Some specs include a 10.1″ display at 1,366 x 768 resolution, an Intel Atom N450 1.66GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, a 250GB hard drive, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and WiMAX and Windows 7 Starter Edition. Looks like this is a Japan only item at the moment. So if you want one, go ahead and import one.

We first told you about the Sony Vaio M netbook back in January, and its existence was confirmed this month. Now Sony has announced its Vaio M netbook officially.

It’s a budget computer, but one that has the latest generation Intel Atom chip, meaning faster speed and better battery life. It has 1GB of RAM, a 250GB hard drive, and a 10.1″ display at 1,024 × 600 resolution. No word on price yet, but Tesco will offer it for £299 when it ships, making it the cheapest Vaio laptop ever as far as we know.

CeBIT is a show that is much more focused on computer hardware and other items than CES is. CeBIT kicked off today in Germany and among the new PC hardware being shown off is the Team Xtreem-S1 SSD.

The SSD uses a Sandforce processor for performance and promises up to 270MB/s read speed and write speed of 260MB/s. The SSD uses the SATA II 3Gb/sec interface and supports Windows 7 Trim function.

LG has added a new netbook to their line-up with the launch of the LG X200. The LG X200 Netbook features Intel’s new Pine Trail platform, and comes with a 1.66GHZ Intel Atom processor, 1GB of RAM and features Intel GMA 3150 graphics.

Some other specs include a chicklet style keyboard, a 250GB hard drive, 802.11n WiFi, and a few USB ports. The netbook weighs about 2.7 pounds.

After Dell bought Alienware in 2006, three execs decided to quit so that they could create their own company, Origin, and make high end gaming PCs like Alienware. Their first endeavor is finally here and is dubbed Eon 18. It’s a stylish and highly customizable gaming laptop with an 18.4″ full HD widescreen display, dual Nvidia GeForce GTX 208M GPUs, 7.1 high-def audio, and up to three 250GB SSDs.

It sure looks like Alienware, just without the alien logo. Right now it has a Core 2 Extreme Quad QX9300, but on Monday it will get a Core i7. Don’t expect much battery life with those specs. Only 45 minutes when gaming unplugged.

For a long time many geeks would have bet money that Apple would call its long anticipated tablet computer the iTablet. When the device surfaced as the iPad, I am sure there were more than a few geeks surprised by the name choice.

A company called X2 in the UK has decided if Apple wasn’t going to use the name, it would. The firm has unveiled the iTablet today running Windows 7. The machine uses a 1.6GHz Intel processor and has 250GB of storage space.

PC World reports that Microsoft is set to release a new add-on HDD for the Xbox 360 in Japan that has 250GB of storage space. The drive will also be offered in a stand-alone version as well. The new drive has previously been offered only in a bundle with a new console.

MSI has unveiled a new limited edition netbook to commemorate the millions of Wind netbooks sold globally. The special edition is the U135 and it runs the Intel Pine Trail N450 CPU. The machine will come in silver, charcoal, ruby, and sapphire colors.

Averatec in Japan has announced two brand new All-in-One PCs, the AVA8325E7BD and AVA8325E7SM. The AVA8325E7BD has 3GB of RAM with a 320GB HDD, while the latter has 2GB of RAM and a 250GB HDD.

Both feature an 18.4 LCD screen at 1680 x 945, Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium and a 1.5GHz AMD Athlon X2 3250e Dual Core CPU. Both models will be released at the end of the month for the equivalent of $774 and $996.

Our excitement over the eee Keyboard has grown stale after waiting so long for it, but the Cross PC U510 might be a good alternative. The Cross PC U510 packs in a 1.6GHZ Nvidia Ion, 2GB RAM, 250GB SATA hard drive, with a 5-inch TFT touchscreen embedded on the surface.

Some other features include Wi-Fi, handwriting recognition, and 3D graphics. It has to rely on external power though, having no battery. It can be connected to a normal display, HD TV, and projectors , but no support for dual displays.

Hitachi’s new LCD TVs from the Wooo range are the L26-HP05 and L22-HP05 and can be expected on March 3rd in Japan, retailing for €845 and €995. Both models have a 250GB hard drive for your TV recording needs and BS/110°CS digital TV tuners.

Some other features include a 1,366 x 768 resolution, 400cd/m2 brightness, and DLNA compatibility. Refreshingly, there’s not a hint of 3D support, which we kind of admire.

Do you love TV and radio? Want them in your netbook? Of course you do. Onkyo is launching some new netbooks that feature an AM/FM tuner and a digital terrestrial tuner card for receiving digital TV. The C411A6 has a miniB-CAS system so you can connect cable or an external antenna to the F-type connector for TV viewing. There’s also a recording feature using “PureSpace”.

The C411A5 has a miniPCI chip with an AM / FM radio tuner built-in. You can record your favorite shows with this one too. The PureSpace app sends signals directly to the “PDAP (Pure Direct Audio Path)” so don’t worry about alerts not being heard.

Samsung has announced a new line of stylish and rugged hard drives at CES 2010. Judging by the image above, stylish means that they match your grandmother’s couch. These will come in 3 different physical sizes, 1.8”, 2.5” and 3.5”.

The drive is rugged enough to survive drops and also survive spills from liquids. The G2 portable will be boast hard drive sizes from 250GB to 640GB, while the G3 station will come in 1-2TB capacities. The G3 will even switch itself off when the computer is off and it’s not in use.

LG’s new Blu-ray player won’t rip and store your movies, but the BD590 is still pretty decent. The BD590 will store your music, photos, downloaded movies, rip CDs etc, via USB or Ethernet port, though apparently not through its 802.11n Wi-Fi connection for some reason.

Unfortunately, no DVD and Blu-ray archiving. Which isn’t surprising for legal reasons. Anyway 250GB isn’t ideal for ripping Blu-Ray movies.
