3D may be all the rage, but 4D is better and more practical. At least when it comes to watch design anyway. Forget having to lift your arm in order to tell the time on this watch. You don’t even need to bother. Your arms are probably flabby anyway. This 4D concept watch can display the time based on gravity or depending on the head position of the person whose wrist it’s on.

All you need to do is look down at your wrist and you’ll be able to see the time. Soon you won’t have any arm muscles at all. The two buttons on the side of the display control the functions of the watch.

Rumors that the LG G-Slate would go 3D seem to have been confirmed by a Korean music video. Seungri’s clip for “What Can I Do” shows the device for the first time outside of a press event. It appears to show the dual cameras that would be needed for shooting 3D video. Earlier rumors had suggested a glasses-free 3D display and that seems to be the case.

A recent FCC filing which shows two holes on the back also supports that it has 3D. Other details are the front camera, HDMI and micro USB ports and an optional stand. The G-Slate should be based on NVIDIA’s Tegra 2 and have Android 3.0 on the 8.9-inch 1280×720 screen and 1080p video when using the HDMI output.

Toshiba is launching a 3D notebook just like everybody else, with the Launch of the Toshiba Dynabook T441/D8B, which is one of the companies first 3D notebooks. The Toshiba dynabook 3D features a 15.6 inch LCD display with a resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels, an Intel Core i7 2630QM 2GHz processor and a 1GB NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M graphics card.

Other specifications include 8GB of DDR3 RAM, a 750GB hard drive, a 0.3 megapixel web camera, one USB 3.0 port and three USB 2.0 ports. It also features HDMI, Ethernet, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi and it will come with Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit.

We know that you can’t wait for the Nintendo 3DS. Good news Nintendo fans. You can now pre-order the device on Amazon. It won’t be long until you are playing 3D games without glasses and connecting to other 3DS gamers online.

It will be launched in Europe on March 25 and the US on March 27. 30 games will be available at launch. You can buy it on Amazon at $249.99, but they are limiting the order to one console per household until the launch date.

We finally have the US launch details of the Nintendo 3DS. The price is $249.99 and the release date is March 27, while Europeans will get it on March 25. Nintendo says that “30+” games will be available in the US during the launch, with more than 25 in Europe.

Europeans will have some exclusive 3D video content like sports footage and episodes of Shaun the Sheep. Not sure if we are getting anything exclusive or not. We will know soon enough.

BenQ has two new monitors, the EW2430 and EW2430V. Both feature a 24-inch HD panel that uses LED backlighting and vertical alignment (VA) technology, along with a native contrast ratio of 3,000:1 and eight-bit color, two HDMI ports, D-Sub, and DVI.

The EW2430V features “smart focus” highlighting, image resolution upconversion, 20,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, and picture-in-picture. There’s also 3D deinterlacing and noise reduction. No info on pricing yet for these two, but they will arrive first in Europe and the Asia Pacific later this month.

Just like when Avatar came out in theaters, there are reports of Nintendo 3DS users feeling ill after using the new 3DS console in Japan. Some user have reported feeling sick after just a couple of minutes using the console.

As you probably know, the Nintendo 3DS features a glasses free 3D display, and Nintendo has recommended that it be used only by children over 6 years old and that the 3D time be limited. We aren’t sure yet if these are just isolated incidents, but it will be interesting to see how many users have the same problem when it goes on sale. Maybe everyone will be cross-eyed ten years from now.

3D TVs are gaining in popularity, but it will take time for many to adopt it. Regular 3D TV, which requires glasses might be embraced more if…well if you ditch the glasses. They are nerdy and expensive. That’s why Sansa is offering Universal 3D glasses. I mean, what if you buy a 3D TV and you lose the glasses? Or they break?

Well, Sansa’s 3D glasses will recognize 3D signals coming in from any 3D TV. The glasses cost $100 a pair. Still expensive, but at least they work across the board. They recharge via a USB cable and can be purchased in 3 different sizes, small, medium and large and they even come with a nose piece if you wear spectacles.

The Sony MHS-FS3 3D Bloggie Touch Camera was unveiled at CES 2011 is now available for pre-order. It features a 2.4″ LCD touchscreen and an LED light for taking photographs in low-light situations. With this camera, you can capture 2D or 3D videos which you can play on Sony Bravia 3D HDTVs or the new VAIO F3D laptop.

You can also quickly upload pictures and videos to Facebook, YouTube, Flickr, and Picasa through the USB cable. Great if you are sharing photos constantly. You can find it on Amazon for $249.99.

Disney Mobile will be unveiling a new range of Disney smartphones that your kids will definitely want. They will actually be rebranded Sharp Galapagos 003SH phones, that have 3D screens that don’t require special glasses, not brand new models.

Some features of these kid friendly phones include 3.8″ 3D-displays, a 9.6 megapixel camera, and Android 2.2. They will also come with a special @disney.ne.jp MMS address, Disney home screens, apps, widgets, emoticons and specially designed covers. No info on pricing yet, but they will be available in February.

Despite it’s name, the PSP-3DBar from Princeton is not a 3D soundbar for your Sony PlayStaion Portable. It’s just a plain old 3D soundbar, which uses Trident melody audio technology to produce a virtual Surround system, whether you have a PSP or not.

The Princeton PSP-3DBar is great for a small home theater setup and a multimedia computer. You can also connect it to a DAP or an MP3 player with the usual 3.5mm audio cable.

In a recent interview about the 3DS, Shigeru Miyamoto revealed that the company wants to include 3D video in the future. Obviously that’s no guarantee that this feature will be added to the handheld’s 3D camera, but we might just find ourselves shooting low-res 3D video with the 3DS at some point in the future if all goes well.

I don’t know about you, but I would rather have them concentrate on battery life, so we can play for longer.

Want proof that 3D has jumped the shark? Are we still saying that? Whatever. Look, supermodels in bikinis are fine just how they are. There’s no need to add 3D. Even if they were naked, 3D would not improve it. But Sports Illustrated thinks it is a good idea.(or they actually know better, but are going to embrace the trend to sell issues)

SI plans to sell and rent special 3D video content that ties in with its annual swimsuit issue. The content will be available to customers who have new Sony Bravia HDTVs that are 3D-capable, and a PS3 or qualified Blu-ray player running Qriocity’s rental service. You could buy it for $8, or rent it for $5. Or just choose not to be a sucker.

3D is still the in thing for manufacturers and now Fujitsu Japan is planning to offer another 3D item. The ESPRIMO FH/99CM desktop computer features a naked-eye 3D display, with the screen measuring in at 23-inches and it supports Full HD resolutions.

It should be available over in Japan starting February 25th for $3,100. Some specs include: A Blu-ray drive (3D Blu-ray support), Core i7-2630QM (2.00GHz) CPU, Intel H65 Express chip set, 4GB memory, 2TB HDD, IEEE 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, Gigabit Ethernet, 2x USB 3.0 ports, four USB 2.0 ports and Windows 7 Home Premium (64bit).

Man, it’s been quite the week for gadget teardowns. Seems like half the world must have their tables littered with parts. Now it is the Nintendo 3DS’s turn. Looks like a unit has prematurely left Nintendo’s care only to suffer a terrible fate.
