Samsung Stealth spotted

The Samsung Stealth(SCH-i520) has been spotted in the wild and it looks like it will be arriving in mid-April. It might even arrive before HTC’s much delayed Thunderbolt, and if it does Samsung will beat HTC and be the first 4G LTE phone on Verizon’s network.

The Samsung Stealth features a 4.3″ Super AMOLED + display, a 1GHz Hummingbird processor, 8 megapixel rear camera, 1.3 megapixel front camera, LTE/CDMA radios, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, HDMI-out and Android 2.2. Nothing on price yet, but we will know more when it is announced officially.

Sony Vaio S Notebook runs 15-hours with Optional Battery

Sony has added a new notebook to its vaio lineup today that falls into that portable category. It is called the Vaio S series. The notebook features a magnesium frame and weighs just 3.8 pounds. The profile is just under an inch thick and it has a battery good for 7.5 hours per charge. It is also the first notebook to have a sheet battery that fits on the bottom and promises to double the running time.

The 13.3-inch screen features a resolution of 1366 x 768 and it can be fitted with an Intel Core i7 CPU at 2.7GHz. Storage is up to 750GB and a 250GB SSD is optional. There is also up to 8GB of RAM and a Radeon HD 6630M GPU inside with hybrid graphics. Pricing starts at $969.99.

Seagate 3TB Barracuda XT Hard Drive

Seagate, who is always rolling out the latest and greatest hard drives now has another new offering. No surprise there. Their newest 3.5-inch hard drive comes equipped with 3TB of storage space.

It’s called the Barracuda XT and the drive features a SATA 6.0 Gbps interface, 64MB of cache memory and works at 7200 RPM. The 3TB Barracuda XT is available for purchase now if you have the scratch for just $279.

Intel SSD 510 Series with 6Gbps SATA interface, 500MBps transfer speeds

The previous generation of SSDs, at around 280MBps read speeds, are pretty sweet, but now Intel is announcing its new 510 Series SSDs, which up the ante. The Marvell-controlled flash storage drives will zip data around at a rate of 500MB per second and boast write speeds of 315MBps.

The 510 SSDs feature a 6Gbps SATA interface, which ups the performance greatly. Bulk prices for the 250GB SSD 510 will cost you $584, while the slower (450MBps read, 210MBps write) 120GB model will cost you $284.

AT&T offers Amazon Kindle 3G starting March 6th

AT&T will be rolling out an e-book reader in the form of the Amazon Kindle 3G, which will be available from March 6th onwards, for the same price that Amazon is offering the device. That price is $189. To refresh your memory, the Amazon Kindle 3G is one of the better e-book readers thus far. It features a 6-inch electronic paper display and 4GB of internal storage.

If you feel that you don’t need always-on connectivity, there is also a model that offers just Wi-Fi built in. However, it looks like AT&T is only offering the 3G version.

Acer Iconia Tab W500 Tablet available for pre order in Europe

The new Acer Iconia Tab W500 Windows-based tablet is available for pre-order in Europe through several German stores for 499 Euro (or about $686). Seems a bit pricey to me, but then again I’m not a fancy European.

The Iconia Tab W500 features a 10.1-inch 1280 x 800 touchscreen display, a 1GHz AMD C-50 APU processor, an AMD Radeon HD 6250 graphics card, up to 2GB RAM, a 32GB SSD, a 1.3-megapixel camera, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, an HDMI port, a 3-cell battery and it runs Windows 7 Home Premium OS.

SmartQ Ten Android Tablet

Another day, another tablet. SmartDevices has been busy showing off their latest Android tablet at this year’s Mobile World Congress. It’s called the SmartQ Ten. This tablet is packing a 9.7-inch 1024 x 768 touchscreen IPS display, a 720MHz ARM Cortex A9 processor, and a Mali 400 graphics card.

Some other features include 512MB RAM, 8GB of flash storage, GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth and it runs on Android 2.2 OS. Sadly we don’t have any word on pricing or a release date just yet.

NEC announces LifeTouch Note Android Netbook

NEC has just announced the LifeTouch Note, an Android powered netbook that comes with Android 2.2 Froyo and features a 7 inch LCD resistive touchscreen display and a QWERTY keyboard. The NEC LifeTouch Note also includes an NVIDIA Tegra 250 2-core 1GHz processor, 8GB of built in storage, and a two megapixel camera.

The NEC LifeTouch Note also features 802.11 b/g WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, GPS, an SDHC card slot, a USB 2.0 port, and 3G connectivity.

If you are drooling over the new Samsung Galaxy S WiFi PMP, we now have the specifications on these two new media players in the Galaxy S line. The two models are the Samsung Galaxy S WiFi 5.0 and the Galaxy S WiFi 4.0.

The Samsung Galaxy S WiFi 5.0 has a 5 inch WVGA TFT LCD display, a 1GHz processor, plus a 5.0 megapixel camera with an LED flash, and a VGA camera on the front for your video chat needs. There’s also FM Radio, a voice recorder, an accelerometer, GPS, a digital compass and 802.11 b/g/n Wifi, plus Bluetooth 3.0.

HP Veer is tiny

HP has announced the HP Veer, a compact smartphone that makes up for its size with a lot of features. How small is it? The size of a credit card and about as thick as a deck of cards. It runs webOS 2, with support for Adobe Flash, has a small screen and a slide-out QWERTY keyboard.

Other features include an 800MHz processor, a 2.57″ display, 8 GB of internal storage, a 5 megapixel camera, WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth and HP Touchstone support. Nothing on price yet, but it will arrive this spring. This is obviously aimed at the female of the species.

HP Pre 3

The Pre 2 is available for pre-order tomorrow, so we aren’t sure why HP has announced this one now. It kind of kills sales of the Pre 2. Sucks for that model. The Pre 3 is HP’s new webOS phone, packing decent specs. The Pre 3 will sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8x55 processor clocked to 1.4GHz, a 3.58″ touchscreen (480 x 800), 8 or 16 GB of internal storage, and Flash support.

It also features a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, a 5 megapixel rear camera with flash, 720p HD video recording, a VGA front facing camera, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and HP Touchstone support. Yeah, screw the Pre 2. You’ll want to wait for this one.

Archos 70c color e-reader now up for pre-order in the states

Have you been waiting for the Archos 70b color e-reader? The Android 2.1-powered ebook reader with the 7-inch 800 x 480 TFT display is now available for pre-order on JR.com. There’s no picture, but we can be pretty sure that it’s the same as the 70b.

The price is $149.99, but we don’t have a release date yet. It features a resistive touch screen, 600MHz CPU, 4GB Storage, WiFi, SD slot, and a 10-hour battery life.

Silver Satin PS3 hits Japan on March 10th

Most of us have a plain old black PS3. If you’re lucky you have a white version or a titanium blue. This PS3 is a sexy silver satin and is bound to hit Japan on March 10th.

As usual, you get the same specs, with the 160GB model CECH-2500A SS selling for ¥29,980 (about $366) while the 320GB CECH-2500B SS is ¥34,980 (about $427). It even has a matching vertical stand for ¥2,000 (about $24) if you like your PS3 vertical.

Buffalo releases a trio of new USB Flash Drives with AES 256-bit Hardware Encryption

Buffalo has introduced three new USB flash drives, the RUF2-HSCLT, RUF2-HSCLTV and RUF2-HSCLTV3. They are available in 2GB, 4GB, 8GB, 16GB and 32GB capacities and come equipped with AES 256-bit hardware encryption.

Two of these flash drives come pre-loaded with Trend Micro antivirus software which automatically scans every file transferred. The Buffalo RUF2-HSCLTV offers a 1 year Trend Micro subscription, while the Buffalo RUF2-HSCLTV3 offers a 3-year Trend Micro anti-virus subscription. The Buffalo RUF2-HSCLT provides just hardware encryption. All three will be available this month in Japan from $76. to $360.

Silicon Power 32GB Class 4 microSDHC Card

Need a little more storage space in your microSDHC card? Well, Silicon Power has unveiled their newest powerful bit of silicone, a 32GB microSDHC card which comes with Class 4 Speed specification.

This tiny card can store up to 9,000 photos, 6,000 songs or 500 minutes of HD video, and will give you transfer speeds of at least 4MB/s. Unfortunately, there’s no word on pricing right now. Hopefully we will know soon.
