Sony introduces NV-U3DV Nav-U GPS navigation deviceSony’s new NV-U3DV navigation system should turn a few heads with its large 6.1-inch screen. But that’s not the only thing it has going for it. It sports a 480×272 resolution which will give you bigger buttons and more map space, along with some other unique features like Position+ G, which uses an accelerometer, gyro-sensor, and pressure sensors which help it figure out the direction of the vehicle.

Aside from those features, it has all the usual stuff, even mobile TV in Japan, live traffic information, and various guides from PetaMap. No word on a release in the states just yet, but those in Japan can pick one up in August for around $700.

V-Screen brings 3D to your PSP

Posted in PSP by Conner Flynn on July 22nd, 2009

V-Screen brings 3D to your PSPRealView Innovations is adding some much needed depth to PSP games this holiday season, with the V-Screen. The device “enhances the perceived depth of the 2D screen image.” So, we are guessing that it’s sort of like a pair of fancy 3d glasses that you set over your PSP instead wearing them.

Just realize that your PSP will no longer be so portable. It looks like this won’t require you to get right up to the PSP, so you shouldn’t look like Spock on the Enterprise bridge. Apparently it works with many games as well.

New LG Chocolate BL40 on video, crazy long design

Posted in LG by Conner Flynn on July 13th, 2009

New LG Chocolate BL40 on video, crazy long designHere’s a very legit looking promo video for the company’s new Chocolate. It looks pretty awesome. Apparently the rumored 21:9 800 x 345 display is real. There’s also a nice Flash-based 3D UI, multitouch, AGPS, WiFi, 7.2Mbps HSDPA, and a scratch-proof glass screen.

It’s surprisingly thin too, even with all that. Can the masses handle something of such length? Or is it too long? We shall see.
