Acer Predator G5910 Gaming System

Acer has unveiled their new Predator G5910 gaming system which can be equipped with a 2nd Generation Intel Core Processor with H67 Chipset. Processor options include either a K series Intel Core i7 or Core i5 CPU which can be overclocked. The system will use the Intel Extreme Tuning Utility (IXTU) to fine tune your system for peak performance.

The Acer GD245HQ 3D monitor would go nicely with this system since it has NVIDIA 3D Vision and a pair of shutter glasses as well as optional Blu-ray drive.

AndyPad Android 2.3 Gingerbread Tablet

Joining the countless number of other tablets on the market, Andy Pad will launch a new Android tablet in August. The device features a 7-inch touchscreen display, Google Android 2.3 Gingerbread, a 1.2GHz A8 processor and a 3D graphics chip.

Other features include an HDMI out, a USB port, a 3.5mm audio jack and a micro SD card slot. The AndyPad Android tablet will retail for £129 or about $208 when it arrives. Sure it isn’t Apple or HP, but it’s nice to have options.

Westinghouse announces its first 3D HDTV

Westinghouse is now finally ready for 3D, with the 47-inch W47S2TCD. It comes with four included pairs of 3D glasses, a passive 1080p 3D display, 3:2 pulldown, three-way selectable color temperature, and a backlight enhancement tool called DayBright.

But that’s not all. They are also unveiling five other TVs and one of them is a connected TV: the 46-inch WC-4625T which has access to Netflix and Vudu. The 47-inch 3D TV will be available at Best Buy, Costco, and Target for $1199.

ASUS G74 gaming laptop available for pre-order

The ASUS G74 comes in two configurations, which both include a quad-core Core i7-2630QM CPU, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560M graphics with 3GB of video memory, 12GB DDR3 RAM (out of 16GB), dual 750GB 7200RPM drives, a 1080p display, Blu-ray player, backlit keyboard, and a USB 3.0. socket (along with three 2.0).

The G74SX-A1 is $1,745. There’s also a $1,979 version with a 3D display, called the G74SX-3DE. You can pre-order them now.

DXG-018 3D pocket camera

The DXG-018 3D pocket camera will allow you to create your own viewmaster like 3D content. Think of it as a modern day viewmaster in camera form. For $69.99, the DXG-018 3D pocket camera comes in five different colors: pink, lavender, orange, green and yellow.

The DXG-018 is a dual-lens 3D camera that saves pictures onto an SD memory card. Then they can be printed as side-by-side images with dotted lines so you can cut them, fitting them to size in the included 3D cardboard viewers. Then just slide them into the viewer for a 3D experience.

iFixit CEO strips a Sony Bloggie 3D

Sony got iFixit.com CEO Kyle Wiens to do a teardown of the new Bloggie 3D mini camcorder. While this one is a bit on the boring side, you still get an eyeful of all the bits and pieces that make up the pocket 3D video camera.

It is mostly just all the parts laid out and some close-ups of them. It basically amounts to a clever marketing video on Sony’s part with the help of ifixit. Have a look at the link below and you’ll see what I mean.

Nintendo sells millionth 3DS unit in Japan

A million in Japanese sales is pretty awesome, but even Satoru Iwata admits that the 3DS isn’t doing quite as well as they had hoped. It took a little while but Nintendo’s 3DS handheld hit the million mark after 13 weeks, which is a long time compared to the original dual-screen handheld, which accomplished this in four.

In comparison, the PSP sold its first million in about seven weeks. The 3DS could still hit the top spot, but remember, the PlayStation Vita is coming. They should be scared.

T-Mobile G-Slate Now Just $399.99 With Contract

T-Mobile has lowered the price of the G-Slate Android tablet to $399.99 with a 2-year contract and after a $200 mail-in rebate. Not bad right? If you were thinking about getting one, now is the time.

You might remember that the G-Slate features an 8.9-inch 1280 x 768 3D-capable touchscreen display, a 1GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual-core processor, a front-facing 2.0-megapixel camera, two 3D rear cameras, 32GB of internal storage, a gyroscope sensor, 1080p Full HD video playback support, GPS, WiFi, an HDMI port, a 6400mAh battery and Android 3.0 Honeycomb is running the show.

JVC DT-3D24G1 3D WUXGA Monitor With 3D RealD Glasses

The latest excuse to sell you on wearing dorky 3D glasses is the JVC DT-3D24G1 3D WUXGA Monitor which comes with said glasses. JVC’s new DT-3D24G1 24-inch 3D WUXGA monitor is said to offer excellent image quality and a robust design.

The monitor produces a 1920 x 1200 resolution, a 1,000:1 contrast ratio and a 16:10 aspect ratio. The JVC DT-3D24G1 will hit Japan next month. Each purchase comes with a free 3D RealD glasses. Do you want one or are you tired of 3D?

Red Flare 3DS, new Wii package headed for Japan

Nintendo has something new to add to it’s 3DS lineup. A new ‘Red Flare’ handheld that will hit Japan next month. This red 3DS will retail for ¥25,000 (about $312) when it hits Japanese stores on July 14th.

The company is also planning a new Wii bundle on June 23rd, which will have two Wii Remote Plus controllers (one in black or white, one in blue) with Wii Sports Resort software, for ¥20,000 (around $250). We don’t know if these will be coming our way anytime soon.

Sony VAIO L all-in-one

The VAIO L all-in-one is a 3D Tv and a Desktop PC. It features a 24-inch 3D multitouch display, a Blu-ray player, a bezel with built-in touch controls, 1080p HD playback, USB 3.0, and an HDMI port.

The system will be available on July 13th for around $1,420, and for that price you also get a wireless keyboard and mouse and one pair of active shutter 3D glasses. Sounds like a good set for your PS3.

Nyko unveils new accessories for Kinect and 3DS

Nyko has unveiled some new gaming gear. Zoom for Kinect is a pair of clip-on glasses that lets you get 40 percent closer to the sensor bar with no loss of function. Then there’s Nyko’s Play Clock, a charging dock for Nintendo’s 3DS that also functions as an alarm clock.

Nyko also introduced a trio of new extended battery packs for the 3DS. There’s the Shock n’ Rock that brings three times the juice, “added vibration feedback,” and four speakers. The Power Grip is an ergonomic external battery that also triples the 3DS’ battery life. The Game Boost battery snaps on for an extra hour or two of life. Prices and availability remain unknown for now.

Sony VAIO Z21 ultralight arrives early in Europe

Four store listings at Italian online shop F2F have leaked Sony’s plans for an upgraded VAIO Z in Europe. All of them will feature Sandy Bridge Core processors, very fast SSD storage, fingerprint readers, and built-in 3G. Sounds good and the HDMI has also been upgraded to put out 3D video, but that’s not all. The webcam uses the low-light Exmor sensor technology.

The base system will cost you $2,648 equivalent price but with a 2.3GHz Core i5, 4GB of RAM, and a 128GB SSD mated to the Z series’ signature 13.1-inch, 1600×900 display. Of course once you get up to 2.7GHz Core i7 and 256GB SSDs it gets much more expensive at $3,584.

Nintendo 3DS June 6 update: free Excitebike, Pokedex 3D

Good news for 3DS owners. When you get the June 6 update for the 3DS, along with the browser and eShop, you’ll also get free copies of a 3D-upgraded Excitebike and a new Pokedex 3D. The new app shows collected Pokemon characters in 3D and even supports augmented reality markers to show them in 3D in a ‘real’ environment. As real as it can get anyway.

The update also gives you the ability to port over most DSiWare games from older systems to a 3DS and the ability to download short 3D videos, like music videos, comedy, or movie trailers.
