Sonic the Hedgehog on the XBox 360

Sonic the Hedgehog on the XBox 360Case mods don’t always have to involve LEDS and intense design work. Sometimes it’s cool just to keep it simple and paint a pretty picture on it. Here, someone took Sonic the Hedgehog and painted him right onto this XBox 360.

This is the kind of limited edition that Microsoft needs to be putting out there. This kind of paint job just gives your console a life of it’s own. I can almost see this Xbox sliding down rails and collecting rings when the owner isn’t home. That explains why the console is so hot when no one is playing it.

Xbox 360 shoved into a PS3 case

Xbox 360 shoved into a PS3 caseLast night we told you about the Wii winning the console wars this holiday season. The Xbox 360 did well too. But nobody wanted the poor PS3. There’s apparently at least one modder who the likes the PS3. The outside of it anyway.

This modder shoved an Xbox 360 into a PS3 case. It wasn’t a perfect fit, with a large hole cut into the front to allow access to the tray. It’s for those gamers who can’t make up their mind and love both consoles along with some neon.

Aftermarket Xbox 360 case, quiet, cool, & fat
Is your Xbox 360 too loud? Is it hot and just too compact for you? The Lian-Li PC-XB01 case mod will let you rest easy. The case is like a silencer for the disc drive thanks to sound-proofing foam. It also has great airflow to keep things chill via a 120mm fan or optional water cooling system.

And if you like a console that’s got some extra cushion for the button pushin’, this case is about four times the size of the 360. No pricing yet, but it should be available this August.

Portable Gaming Solutions will mod your Xbox 360 into a laptop
Let’s say you’re in love with Halo, but always on the go. There’s gotta be some way to get your game on. If only you had a convenient Xbox laptop. Ben Heck is probably to busy to make you one, but you may be in luck. For $550, a shop in Kansas called Portable Gaming Solutions says that they will convert your 360 into a suitcase-sized 15-inch laptop with keyboard and speakers.

It might be taking a chance sending your Xbox to him, but hey we all have to start somewhere. The web site has some images and videos of the mod, so it’s probably cool. We hope. Would anyone take the chance and send their console? I don’t know, but I wish him luck. It may not be the most stylish mod, but I guess it gets the job done. Check out the video below.

Make your Xbox 360 glow neon green

Make your Xbox 360 glow neon greenXbox 360 owners can now make their Xbox glow like depleted uranium, without setting off the geiger counter. In the light of day, the XCM Pearl Glow is translucent so you can see the insides. Turn out the lights and it glows a bright X-Files green.

It replaces the case entirely. You’ll think it’s the 80′s all over again and it will let you know where your console is at all times. If this is your thing and you can’t get enough glow in the dark toys, you can find one at Extreme Mods.

black Ferrari 360 Modena carbon fibre stretch limousine launched as the fastest limo in the worldWe’ve seen some pretty cool limousines in our time (driving by of course, not the inside) but never one quite like this. Usually the folks stretching out a vehicle will do it with something that has a little more girth, giving its passengers a little party room.

In the case with this stretched Ferrari 360 Modena, it appears that the goal might be to ride in more of a sporty (cramped), luxurious style. This limousine has been dubbed the fastest limo in the world and still has those awesome gull-wing style doors, only bigger (9 feet).

Logitech VX Nano Cordless Mouse for notebooksThe Logitech VX Nano mouse is the latest cordless mouse from Logitech targeting notebook users. The Nano part of the name refers does not refer to the actual mouse but to the little USB receiver. Logitech is calling it the “plug and forget” mouse since the receiver plugs into your USB port and only sticks out 8mm, keeping it almost flush with the notebook in many cases. Most USB receivers protrude out quite a bit more requiring you to unplug them when you put your notebook away, but this one could …
