Asus unveils full specs for Eee 1201N netbook

eee1201n-lg-apcAsus announced yesterday that it would be adding NVIDA Ion graphics to several of its Eee computers in different lines. One of the machines getting the Ion power was the Eee 1201N netbook. Today Asus has unveiled the full specs for the 1201N and it should be a great little netbook.

In addition to the Ion lovin’ on the graphics front, the machine gets an Intel Atom 330 dual-core processor. The machine uses the new style chicklet keyboard, which is full size in this case. The machine gets a 12.1-inch LCD with a resolution of 1366 x 768.

iBuyPower Battalion 101 Core i7 NotebookiBuyPower just launched its first Core i7 Notebook, the iBuyPower Battalion 101W870CU. The iBuyPower Battalion 101 comes with your choice of Intel Core i7 processor: the 1.6GHz 720QM, the 1.73GHz 820QM and the 2.0GHz 920XM.

Memory is 2GB of DDR3 RAM standard with the option to increase it to 8GB. It also boasts a GeForce GTX 280M card, along with a 17.3 inch widescreen full HD LCD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080. Hard drives range from 250GB up to 500GB or SSDs which from 64GB up to 256GB. There’s also an optional Blu-ray drive, 7-in-1 card reader, 3D surround sound, 802.11 a/g/n WiFi and LAN.

Lenovo IdeaPad U150 goes official in JapanThe upcoming ULV-powered, 11.6-inch IdeaPad U150 has just been announced in Japan. We don’t know when it will be coming to the US. It packs an Intel Core 2 Duo SU4100 ULV processor, integrated graphics, 2GB of RAM, a 250GB HDD, multitouch trackpad and Windows 7.

We also don’t have a price either but it goes on sale today and should be comparable to Atom machine prices thanks to it’s processor.

New MacBook unibody available todayApple has a new unibody MacBook, which is basically a glossy white version of the familiar 13-inch MacBook Pro and it’s in stores today for $999. The new plastic casing is built in the same way as the aluminum MacBook Pros. This 13-incher features an LED-backlit display, new glass multitouch trackpad, and a built-in 7 hour battery.

Some other features include a 2.26GHz Core 2 Duo, 2GB of RAM (8GB max), an NVIDIA 9400M GPU, 250GB hard drive and SuperDrive. And yes it looks just like all of the other MacBooks. We were kinda hoping for some new design.

Some other specifications include a 10.2 inch LCD display with a resolution of 204 x 600, a 160GB hard drive which is upgradable to 250GB, 2GB of DDR2 Ram, and an unlocked 3G modem.

250GB PS3 slim available on November 3rdAt last! Already released as a series of bundles in the UK, Sony has announced a November release date for the North American 250GB PlayStation 3 Slim. It goes on sale on November 3rd, just in time to gift to yourself for Christmas.

This unit is the same size and shape as the 120GB PlayStation 3 Slim, it just has slightly over double the hard drive space. interestingly, the system seems to be priced a tad lower than its UK counterparts at $349.99.

Toshiba drops Dynabook MX/43, MX/33 laptops for JapanToshiba is no stranger to churning out laptops of all sizes. Now they are introducing two new CULV models: the 13.3-inch MX/43 and 11.6-inch MX/33. Both come make some trade-offs to performance for portability, but the MX/43 is the more balanced model.

The MX/43 features a Core 2 Duo SU9400 processor, 2GB of RAM (up to 8GB), a 250GB hard drive, 10.5 hours of battery life, and Windows 7 Home Premium. The MX/33 takes thing down a notch with a 1.3GHz Celeron 743 processor and a smaller battery, but you can get it in three different colors.

PS3 Slim 250GB spottedWell, we had previously heard that a 250GB version of the PS3 Slim would be showing up and now it looks like those rumors were right. Some pictures of a 250GB PS3 Slim have been spotted at retail.

The 250GB PS3 Slim is listed as “in stock” on Amazon.co.uk, but it’s not arriving until October 6th. But it is for sale at some retail store in Europe apparently right this instant.

Final Fantasy XIII PlayStation 3Final Fantasy fans will want to save up their money for this one. At the Tokyo Game Show press conference today, Final Fantasy XIII producer Yoshinori Kitase unveiled the special FFXIII-themed limited edition PlayStation 3.

As you can see, the FFXIII PS3 is pink on white, with a “Lightning” theme along with FFXIII branding. Under the hood, it will be a 250GB model. If you don’t mind the pink, then consider this a Christmas present to yourself. It’ll be available on December 17 in Japan.

Several 250GB PS3 bundles headed to EuropeDeny everything. That’s Sony’s stance on plans of a 250GB PS3 bundle for the US. Problem is, the rumors just keep on coming. According to Joystiq, the inventory screen shown above is from a supposed Norwegian GameStop employee. It shows five different 250GB PS3 bundles.

Specifically Ratchet & Clank, Assassin’s Creed 2, FIFA 10, Need for Speed: Shift, and Uncharted 2. Prices are apparently the same for each (an $85 increase over the standard 120GB model).

LG intros XPION X30 nettop with NVIDIA ION graphicsLG just unveiled its first small desktop computer dubbed the XPION X30. It’s powered by the NVIDIA ION graphics chipset which can easily handle HD video playback as well as graphically demanding applications, even running on an Intel Atom 230 1.6GHz processor.

Along for the ride are 2GB of RAM and a 250GB hard drive. It’s powered by Windows Vista, but will likely come with Windows 7 very shortly. No word on price just yet.

That means that many of netbooks out there are the same machine with different brand names. The latest non-computer maker to get into the netbook market is Hercules.

Hercules is a company more known for its line of gaming peripherals than anything else. The firm has announced its new eCafe EC-1000W netbook will ship in October for $399. The netbook has a cool design with a lid different from anything else on the market.

250GB PlayStation 3 slim Uncharted 2 bundleWell looky here. We just got news of an 250GB Xbox 360 and now this. A leaked image of a PlayStation 3 slim bundle for Uncharted 2 that also sports a 250GB hard drive.

According to Engadget, they have confirmed that it’s legit, but other than that, there’s no word on when it will be announced or any info on a price or release date. A good guess would be that we will see it hit retail in mid-October alongside Uncharted 2, but no one knows.
