Samsung H1 also has a Pizza Hut appSamsung’s 360 H1 is now available from Vodafone UK. One of the more interesting features is that it will be getting a Pizza Hut application very soon, allowing you to order pizza directly from the phone. Just like with your iPhone.

The application will bill the order directly to your phone bill, so be careful. You don’t want to leave your phone lying around so your friends can order pizza. Orders up to £30 are accepted and you’ll get a 20% discount each time.

Walmart selling $200 Xbox 360 this weekend with free $100 Gift CardRumors have been swirling for the past couple of days, and it looks like the rumors were real. This weekend, Walmart is kicking off their pre-Black Friday deals, including a $199 Xbox 360 Arcade that comes with a free $100 gift card. That basically drops the price to $100.

Netflix streaming hitting Nintendo Wii next

wii-sb1It’s not rocket science. First it was Microsoft’s Xbox 360, then the PlayStation 3. Now Netflix’s “Watch Instantly” is coming to Nintendo’s Wii. At least that’s what the word is, according to StreamingMedia, who has an undisclosed source that has confirmed that Nintendo is currently testing Netflix streaming on the Wii. And that it will be available “very soon.”

Hopefully that means before the holidays, but it could mean anything. If you have a Wii, you are used to waiting anyway. Waiting for better games, waiting for a better storage option, waiting for something better than 480p…

Samsung unveils new monitors for PC with TV tuners

My iPhone can act as a MP3 player and a MID in addition to making calls and I would like it if my normal monitor could do other tasks as well. Samsung has announced a pair of new LCDs called the 933HD and the 2333HD that work for your computer and work as normal TVs too.

The 933HD is a 19-inch unit selling for $249.99. The 2333HD is a 23-inch unit selling for $329.99. Both displays have integrated TV tuners, 10000:1 contrast ratio, and 5ms response times. Both of the screens also have stereo speakers.

X-Arcade finally supports Xbox 360

xarcadexbox360If you are an Xbox 360 owner who has been wishing that those fantastic X-Arcade controllers that PC and PS3 gamers have been able to enjoy for a long time worked on your console you are in luck. X-Arcade has finally announced that its controllers will work with the Xbox 360.

A new adapter called the X-Arcade PS2 to Xbox 360 adapter is now available that will let you use the X-Arcade Solo, Dual, or Tankstick with the Xbox. Strangely, it appears the adapter is an adapter for an adapter since you must have the PS2 adapter to play on the Xbox 360.

Netflix Streaming coming soon to PS3You’ve been praying for it and now at long last Netflix streaming will be available “later this year” on the PS3. Just like the Xbox 360, it will be free with the $8.99-a-month plan. But with the PS3, you’ll enable Netflix via an “instant streaming Blu-ray disc.”

The free disc will activate Netflix via BD-Live. You’ll have to load up the disc every time you want to use Netflix for now. You’ll be able to order movies and do all of the other stuff right on screen without having to do it on your computer first.

Microsoft squashes Blu-ray dreams for Xbox fans

xboxlive-sbMicrosoft CEO Steve Ballmer is known to talk about things and then Microsoft has to come back and clarify what he has said. Ballmer had another senior moment yesterday when was allegedly got confused when asked a question about Blu-ray on the Xbox 360.

Ballmer’s comments lead many to believe that Blu-ray accessories were coming for the Xbox 360. Major Nelson reports today that Ballmer was referring to Blu-ray accessories for the PC in his comments and there are no plans to add Blu-ray to the Xbox 360.

PS3, Xbox 360 price drops coming this fall?Microsoft chief Steve Ballmer may have inadvertently tipped off some plans for an external Blu-ray drive for the Xbox 360. He’s doubtful that it will ever be built-in but he tells Gizmodo that an external Blu-ray drive will be an option. He doesn’t go into detail but is unexpectedly confident that the hardware is enroute.

Company spokespeople asked about it wouldn’t confirm or deny, but do say that immediate plans focus on 1080p streaming video through the upcoming Zune Video Marketplace on the Xbox.

Sony PrototypeLike everyone else, right now Sony has a thing for 3D. They have big plans for putting the technology into your living room as soon as possible. The first application will be applied to the flat screen TV, but Sony is looking at all kinds of other ways to bring you glorious 3D. Take this small prototype for instance.

This thing will be revealed at Tokyo’s Digital Content EXP0 2009 on Thursday. It’s a 13 x 27-cm device with a stereoscopic, 24-bit color image measuring just 96 × 128 pixels, viewable at 360-degrees without special glasses. If this prototype ever becomes a reality, Sony sees its commercial use in digital signage or medical imaging and of course, as a 3D photo frame.

Samsung’s first 'Plus' memory cards up to 16GB to be announcedSamsung has announced that they are finally taking the leap and making their memory cards available for the consumer market. They will be available in SD, microSD and Compact Flash formats. These cards will be in the ‘Plus’ memory card class and compliant with the Secure Digital class 6 performance standards.

The cards will be available in 4GB, 8GB and 16GB varieties, with speeds from 17 Mbps to 45 Mbps. You’ll be able to get them very soon if you’ve been hankering to use the Samsung brand.

Samsung launches LD220G and LD190G displays for laptops

samsungld220gOne of the worst parts about working on a laptop for an extended period at your desk is that the laptop tends to have a much smaller screen than your average desktop computer. Samsung offered some external LCDs aimed at laptop users in Korea earlier this year called the LD220 and LD190.

Today Samsung announced that the LD220G and the LD190N LCDs were available in America. The monitors are 22-inches and 19-inches respectively and have a stand that leans more like you find on a digital photo frame than your typical LCD. The 220G connects to the notebook via USB and has a built-in USB hub.

Roundshot Livecam D2 HD has two times 1080p resolution

roundshot-sbThere are several makers of webcams that have been producing cams with HD resolutions for a while now. Among the companies are Logitech and Microsoft. For some uses HD resolution may not be enough and for these businesses, a company called Seitz Phototechnik has unveiled the new Roundshot Livecam D2 HD.

The camera has the capability of making full 360-degree panoramic video of a scene and can be used by hotels and resorts to show off their location and amenities. The camera has a whopping 66 million pixels and can shoot at night.
