miScroll Android Tablet From Storage Options

Storage Options has launched the miScroll, the latest in their Scroll tablet range. It’s designed for the youth market and can be personalized with interchangeable colorful covers. It sports a 7” 800 x 480, 16:9 resistive touchscreen, runs Android 2.3 and is powered by a 1GHz ARM11 processor supported by 256MB DDR.

It also features a built in 4GB MicroSD card expandable up to 32GB and a 0.3 megapixel camera on the front for video calling, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g and a mini HDMI socket. The built in rechargeable battery will deliver four hours of useful life.

Unlocked iPhone 4 available for $649 in US

Looks like the unlocked iPhone 4 slipped out a day early. In fact it is now available through the Apple Store and is a GSM model only. You can buy the 16GB version for $649.00, while the 32GB version is $749.00.

This is great news since people have been wanting Apple to offer the phone unlocked for some time now. Globally, this is one of the cheaper unlocked iPhones. So, who is going to buy one? Show of hands.

SoCool X7 Android Tablet

Chinese-based SoCool (We can’t vouch for their coolness factor) is showing off their newest Android tablet called the X7. The device sports a 7.0-inch 800 x 480 multi-touch display, a MALI400 GPU, 512MB DDR2 RAM, and 8GB of flash storage.

Other features include a microSD card slot (up to 32GB), 1080p Full HD video playback, WiFi, a mini USB port, an HDMI port, a 3800mAh battery and Android 2.2 OS. No info on pricing or a release date yet.

Toshiba Thrive now available for pre-order

Toshiba has announced June 13th for pre-order availability of the Thrive Android 3.1 tablet. It’s a 10-inch Tegra 2 tablet with 1280 x 800 resolution, dual cameras (5 megapixel on the back, 2 megapixel up front), 1GB of RAM, and a 23WHr battery.

Other features include HDMI, USB 2.0 and SD card slots. You can even swap the Easy Grip back and replace the battery if you like. The 8GB Thrive is $430, while the 16GB unit is $480 and the 32GB is $580. You can order from Toshiba or Amazon, Best Buy or Office Direct, with deliveries expected in mid-July.

PHOTON 4G: Motorola’s first 4G phone for Sprint

Sprint and Motorola have announced the new Motorola PHOTON 4G. It was previously named the Droid X 2 before it was officially announced. This is Motorola’s first 4G phone on Sprint’s WiMAX network.

The PHOTON 4G has some impressive features: a dual-core 1GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, a 4.3″ qHD display, dual cameras, access to the Android Market, Sprint ID compatibility for easy customization, 16GB of memory with an SD card slot for up to an additional 32GB, Worldphone capabilities, and 3G/4G Mobile hotspot capability.

Forget wires. Kingston’s new Wi-Drive is a solid state drive designed to provide wireless storage for smartphones and tablets. It’s equipped with 802.11 Wi-fi. Kingston is promising up to 4 hours of battery life from the internal battery and the Wi-Drive will be able to stream multiple file content to four Apple iPad devices simultaneously.

Toshiba Thrive Android Tablet Arriving On July 10th

Toshiba has revealed the launch date for their Thrive Android tablet. The device will be available on July 10th for $429 for the 8GB Model. The 16GB will cost you $479 and $579 for the 32GB Model.

The Thrive features a 10.1-inch 1280 x 800 touchscreen display, 1GHz Tegra 2 dual-core processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB/16GB/32GB of storage, SD card slot, a 2.0-megapixel front-facing camera, a 5.0-megapixel rear-facing camera, WiFi, Bluetooth, an HDMI port and Android 3.1.

ECS EB-850R Color e-book Reader

The ECS EB-850R color e-book reader is being shown off at Computex 2011 and features an 8-inch (800 x 600) color resistive touchscreen with a Wondermedia 8650 processor, either 256MB or 512MB of RAM and up to 32GB of storage.

Fujitsu Loox F-07C: World’s first ATOM powered Smartphone

Docomo and Fujitsu have introduced the world’s first dual mode PC/Phone running on an Intel ATOM CPU. The F-07C is mostly an ultra compact Tablet like PC with a slide-out QWERTY Keyboard and trackball in an ultra compact body (125x61x19.8mm).

Some features include a 1.2 ATOM CPU, a 4” touchscreen with a 600×1024 resolution, a 5Mp rear camera and a 0.32Mp front camera, 1GB of RAM, 32GB SSD, WIfi BGN, Bluetooth. And a dual Smartphone mode running Symbian.

Fujitsu Loox F-07C Dual Booting Smartphone

A printed brochure from Fujitsu has leaked, showing off the company’s new Loox F-07C smartphone/UMPC. The device can run dual operating systems. Both Windows 7 and Symbian OS. It is also equipped with a 4-inch screen with a resolution of 1024 x 600 and its powered by an Intel Atom Z600 at 1.2GHz and the GPU is an Intel 600 GMA with Direct X 9.0 support.

Onboard storage is a 32GB SSD with an additional SD card slot for expansion to another 32GB. There’s also a full QWERTY keyboard and it measures just 125mm H x 61mm W x 19.8mm.

ASUS Eee Pad Transformer hits US on April 26th

If you have been waiting for the ASUS Eee Pad Transformer, you won’t have much longer to wait. We also now have a price. The 10.1-inch Transformer with its 1280 x 800 IPS panel and 16GB of storage will cost you $399. The 32GB version will cost you $499.

The docking station that almost turns it into a laptop is $150. The device is expected on Tuesday, April 26th. If you already have your money saved, then all you need to do is wait.

Another day, another tablet enters the packed arena. This time it’s a budget-friendly Android tablet from Chinavasion, the Sumixe. This tablet is priced at an affordable $141.33 and features a 7-inch 800 x 480 resistive multitouch display, a 720MHz Telechips 8900 ARM11 processor and 256MB of RAM.

Other features include 4GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot (up to 32GB), a 0.3-megapixel front camera, WiFi, an HDMI port, a built-in 2W speaker, a 3.5mm headset jack, a 1800mAh battery and Android 2.1 is running everything.
