Xbox 360 Toaster

Posted in DIY by Conner Flynn on January 2nd, 2011

I’ve always wanted to rip the guts out of a four-slice toaster and replace them with an Xbox 360. Luckily for me, now I don’t have to do it as someone else has done it for me. You may not be able to enjoy breakfast anymore with this mod, but you’ll be able to play CoD: Black Ops in the kitchen.

It is the work of modder ncaruso11, aka (akatheguy2) and it is dubbed the XToaster360. Best kitchen appliance ever. COD is way better than toast anyway.

Microsoft says Xbox 360 faceplates were a failure

Posted in Xbox 360 by Conner Flynn on December 16th, 2010

Microsoft’s Albert Penello, in an interview by the British Official Xbox Magazine, admitted that although “faceplates were what everybody wanted to do” five years ago, they pretty much fell flat in terms of retail success. Fail!

So Microsoft killed them off pretty quickly. I know that I just want to play a good game myself, I could care less about dressing up my console like some doll. So, which of you guys bought these faceplates anyway?

PS3 to start streaming ITV and Channel 4 in the UK

Posted in PS3 by Conner Flynn on December 13th, 2010

The Guardian is reporting that both ITV and Channel 4, two of the nation’s largest commercial channels, are bringing their video catchup services to the PlayStation 3. The ITV Player and 4OD have had web-based services for some time and now they have both made deals with Sony, who expects their overall traffic to improve by 10 percent.

ITV says they are open to adding their content to “other consoles,” web-connected TVs, and tablets, while Channel 4 has had no luck with Xbox 360 deals and the Wii isn’t for them since it doesn’t support advertising. Sony however is very open to more content and welcomes them.
