Sony has added some new modules for compatible BRAVIA HDTVs which bring new features to the televisions. These join the already available Internet Video Link module currently priced around $300.

The three new modules let you wirelessly transmit high-definition video (up to 1080i) and audio, play DVDs and add additional HDMI inputs. You can get full details after the jump.

Tired of creating masterpieces on your etch-a-sketch? Maybe you’ve thought about moving up to Lite-Brite art, but it wasn’t quite doing it for you. Well my friends, this is Lite-Brite on steroids, mixed with some ectstacy. It’s Bandai’s Luminodot. Essentially an updated Lite-Brite with over twice the resolution (resolution being pegs) of the original. Just like th original, you get several design templates with the kit. There’s even an online template generator that will render your very own designs to PDF.

The kit also gives you 1,600 pegs in twelve colors, which will fill about half the Luminodot’s 70 x 50, 3,500 peg display. Don’t worry, you can order more if your kid and your pets eat them. It has the typical LED backlighting you would expect, but interestingly it also features twenty-five preprogrammed animated sequences. Wait for it…. Currently it’s only available in Japan. In what is probably the biggest physics experiment in history, today marks the first successful test of the Large Hadron Collidor in Geneva by sending a beam of protons through the the entire underground ring that makes up the world’s largest particle collider. The beam sent through travels through the 17 mile underground ring and nearly the speed of light and can make 11,000 laps through the tube every second.

Legos aren’t just for play you know. They can also be used to construct and even fix important real life things that you can use. Like this Lego PC case for example. Looking like some shiny black monolith, it’s made entirely out of black Lego bricks. Look how nice and shiny that is. He didn’t just randomly put Lego bricks together either. He used MLCAD to specifically design the PC before building.

The PC is a Mini-ITX form factor that allows for a low power PC inside, which runs a 1.5GHz VIA C7 processor and has a 250GB Seagate hard drive. Nets2go has a new set of 9 custom-made wood blinds, but they’re not the kind you find in home decor stores. They feature Web 2.0 logos. You can get them in Google flavor, Firefox, YouTube, Digg, Stumbleupon, Facebook, even Wordpress. Just be warned, being this geeky could cost you your marriage.

In fact, these blinds have an interesting story. Net2go manufactured the entire set for a customer who separated from his wife a couple of weeks after installing these blinds, because “She doesn’t understand the intense geek in me”. Maybe he should have added match.com into the mix.

The Japanese have done a ton of wacky things they should be ashamed of gadget-wise and otherwise. Now they’re getting into politics to sell phones and the result is bizarre. This commercial for Japan’s EMobile cellular company has a monkey dressed up in a suit, at a podium in front of a crowd.

The crowd is holding signs that read “Change.” At the end, the monkey cries a tear, clearly ashamed as he should be. Bad monkey. Their intentions may or may not have been entirely innocent, but we all know that if this aired in America there would be hell to pay.

If you happen to be in Las Vegas this weekend, you might want to check out the 2008 USA Rock Paper Scissors League Championship on June 20 in Mandalay Bay Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. The Champion with the best hand skills will win a $50,000 prize and a ticket to compete in Beijing,China during the Summer Olympics, where they will represent the U.S. in the inaugural International Rock Paper Scissors Federation Championship.

I’ve never been entirely clear on the official rules. It always gets tricky with rock against paper. Paper can wrap around a rock and strangle it, but on the other hand, rock can beat paper to a pulp. Check out the video below. It’s strangely mesmerizing.

The Wii has changed the face of gaming with it’s interactive motion controls. So much so, that every other console has begun work on their own version. Just as the Wii has changed gaming, gamers are constantly changing the Wii console itself, giving it all kinds of personalities. Here’s a look at some of our favorites.

You want some of that sweet solar juice, but you don’t want to tear up your roof just to get solar panels installed. Lumeta’s PowerPly could be the answer. The panels use traditional roofing adhesives, that most roofers will be familiar with, and the process means that there is no need to drill holes and bolts as with most other systems required to mount solar panels. It’s also faster. They can do an entire roof in 35 minutes!

Last week we told you about the Beamz Laser Music System, but we had no idea how um…retarded this thing is. I’m still not sure if I watched a comedy sketch or not and I’m not entirely clear on what era I’m living in.

Unless you are a middle-aged metrosexual who loves lounge music, you really aren’t going to want this thing for $600. It makes you look like a cat pawing a ball of yarn. Your money is better spent on video games. The big bald guy seems so desperate to fill the void in his soul with his playing. Probably because he looks like fat bald Vader from Return of the Jedi. Check out this guy with a little too much time and money on his hands with a customized Segway. The personal transport device is outfitted with what looks like 6 small car tires, three on each side, making it the widest and possibly the most impractical Segway we’ve seen yet. The tires stretch it out two feet on either side and sound like they add as much noise as they do traction. Check out the video after the jump.

At first glance you might just think this is a new concept phone. It’s actually a machine designed so that you can get your wank on, and it opens up so you can clean it easily. Ain’t that a pretty picture. It’s made of silicon, and it’s got vacuum and pump buttons on it for you to adjust the sidewalls, so you can pretend you are with a really hot girl.

Apparently it’s good for fifty uh…uses. It will cost you $99, but hey, they also throw in three containers of lube. This gadget will help you do what you already do anyway, just high tech. I can sense that some of you are excited. I can almost hear you thinking, “This is like using someone else’s hand entirely”. That’s right. No need to make your hand fall asleep before the deed any longer my friends. And for others out there…This beats the hell out of using a cardboard TP tube.

After removing video clips that were deemed as offensive to officials in Pakistan, the country decided to lift a country-wide ban on the YouTube website that it had imposed last week. The popular video sharing site had videos of cartoons originally published earlier in a Danish newspaper depicting the prophet Mohammad in which Pakistan lawmakers described as “blasphemous”.

The government of Pakistan has today ordered all local internet providers to block access to Google’s YouTube video sharing site “until further notice” due to offensive content. According to officials, the YouTube website contains cartoons depicting the Prophet Mohammad which angered a large number of Muslims.

The same cartoons were published earlier in a Danish newspaper which led to protests, rioting and eventually more than 50 deaths in countries including Pakistan. Internet surfers in Pakistan trying to access the YouTube site were met with a simple message saying the site was unavailable, with the local ISP’s unable to restore access despite upset users.

Looking eerily like something out of old low budget Sci-Fi movies, this pyramid electric car weighs 8,000-pounds and is powered by 80-batteries, with four engines. It can supposedly reach speeds of up to 45mph. I love how the canopy pops open like a Colonial Viper from Battlestar Galactica. It was built by a Father and his two sons. The “Dream Car” is solar powered, on four wheels. The vehicle can run for 80 miles on a single charge, taking about four hours to charge the battery. It’s got some extras too. An in-car heating system for one, electric brakes, gel-filled tires and cool neon lights. This was obviously a labor of love as it cost the Zanises $60,000 in supplies, and a ton of hours to build. They’re now looking for financial backers, because they need $40,000 to build a Mark 2 prototype. They would like to get the range up to 500 miles.
