Flexible PSP hand-grip for serious remote gaming

Posted in Games by Darrin Olson on February 8th, 2008

Flexible handgrip controller mount for the Sony PSPJapan’s Vis-a-Vis has a new PSP controller accessories do give you a better grip on your PSP or PSP lite. The “Flexible Hand Grip Pad Advance” mounts onto the back of the PSP to give a hand-hold similar to that of a Dual-Shock controller to avoid any of that cramping up during hours of remote play.

The flexible handgrip appears to still keep access to all the controls including the power button and Wi-Fi enable switch on the sides, and when it slides apart for use it even exposes the UMD tray on the back. When not in use the grip slides together to be a little more compact, but is still a pretty bulky accessory compared to the PSP itself.

The Wii phone a step closer to reality

Wii phone
We told you about the possibility of a Wii phone awhile back, but now thanks to one clever fellow, we may be one step closer. It’s a combination of a Wiimote and a DoCoMo cellphone all slapped together with geek love.

Maybe this will make Nintendo rush one to market sometime soon, but I doubt it. The wrist strap is a nice touch. Just in case you get a call that requires you to want to throw the thing. This is one phone that would give the iPhone some competition. Needless to say we love this phone and want one yesterday.

Apple Design USB Speakers

Posted in Speakers,USB by Reuben Drake on November 8th, 2007

Apple SpeakersMaybe this company just likes making speakers shaped like fruit or maybe they’re taking a more welcome route of latching onto the Apple popularity as apposed to throwing the letter “i” in front of their product name, but either way these speakers look kinda’ cool.

When put together the two channel, 1W speakers are held in place by magnets and they are in fact shaped like an Apple and have no affiliation to Apple the company. The speakers are powered by a USB connection from your computer and connect sound through a standard 3.5mm audio jack from your computer or just about any mp3 player. They come on colors of red or green and measure, well, about the size of an apple at 112x104x56mm each. The Apple Design speaker set runs about 25 Euros, (~$36 USD) on Ebay.de.

Pulse monitor glove from BeurerIt’s not exactly a glove and I don’t know if I’d classify it as a watch either, but it is something new that will be shown off at the Wearables Technologies Congress in Munich, Germany this month. This exercise gadget is like a second skin according to Beurer, the makers of the device. It wears on your wrist and hand similar to a glove and monitors your pulse without the need for a chest belt like most heart rate monitors.

Instead of reading the electric pulses from your heart, this this pulse …
