Posted in Watches by Conner Flynn on May 19th, 2009

Citizen AIBATO M Bluetooth watch controls your cameraCitizen has announced a new Bluetooth watch, the AIBATO M. What’s interesting about this one is that it wirelessly connects to your cellphone and can, with selected handsets, remotely trigger the camera, browse emails and show call and message alerts. It comes in two colors. Black (with a rubber strap) and silver (with a metal strap).

The watches charge using an included desk-stand. A full battery is good for up to five days. It will give you audio and visual alerts and can even vibrate. Xbox 360 motion-sensing tech really ZCam’s system?

Posted in Xbox 360 by Conner Flynn on May 5th, 2009

Xbox 360 motion-sensing tech really ZCam's system? The other day we told you about the rumors about Microsoft’s Wii-killing, motion-sensing Xbox 360 add-on set to debut at E3. Well, now Ars Technica thinks they’ve played with it a full year ago. Ars thinks that the new Xbox 360 motion sensing system is based on the ZCam 3D camera, made by a company that was later purchased by Microsoft.

If true, it sounds good. Ars was impressed with the tech when they got a hands-on with it back in January of 2008. And Microsoft has had a long time to work with it, so chances are it’s even better now. It makes sense to us, but we’ll have to wait and see what’s what when E3 arrives next month.

Wiimote chocolate bar looks yummyCheck out this Wiimote chocolate candybar. Now you can have your cake and eat it too. Now you can throw your Wiimote at the TV and eat it too. This Wiimote chocolate replica is the product of Digital Chocolates, a company that specializes in making chocolate bars shaped like various game controllers, like the Sony Playstation controller and this Wiimote.

Not only is it delicious, but it’s got some nice detail too. It’s made of Merckens melting candy wafers. I don’t know what those are, but I’m sure they are yummy. They supposedly taste like the white from Hershey’s cookies n’ creme chocolate bars.

Xbox 360 getting full-body motion control?

Posted in Xbox 360 by Conner Flynn on May 3rd, 2009

Xbox 360 getting full-body motion control? There’s a reason that Nintendo’s Wii has dominated this generation of consoles. Here’s a hint. It’s the Wii’s motion-sensing capabilities. Microsoft isn’t blind to this fact. And according to the latest rumor, they’re hard at work on a new system that will let you control games not just with a Wiimote, but with your entire body.

This add-on for the Xbox 360 includes a sensor bar that needs no controllers at all. Think about that for a second. You would be free to punch, kick, put some dude in a headlock etc. Sounds like a dream to us, and we have no idea how it would work, but who knows, maybe we will hear about it at E3 in June.

Video game console x-raysIf you’ve ever broken any bones, then you have likely seen an x-ray of your insides. But I bet you’ve never seen x-rays of your favorite game consoles. Gamers and Doctor Mario types will be happy to know that the Nintendo Wii, Microsoft’s Xbox 360, and Sony’s Playstation 3 (among others) have been x-rayed and are perfectly healthy.

Reintiji uploaded this set of x-rays to Flickr. It’s nerdy, it’s geeky and it’s even damn artistic. There’s some beautiful images in this gallery. Even the simple nunchuk. Wait. Do I see a problem with a torn rotator cuff on it’s analog stick?

THQ has announced that the playable demo is now available for Xbox 360 and PS3 owners to download. To celebrate UFC 97 held last weekend, the demo lets players fight an exhibition match between Chuck Liddell and Mauricio Rua.

At last, a fishing pole controller for the Xbox 360

At last, a fishing pole controller for the Xbox 360I don’t know how many times I’ve been playing a fishing game on the Xbox 360, only to be disappointed that my fish got away due to a crappy fishing pole. Well, no more. Never again will I lose a fish and throw my plastic rod into the TV.

Thanks to “The Strike,” coming this fall, I’ll get “realistic lake bottom topography, life-like fish behaviors” and more. Time to get in some practice with paperclip fish and a magnet on my line. And if you don’t like fishing games, this thing looks quality enough to beat people with.
