel Core i3-370 or 2.53GHz Intel Core i5-460 processor and will save some space on your desktop.

It features a 21.5-inch 1920 x 1080 Full HD display, an integrated graphics card (Core i3-370), a 512MB NVIDIA GeForce G310 graphics card (Core i5-460), up to 4GB RAM, up to 1TB hard drive, a webcam, a DVD writer and it runs either Windows 7 or MeeGo OS.

We now have more details on the availability and pricing for BlackBerry’s PlayBook. Looks like it will be available at Office Depot for $499.99 and in “week 17” which means about the last week of April. The PlayBook will have 16 GB of storage, wifi and is capable of 3G speeds when connected to a Blackberry phone.

The pricing is on par with Apple’s iPad, but RIM will want to get the PlayBook out as soon as possible since Apple’s iPad 2 is coming.

Here’s another Android tablet from Pioneer Computers Australia. The DreamBook ePad 7 Pro features a 1.2GHz ARM dual-core processor, a 7-inch 480 x 800 multi-touch display, and a 0.3-megapixel camera.

Other features include 256MB RAM, 2GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot (up to 32GB), an accelerometer sensor, 3G (optional), GPS (optional), WiFi, 2x USB 2.0 ports and Android 2.2 Froyo is running the show.

Sony’s next PlayStation Portable is codenamed NGP and will be based on five key concepts: Revolutionary User Interface, Social Connectivity, Location-based Entertainment, Converging Real and Virtual (augmented) Reality. It will be compatible with the PlayStation Suite and is backwards-compatible with downloadable PSP games and content.

It has a quad-core ARM Cortex-A9 processor, 5-inch touchscreen OLED display with 960 x 544 resolution, dual analog sticks, 3G, WiFi, GPS, a rear-mounted touchpad, accelerometer / gyroscope motion sensing, an electronic compass, and cameras on the front and back. Expect it to be available this holiday season.

We have some more PSP2 rumors today. Nikkei believes that Sony’s new handheld will have a data-only 3G connection allowing an always-on way to play multiplayer games or access the PlayStation Store. The connection would come from NTT DoCoMo in Japan and maybe other carriers.

We don’t have any info on how pricing would work. Discounted 3G rates could be the ticket here. Users might get a free but small amount of data every month and pay extra only when they need to expand the amount of data they use. In other news, the handheld’s touchscreen is now AMOLED rather than the expected LCD. Is that realistic though? Maybe not. AMOLED’s chief supplier Samsung is still facing production shortages that would keep it from large-scale AMOLED production until later in 2011.

The Microsoft online store is now taking pre-orders for ASUS’ Windows-based tablet, the Eee Slate EP121. The tablet is selling for $1,099 and if you have the scratch, it will start shipping on January 24th. The Eee Slate EP121 sports a 12.1-inch capacitive multitouch display, a 1.33GHz Intel Core i5-U470 processor, and 4GB of RAM.

Some other features include 32GB or 64GB of storage, a card reader, a 2.0-megapixel webcam, WiFi, Bluetooth, a mini-HDMI port and comes pre-loaded with Windows 7 Home Premium.

Samsung will update it’s Chat series phone with a QWERTY addition called the Chat 350. This phone is heavily influenced by the chunky Samsung Champ 3300. They are both thick.

Some specs include a 4 inch QVGA touchscreen display (No OLED), Quad-band GSM connectivity without 3G, Bluetooth 2.1, music player, FM radio, 2MP camera, and MicroSD card support. It looks pretty lame as thick as it is. No word yet on pricing and availability.

A tipster sent some internal renders of HP / Palm’s “Topaz” webOS tablet to the folks over at Engadget, which is one of two tablets currently developed by HP/Palm. The two tablets are the 9-inch Topaz and a 7-inch model codnamed Opal. As you can see in the render, it sports the no-button design, a front-facing camera, a micro USB port on the bottom, and what looks like a three speaker arrangement.

Word is that units will start to arrive at Palm HQ in June, with a launch later this year. The WiFi-only, AT&T 3G, and Verizon LTE versions of the Opal should arrive in September 2011, and on AT&T LTE in July 2012. No info on pricing yet.
